ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They never answer and when they do they always have an attitude. I had one refill left on my medication and they are trying to tell me I have been taking it too long and they need to contact my doctor after my doctor already called in my refills. YALL ARE NOT DOCTORS, YALL ARE A PHARMACY! My doctor even said this was not right, so I will be switching. I have never had people be so rude and so lazy. They don't care about anyone but their paychecks! And lot of times I will get a notification that my medicine is ready and get there and it's not! Then they get attitudes with you. It's just a not we'll put together pharmacy and hopefully they will close down. Any mistakes they make, it's the computers fault. There will be 4 people in line and you will be waiting for 45 minutes while all the employees are cackling and joking and on their personal phones !

What happened to customer service in our small town. I was at CVS and in line prior to their lunch at 1:30 to pick prescriptions. There was 1 customer at counter having difficulty working the machine to pay for his medication, 2 customers in line in front of me and 1 customer behind me. The gentleman at the counter finally got his card to work and the 2 customers in front of me went up to the counter and were waited on. That's when an employee came to the counter and announced to myself and the person behind me would have to come back after lunch. I can understand turning customers away that aren't already in line waiting but to turn a way customers already in line is ridiculous. CVS in Smithfield VA your customer service today was terrible. I worked in customer service for 20 years and we would never turn away a customer that was already in line prior to closing.

Pharmacy is almost always “running behind.” Called and placed a refill at 10am, was told it would be ready by 2pm. I get to the pharmacy at 430pm and i am told they haven’t even started yet. Absolutely ridiculous and a shame it’s the only CVS nearby.

The service is disorganized and slow. Way too slow. We arrive when the pharmacy opened to pick up a prescription, they told us it wasn’t ready and to come back an our later. We do and it’s still not ready, even after waiting in the line for 30 mins (for maybe 5 cars). They proceed to take forever to get it ready when we arrive. not sure what’s up but the management seems to need help. Many people rely on these medications and it can be detrimental when the pharmacy tells you it’s ready and it isn’t.

I have gone to this pharmacy 5 times in one week to get my prescription and each time it’s not ready. I even received a message saying it will be ready at 4pm. Waited in line for 30 minutes to pick up. Was told the message was an error and it still wasn’t ready. I’ve been waiting for these meds for 1 week. I’m on hold right now, going on 1.5 hours. No answer. Maybe they will eventually pick up or hang up on me when they close at 6pm as they have done before. So sad, they need help so they can serve our small community. Begging someone to help this pharmacy and those who depend on pharmaceutical meds.

While in line to pick up a prescription, the tech advised several of us that they were closing for lunch, and we would have to come back when they re-opened. This was at 1:30 and they would be back at 2:00. It is not realistic that a Pharmacy would close during their store hours, but I guess the customer does not count. I would ask that any customers they have, and those who read this, would no longer patronize this location, or CVS as a whole. REALLY SAD!!

Don't walk...Run from this place!!!!! The women in the pharmacy are rude, ghetto, disrespectful, patronizing, and racist!! I am black and they were all white. I watched them even talk rudely to an elderly white gentleman that walked with a cane. They harrass the young and the old. I just so happen to be African american. I felt racially discriminated against because I am black. I was screamed at. The drive thru is hardly ever open. Even the hours that it is supposed to be open! They make up their own hours for the drive thru. I hate going inside this store. They said that they close at 6pm. They never have your prescriptions ready when they send you text messages saying that they are. Beware!!! They will call the police on you for the hell of it when they know they're wrong! Just because they can. This pharmacy doesn't deserve half a star. They need to replace the women back there. There used to be nicer women back there years ago. I myself will never step a foot back in that CVS store. Call corporate and complain about these ghetto attitude no patience for anyone women. For the record the pharmacist lady was clueless and unprofessional as well. They were telling everyone that their prescriptions were not ready and to come back in the morning just to get the people out of the store and it was only 5:20. They were open till 6. Do yourself a favor go across the street to the rite aid or better yet go to the rite aid in Carrollton Va. That's where I transferred my business to. They answer the phone when you call and you don't have to wait on the phone for an hour while no one picks up the line. The CVS on Benns Church Blvd, in Smithfield Va. needs to shut its doors immediately until they learn how to treat people with respect no matter what gender, age or nationality. They are playing with people's lives and most importantly our health.

I made a covid vaccination appointment for my wife and I a week ago. Get there 15 minutes before the appointment and was told they did not have the vaccine. I received a text one hour before the appointment to confirm. Their system is broken and the employees there don't seem to care they waisted my time.

This store is the WORST pharmacy in Virginia, they closed the whole pharmacy without saying anything while also having my medication in progress for over a week! Due to this I will be out of my medicine. They also have the worst customer service and are always backed up.if I could give them no start I would.

Absolute worst pharmacy ever! I've had to call corporate several times. I'm trying to get a script canceled do to it in progress for days and always keeps saying the next day. While on the phone with corporate they couldn't even reach the pharmacy. Don't waste your time with this pharmacy.

I'm highly upset with this pharmacy. It's the only CVS in this area. Every month I go through the same thing when it's time to refill my family's prescriptions. They take the phones off the hook so they don't have to help anybody that's trying to call! When I go in there is hardly any customers that need their attention! I've actually called and been in the store to notice if I hear the phone ring or what they do! I'm blaming the managers for poor managing! Poorly managing the staff and poorly helping the customers. Not just the ones in the store! This has been a horrible experience! There has been so much going on here that has upset me as a customer and I highly think they should restaff the whole pharmacy! I would advise in my opinion to find a different pharmacy if you can help it

I had switched over to this pharmacy from the Rite Aid at Eagle Harbor in Carrollton, Va. This CVS appears to have enough pharmacy employees, and still they cannot get these orders out. They make you stand in lines in the store because they close their drive-thru down what seems to be 65% of the time. I’ve had prescriptions called in by my doctors as much as a week prior, and when you get there, stand in a line, and finally get up to the window, they don’t have them ready, tell you there were delays, and you can come back later and it will be ready. They also mention that you can wait in the store for 30 minutes for it to be filled, problem with that….they tell about 50% in that line the very same thing. They close down the entire pharmacy area for lunch, so if you show up on your time, again..you either wait or come back. I have made as many as 3 trips back to this store, some 12 miles away from our house, to pick up just my insulin. Who closes down their pharmacy for lunch, while the store part remains open? I have estimated that I have spent about $20 per month in gas just to pick up my prescriptions. Their automated refill system and false “I’m ready” alerts are a joke, and I am actually surprised that this pharmacy is still open. It is that bad. This store is in serious need of CVS management oversight at the corporate level before their delays in filling these prescriptions on time, kill someone. When you stand in the pickup line for almost 40 minutes, find out your prescription placed over a week ago by your doctor still hasn’t been filled yet, and have any questions about another med, they tell you that you must go down to the next window…the drop off window, and someone will help you. So to another line you must go. Everyone needs to email The Virginia Board of Pharmacies. They supposedly regulate them.

The most poorly managed pharmacy I have ever done business with. High turnover rate in the pharmacy is indicative of bad management, which trickles down to prescriptions not being refilled on time or correctly, as has happened to me on multiple occasions. Drive through is almost always closed because of lack of staff. After years of dealing with terrible service from this place, they've messed up my medication for the last time. It may be a hassle to transfer a prescription out, but that process is still less time consuming than dealing with the amateur hour clown show they have going on here. Avoid.

Waited on hold for quite some time, not necessarily their fault, they could be busy, but when I did get on with someone, she told me that she couldn’t tell me over the phone wether or not they had my medication in stock so I’d just have to have my Doctor send it over and hope that they had it. They’re literally the first pharmacy to ever tell me they couldn’t release wether or not they had a medication on hand. Huge waste of time to hit my doc up, have them write me a prescription, send it to these people, and then hope for the best.

I'll start out by saying some of the staff that work here are actually nice, but there are some that make visiting this pharmacy an experience I'd like to forget.Had my wife's doctor call in a medication, was told it was ready for pickup, only to get there and be told that they couldn't find it. A few days go by of them "looking", only to be told it's ready and arrive to pick up the wrong medication. It was a complete duplicate of what her previous doctor ordered. After several more days of trying to get my wife's medication I'm told the pharmacy never received the order. Doctor verified and then called to get them straight. Not sure what is going on at this store but these experiences couldn't have come at a worse time. I hope they get things in order because people's lives literally depend on them.If this is the best they can do then serious consideration should be given to shut down.

My 82 year old mother just left there. She got there @ 1 pm in line to pickup her meds. At 1:15 they lady at the window put up the closed for lunch sign while waiting on the person in from of my mother. When it was my mothered turn the lady told her they were closed for lunch, my mother told her she was in line at 1 before the sign went up and the lady hung up the phone they use to talk to people in their cars and closed the window and walked away. This is the 3rd time she has gone to pick up the same meds. She’s had 4 calls telling her the meds were ready and the other 3 times she has been to pick them up was told they were not ready. Now she has to go back again to get her meds. So 5th time is the charm???

This store has zero respect and not a care in the world for there customers. Medicine was called in over a week ago and still is not ready. Don't bother calling the pharmacy they let you sit on hold for an hour just to answer and immediately hang up on you then turn around and close the pharmacy early without any notice.

Like everyone else is saying, absolutely the worst. Called in a refill 24 hours ago using the automated phone system. System said it would be filled by 5:00pm yesterday. Today, the phone system says they are working on it with no estimated complete date/time. Tried to transfer to the pharmacy to talk with someone. On hold for over 10 minutes now, I hung up. Based on my experience (and others), sounds like no one there gives a rip. I will be paying more for my prescriptions elsewhere, but, this is the last time I will use CVS for anything.

This is hands down THE WORST pharmacy I have ever used - deserves zero stars. Out of my daughter's epilepsy medication every single month. Gave her a 60 day supply on a 90 day Rx and refused to fix it, told us insurance wouldn't do a vacation override (lie), prescribed the wrong dosage of her epilepsy medication, they refuse to answer their phone, drive thru is closed most days, have to wait in line a minimum of 30 minutes to pick up Rx. I just made the switch to Rite Aid on Carrollton Blvd. Their pharmacist was able to straighten out CVS's mess in less than 30 minutes. I will never use CVS again.

Pharmacy delays are disastrous. I called in a refill at 10:30am yesterday. Pharmacy staff said it couldn’t be ready until after 4pm due to 4 day back up on prescriptions. There was a 15 person deep line for pick up at 6pm. After waiting 20 minutes in line - the prescription wasn’t ready. And still not ready at closing of 9pm.

Okay, so I sat over 20 minutes on hold waiting on the phone. Hung up, frustrated. I called back and instead of asking to talk to the pharmacist, I said that I was from the doctor's office. Thirty seconds later, I was put through to a pharmacist. I hate to abuse it like that but when I sat there for over 20 minutes for a question on my insurance that literally answered and over with in 2 minutes after I started talking to the pharmacist - this is just an enormous waste of time. Just please pick up the phone!

I called for weeks to fill a prescription and continuously got hung up on or on hold for hours. Called the actual store to be put in touch with the pharmacy, the store manager transferred me and was going to walk over there and connect me… still didn’t happen. The time and money it has cost me to get all new prescriptions since I can’t get ahold of them is ridiculous. NEGLIGENT is all I have to say. God forbid I needed to get my heart/BP or diabetes meds filled. If there was any communication I would not have cared and would have waited however long but I never even got to talk to somebody in the pharmacy. Not once. Seeing as how this is a small town and we don’t have many pharmacy options I hope you get your business together. Cause this is ridiculous and negligent.

Had surgery, doctor prescribed pain killer to deal with the resulting pain. 3 days later still waiting for prescription to be filled. Message from CVS app says possible 2 more days. Pathic service.

Extremely awful service. They CONSISTENTLY miscount pills (today for example I recieved 28 instead of 30).I'm a foster child and my foster parents could get into serious legal trouble due to CVS's mismanagement and poor counting skills. Every single time that they miscount our meds we have to report it to social services, and there is a massive backlog of notes about recieving too many or too little. When I called the pharmacy to tell them that I was missing pills they didn't even ask for my name or what medicine I was missing, they simply said to come get more pills. Nobody should have to waste time counting their pills to make sure the pharmacy got it right. They waste my time and gas forcing me to drive back and get the remainder of my medicine. Save your own time and money. Find literally any other pharmacy to use.To emphasize again, they have miscounted all of my family's medicine multiple times (for over a year). We try calling the store and tell them directly, we try calling corporate, but nothing we try to do fixes this situation.

Service is slow, prescriptions are not filled in a timely manner and no one answers the phone. Day 4 waiting on prescription was told they are a week behind and Pharmacy was closed yesterday.

Is there a way an option can be added to the app so the pharmacy can be notified that we would wait in line to tell them that we are here to pick up and we will wait 30-45 mins to get the order processed? You have to wait in line to tell them that your here just so they can fill it because their behind. I get it- short staffed or whatever, but it would be better to not have to wait in line just be told it will be another 30-45 to fill the order.

I'm not one for reviews, but this store needs some serious upgrades, not just for the customers sake, but for the staff. Every time I go there, something is wrong. I specifically go there because another pharmacy nearby could not get the medical supplies I needed. Pharmacy staff could be a bit more polite and considerate when talking amongst themselves. Last month I went to pick up an Rx, and their computers were down and they didn't know for how long. Went there a couple days ago, and now their drive thru system isn't working. As a customer, it's frustrating, and I bet their employees are feeling it too.
