I was very disappointed with my tattoo. I went in there with my own design, was originally told they could not do it because the lines would be too thin (which was fine by me because I'd much rather be told they can't do it rather than have a permanently messed up tat on my body), but the artist ended up assuring me he could do it the way I wanted. He drew up a stencil, and it looked exactly like how I'd drawn it myself, so essentially I was very excited! Unfortunately, the finished product was messy, left lots of scarring, and looked dissimilar to the stencil (please note that the ink had smudged quite a bit on the picture of the stencil, but he told me it wouldn't be a problem as he could see the lines clearly through the smudging), not to mention the lines were not thin like he assured me they would be. I have included a photo of the stencil and the tattoo to show the differences between the two.Please don't get me wrong, I know some of the artists here are great. My boyfriend tagged along with me and got his first tattoo ever there, and his looks fantastic! He did have a different artist though. But I was so disappointed with mine that I immediately went home and called a tattoo removal service, and I am currently in the process of getting it removed. I just wanted to leave this review so others are a bit more wary and won't have to pay $1800 to get a tattoo removed that they really wanted but ended up being done very poorly.

I love this place! The people and environment were nice and comforting. Gabby/Gabbie did my tattoo and she was very sweet, had a lot of personality, and was a pleasure to talk to. She’s also very skilled and professional and I love the tattoo I got! The tattoo was a fair price as well! I’d recommend getting a tattoo from here as I will again!

Came in off a recommendation from my mother, whose ink was done by Brandy. No appointment, walk-in off the street, but shout-out to Nate, with the amazing customer service. He took great care of me, and was able to plan, sketch, and tat all that same day/session. Fantastic line work, with some damn fine shading.The shop itself was clean, but had that lived-in atmosphere that reassures the customer with the knowledge their artist is a true professional. All-in-all, I too, would highly recommend Army-Navy to anybody looking for some quality ink!Service: Tattoos

My husband and I came in during our anniversary vacation as walk ins. The energy was chill, the artists were professional, and the facility was clean. Jade did my tattoo and did a FANTASTIC job! Not only was her line work great, but her personality and customer service was amazing. It felt like sitting with someone I had known forever, because she was so friendly and personable. I have been coming to this shop for years and always have a great experience. Today was no exception as I got my first big tattoo (half sleeve). Valorink was amazing to work with. She helped bring my vision to life and was gentle throughout the process. I look forward to coming back and working with her again! If your looking for quality tattoos this is the spot.Update: I went back a couple of weeks later and added color to my tattoo! It still looks amazing and I am constantly getting compliments!

Went with my son to get his birthday tattoo, the entire staff was so welcoming and kind. They drew his tattoo right on the spot and fit me in for “a quick finger” tattoo 🤣 we had a good laugh. Made an amazing memory thanks to an amazing staff. I called to see if they did walk in. When they answered the phone the lady was joyful and glad to help me. I walked in they weren’t to busy and got me right in. I went to a few different ones before I went and they tried to charge me outrageous prices. When I asked them the price it was reasonable so I said let’s do it. I showed spider the tattoo I wanted he drew up something amazing. When I was done it was literally perfect. Spider made what was in my head come to real life and it was amazing. We had an amazing experience yesterday at army Navy Tattoo. Our artist was Nathan Walton and he went above any beyond. He truly is an amazing artist and has a lot of pride in his work and what he does. My boyfriend and i have a decent amount of Ink already, but it was a breath of fresh air working with Nathan with the amount of care and consideration he showed. His work station is very clean and he is very particular to keep everything sanitary for himself and his clients. We will definitely seek him out next time we are looking to get work done. I went to Army-Navy tattoo today as a walk-in wanting a tattoo in remembrance of my grandma who just passed. The wait time was not long at all, the shop and all its artists were very cool, professional, and nice! The shop itself was VERY clean and organized! I had the pleasure of Jade drawing up and doing my tattoo, she was AMAZING! She’s very talented! My vision was 100% met and I couldn’t be happier with her work! My fiance recommended this tattoo shop and I am so glad we went here. We felt right at home when we walked in the door, we were greater and the artists worked with me to find the perfect artist. I gave Jade 4 bioshock flash sheets and had her choose. I'm in love with what she chose and the tattoo she gave me! She was considerate. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I just recently got my tattoo there by Nate. He did a really good job and I was really happy with the results I have something go remember home with. Nate was full of good ideas when helping me determine how exactly I wanted the tattoo to come out. Which is something that I really like because it’s like there own little touch to your tattoo. He was also really helpful with any questions I had about the healing process. My tattoo is pretty much fully healed in a little over a week and came out great. My husband and I both walked in for small tattoos. We were welcomed and felt very comfortable talking to the owner & our artist, Justin. The inside of the building is free of clutter and well kept. The area for actual services was super clean and sterilized. Justin was very personable and obviously took pride in his work. He made sure we were both comfortable at all times and was excellent with explaining his process both before and during our procedures. We each got the tattoos we imagined and are so pleased with the work Justin created. Definitely will return to this location for future tattoos should we be in the area again.

Got my tattoo done in April 2022 by Nathan. He did the most awesome job drawing and inking my very special tattoo. He took his time and used his expertise to guide me in the right direction as to what he thought would work best, while considering my input. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality and look. The entire shop is spic and span, sanitization measures were observed, and staff was welcoming and pleasant. Prices were reasonable. This place is extremely chill and filled with awesome people. I spent 4 months with Sean doing multiple sessions on my biomechanical arm sleeve that was also a partial cover up, and couldn’t be happier. He took a lot of time with multiple panels to get the detail to flow properly. My boyfriend and I had a specific and small tattoo idea and called several days ahead to ask about scheduling them. We were told to walk in Saturday when they opened and it should be easy.It was not easy. We waited over 30 minutes to speak to an artist, who appeared intoxicated, and were told they might be able to schedule it for late this evening. The receptionist was extremely rude and condescending about what we wanted, despite her claims of being nonjudgmental.We decided not to do business with them due to how dismissive and uninviting the shop was. Only the female artist directly behind the counter spoke to us with any enthusiasm. We will not be returning and would not recommend this shop.

I had such a great “first” time experience at Army Navy tattoo! The staff are all amazing, professional, and clearly very talented and skilled at what they do! Huge shout out to Nate for these killer pieces! My best friend and I have been wanting to get matching “best friend” tattoos for a few years, and he made our dream a reality. I sent him a basic picture of two water color cardinals and he nailed it! I will definitely be making a trip back in the future, with the being said I live in Richmond, VA. My best friend and I went in for matching water color tattoos and John took really good care of us. He was super friendly and patient and our tats came out better than we hoped :) the owner even made rounds checking on everyone! Def recommend.*UPDATE* After leaving that day I reached back out to the artist numerous times for a touch up as some of the tattoo faded INSTANTLY, as well as other work he said he would do, and was treated rudely if acknowledged at all but mostly left on read. I’ve never been back. Follow up work is pretty normal and I had to use a different artist which sucked and cost me more money.

Very happy & pleased! This is only part one of my tattoo done, have to go back for color. Done by Dave who of which is the nicest, coolest and most awesome guy! We bonded over old anime shows as he was prepping me and had a whole conversation for awhile. He would ask me how I'm doing and if I needed to take a break/adjust myself if I was uncomfortable. I love the atmosphere and boss lady (owner) is so cool and straight forward. They made me very comfortable there. As a walk in, it's worth the wait of getting a tattoo so I recommend going. BUT BE THERE BEFORE THEY OPEN SO YOU CAN BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. ❤️

I had a tattoo reworked by Dave and he did a great job. He explained a lot about tattoos and the after care. He also made sure I was comfortable. I enjoyed the time I spent in the shop, staff are nice and fun to talk with. I'm looking forward to going back soon. I recommend anyone to go there.

I absolutely LOVE Army Navy Tattoo! They did such an amazing job with my thigh piece and with my best friends arm piece!! It was her first time getting a tattoo and everyone was so kind and her artist Nick made sure to explain everything to her. My artist, Dave, was awesome too! Made me feel comfortable while he was tattooing my leg. I would definitely recommend this tattoo shop to all my friends and family.
