Happened to see this shop on my excursion to Bainbridge Island. Very well maintained, clean, owners are friendly and most importantly loved the quality of the toys. I am sure many would be from China but they weren't cheaply made. I hope you get what I mean. The quality is good and they have lots of variety including soft toys, books, games, masks, board games, lego, bow and arrow etc. Do visit if you can!

My kids ran in here before I got a chance. Entering Calico Toy Shoppe, I can see why!The store is huge and full of toys. There's well-known brands along with unique toys that I have never seen before. I'm pretty sure they carry more stuff than a Toys R Us!My kids explored each area, squealing with joy every time they found something cool and awesome. There was a lot of squealing!If you're in Bainbridge, you definitely need to visit this toy shop.

I think this might be the only toy shop on the island. Its right on the busy waterfront area so you can't miss it. There was a line to get in when I went on a busy weekend to keep the number of people inside low. The toy selection is pretty varied, but don't be surprised if prices are a little more than what you'd pay online.

Wish I was a kid again.Awesome place and delightful staff.I love that most of their toys are unpowered and require imagination and effort.They have some entertainment toys but most are wonderful for fun, development and learning.If you are in the area, definitely check it out.

This is a great toy store. We’ve lived in several places since having our son, and this store was by far our favorite. My son still misses it after we moved away last year. Definitely worth checking out. They have a large selection of toys and had a good selection of board games (for kids and adults) as well as puzzles.

I loved how well-organized everything was. Stores that cater to children can become messy fast, but clearly the staff here have everything whipped into shape. Would have loved a wider jigsaw puzzle selection (especially 1000 and 1500 pcs), but I am very happy with the one I bought.

This is a great toy star with something for everyone. I could have spent an hour in here. There are great games, gimmicks, stuffed animals, and creative toys. I will definitely go back here when in the area.

SO CUTE!!! The perfect place for young-kid birthday gifts (once i showed up to a friend’s birthday and three other people had the same classic Calico Cat wrapping paper!). They also have board games, jewelry, craft kits, and more! Such a great shop and have a bubble machine outside in the summer which always makes me grin.

Pretty disappointed by our experience here. For a children’s toy store, they gave no friendly word, watched my family like a hawk and yelled at my 3 yo when he put a toy ON his mouth. We bought the toy so she didn’t feel like he’d “soiled” it but I have never been so annoyed about a less child friendly environment in my life. Will not be back.

This place was just awesome!So many toys to look at, and not your "run of the mill" toys either, very unique stuff.The clerk was very helpful and answered all my questions and helped me pick out just the right toy, and was never pushy just for the sale.There were benches to rest on just in front of the store, which was nice since we were walking.

Thank you to the Calico Toy Shoppe staff who went ABOVE and BEYOND for us! We purchased multiple small gifts to give our young daughter as she recovered from a surgery. The staff was more than happy to wrap every single one for us!!! Because of their effort, my daughter got to pick out a new beautifully wrapped gift each day. Her excitement helped distract her from the difficult recovery she had ahead. We can’t thank you all enough!!!

We recently moved to Bainbridge Island island and are thrilled with the choices at Calico Toy Shop!! It's wonderful to have such diverse and interesting options for our little one's. Bonus, customer service is great and the price points are excellent.

The people watch you like a hawk, and some of the workers are rude, especially at a toy store where you would expect them to be very nice. One time also the workers screaming at a 3 year old!!

Lots of variety. Natural wood toys for babies. Unique board games. Plenty of staff. Nice amount of demo toys. Picture booth, too.

WAY OVERPRICED! Happens to be one of if not the only toy shop on the island. I don't recommend going her to get a good deal. Bring extra money.
