I wish I would have read the Lowe's reviews on delivery issues before I purchased from Lowe's opposed to Home Depot. First off, I would like to say the associate that helped with my purchase, Chuck, was great! He is NOT the reason I write this review. I purchased 3 appliances from Lowe's in Tappahannock... they gladly took my money... they made the sale. NOT the third party delivery company! If you don't have control over the "schedule" then I would recommend NOT offering YOUR customers the option to select a day for delivery. A note to improve your terrible management's customer service... Both the female manager who answered the phone at 7:32pm on Sunday 3/24/24 and the male manager above her weren't helpful and placed blame on the 3rd party delivery company. Again I am Lowe's customer NOT the 3rd party's customer. The female manager asked for my phone number, when I attempted to clarify if she wanted my number, or the number on the order, she rudely cut me off and said she wanted my number... nope, actually she needed the number attached to the order. As a manager, you don't ever place blame on someone YOU hire to make your deliveries. As a manager, there is ALWAYS something you can do to help make a bad situation better. So take this advice from a customer and a manager; Change your process to handle an upset customer. Change your process on how your delivery schedule is handled; perhaps give the custome the number and have them schedule directly with the 3rd party. Lastly TRAIN your managers! It's terrible that I had a better experience with the gentleman taking over $3,000 from me than the manager who should have, at minimum, apologized and not made excuses by placing blame elsewhere.

Customer service is non-existent in this store. However, another corporation that could most likely care less about the customer. As much as I hate having to shop here, I believe their staff hates having to go there as well. With that said, I have to go here often and I have found 4 people in this whole store that are nice and will help. Unfortunately, those 4 people do not work open to close 7 days a week.

Not impressed with the manager in gardening, the plant was broke off, and the other 3 branches were bent down. He pointed out it was still living .Suggested I stake the three pieces.Stated he could not allow any other mark down. Several of the same plants were purchased by another customer who did not purchase the one left,which I would have purchased. At a lower price. All was on mark down. l think he did not even attempt to give any customer service. It is noted on many occasions that the plants are trashed. 😕

I go there often and everyone is helpful, polite and friendly. They are knowledgeable about just about anything. I've actually gotten advice on doing a project in my house and the advice they gave me, I took, and it turned out perfect

BEWARE!!! I ordered a fridge & stove, was given a “window frame” time of 7:30am-11:30am. After taking off work to ensure I was there (it was mandatory) then still no delivery.When I called to the store the associate acted like “oh well” sorry it’s a 3rd party company so we can’t track it. Now why would I buy something from that location to be told if it doesn’t come deal with the delivery driver not the company. It’s ridiculous. I finally spoke to Heather and she is the only reason I don’t cancel the whole purchase!!(very polite & accommodating)

They were okay other than if you have tattoos you will be profiled where it makes you uncomfortable completely where you can't even go to self-checkout without them standing over top of you thinking you're stealing something even though I probably make close to $150,000 a year way more than they would ever make and they assume because I have tattoos I'm out to get them

I actually had a wonderful purchasing experience with Lowes Tappahannock for my new Samsung Refrigerator. I even sat in the appliance department with the manager and wrote up a glowing review on the gentleman that helped us. Fast forward a week to delivery day and the install crew were just as awesome! They were patient, careful and new what the were doing. So far everything is great.24 hours later it turns out the refrigerator portion isn’t cooling down (freezer works great). So naturally, I call Lowe’s, let them know the issue and they transfer me to appliances. I again explain the issue to the lady that answered. She responded with, “okay, well what do you want US to do about?” I was completely taken aback. I’m obviously calling because I would like some support and guidance on the next move while hundreds of dollars are groceries are wasting away in a cooler of melting ice. She says, “well we can come pick it up since it was delivered yesterday.” It wasn’t even the things she was saying, it was her tone. Like I’m an idiot to think that Lowes could assist me in anyway and now that I’ve made my purchase they could care less anymore. I actually ended up informing her that she was being rude and she got super defensive and yelled that she wasn’t. It sucks to have such a wonderful experience with a company to have it ruined by one person that can’t be bothered to show some compassion in a customer facing role, especially with the many years of experience she claimed to have.

Asked staff for location of item. They sent me to the complete opposite end of the store TWICE. Cashier in gardening wasn't the least but friendly or helpful. I expected better of Lowes. Finally found John who helped me find what I needed. He was great. Brought product home and half of it was broken. Now I have to travel another 1.5 hour round trip to exchange it. Large sigh.

Paid for lumber to be delivered on a Wednesday. Had to call them at 2:00 in afternoon for them to tell me it would be Friday. Got a call 8:00 Friday morning that it would be delivered. Got a call at 20:00 that it would be Saturday. I went and got my money back . That's last time I support this store.

My refrigerator died. Originally went to Gloucester location because it is closer. They were closed because no power. Drove an additional hour to Tappahannock. After finally getting waited on, being told no refrigerators in stock, picked one out to be delivered (6 days later), along with a dishwasher. I was told I would receive a call the day before to confirm delivery and a call within 30 minutes from delivery crew prio to being delivered. Because of the wide delivery time, I scheduled to take the day off. I never received a call the day before. The morning of scheduled delivery I called to confirm. I tried using the automated system-could not find my order. After finally beingtransfered to a living person, they could not confirm my order/delivery. After living out of a cooler for a week & taking a day off work, I wanted the new refrigerator I had paid for! After me insisting I had ordered it in person in that store, 30 minutes later they found my order. Again, was told I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to delivery. Delivery showed up several hours later with no phone call. Old refrigerator out & new one in. Thought the water line had been connected prior to delivery/installation person leaving. Was I wrong! I had an inch of water in my kitchen floor.

I have been waiting for 3 weeks for information regarding an incorrect order. I have called multiple times and been to the store with the item, however, no one is able to assist me. I have been told to write down my information and I will get a call with in the next 3 days. I am being told this every time I call or walk into the store. No one has returned a call to me about the item that is incorrect. I have had good luck when I can find an item in the store (but always check for damage before you leave.) Most items that I order include damaged or incorrect items. After this experience I will not place another order through Lowes.

I wanted to thank the incredibly helpful staff at this Lowe’s for going above and beyond to take care of my and my fiancé’s needs! Howard and Amy were absolutely fantastic and Frank the manager involved ran all over the store with us to make sure we had everything we needed. He even helped us load our trailer! I needed a cool scarf for work. They had plenty in stock. Also found a couple of boonie hats to pick from. It was extremely hot outside but cool in the store so shopping was very comfortable. Lots of people in store so I didn't stay long. I used their self checkout for the 1st time. It was so simple.

I drove an hour from Reedville to Tappahannock And upon arrival I was advised that the store was closed And went to their “winter hours” several weeks ago yet their website has not been updated… it took two hours out of my night And wasted gas for absolutely nothing. There has been a steady flood of customers pulling up And making it to the front door only to be turned away, By the three employees standing there socializing. . There are multiple employees here yet no one can help us and no one can even be bothered to update The website for the correct hours .what a shame and what a waste of time and money for me this evening

I really like Lowe's. The staff are helpful with finding items & providing suggestions. What I find irritating is going in one direction to find the isle blocked with pallets, trying to maneuver another direction only to find a pallet jack/fork lift blocking that isle and having to walk further down to find a clear path to get to the item I require; esp when there are employees who witness it & choose to ignore it. Yes, walking is a good thing, but when a person is on a tight schedule or they have health issues making walking painful, it is irritating. I suggest Lowes pay some overtime to put out seasonal items at night, while store is closed and have isles clear during shopping hours.

I have shopped this lowes many times and it is hit or miss with the stock and the customer service. However today's visit was by far the worst, every employee I encountered was unfriendly seemed to have an attitude. There was one exception the guy in plumbing was helpful. Otherwise, paint, cashier, and lumber were not pleasant. I got past all that but what really did it for me was when I was trying to pull my cart out of the way and my hands where full the plumbing piece I had was not deactivated and so it went off and before I could move out of the doorway it went off again and the girl was like "can you" and gestured with her hand and said"move". I would rather drive an extra half hour to 45 mins to go elsewhere at this point.

We went to this location for 6 80lbs bags of concrete mix. April was very happy to help us find exactly the right product for our needs. However, half of the bags were ripped open on the pallet. We asked for help to move the ripped open stock and load the bed of the truck. April was very speedy to page for assistance with the heavy lifting. After 4 pages and 10 minutes, nobody responded. We are not impressed with the carryout service, stocking and the replenishment at this location. I wonder what the outcome would have been if he had hurt himself slipping in spilled concrete mix. I think it might have been a scenario for an accident and lawyers love accidents with big box stores
