Worst experience ever!They treated my dog like a step child,Cinderella! Now he’s traumatized hasn’t eaten in a week & felt the meds they gave him way longer than expected. He’s not the same after that visit. Losers never win so they will get what’s coming to them. Karma

Good vet and nice folks. I trust them with my pets. My low rating is due to availability. They are great for routine, scheduled months in advance, shots and checkups but for issues that arise or timely matters they have not been able to help me the last three times I tried. Again, I actually like going here but they aren't able to help when I need it the most. I assume its a staffing issue but I don't know. This is not a recent issue but has been one for some time. I really would like for this to be my go-to since they are so close to me.

We had to let our Lab go, it was time. Ladysmith Vet was incredibly polite and accommodating. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our good girl. 5/5 stars because I can't give 10. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

They are so caring & loving with my furbabies and one of the few in the area that have gone back to IN PERSON visits.❤️❤️ this creates so much LESS STRESS on my babies....plus they seem to be a bit less expensive than others in Fred'bg & Spotsy! I highly recommend

I have taken my two rescued Beagles to Ladysmith Vet since we adopted them. They are amazingly gentle and caring. My questions are always answered. If I call in with a question or concern I always get a return call either from our Vet or via the Tech after she has gotten the answer from the Vet.

All of the staff were wonderful! I had to take my 3 month old son with me during our cats visit. The ladies there were so helpful and very understanding. They offered to help take the cat back to the room and were so friendly. Dr.Carmine was just the same and so sweet! Will certainly continue to use them!

We needed a new vet and glad that we found them. Communication is great and prices are reasonable. Even when we found out our baby had a terminal illness, they called reguarly to check on us and her and if we needed anything. They helped us develop a care plan and could not have been more helpful when it was time to cross the rainbow bridge.

I have to drive 1.5 hours to see these people. I find there is a level of caring and compassion that goes beyond what I have experienced elsewhere. When most would make needless appointments and gouge at every opportunity, these people do the exact oposite while providing excellent care and service.

Just had our first visit here, and it was such a great feeling to get my baby boy looked at and not feel like I’m being judged by the staff. Things are tough and tight and I appreciated the concern they showed as we discussed options that wouldn’t terribly break the bank. I appreciate everyone I met, and I believe Heimdall was pleased as well!

Every appointment I’ve had here, except for the most recent, I get a call to be rescheduled for a later date. It takes weeks to get in for an appointment if you do get one. This hospital is over capacity and is refusing to expand or decline new animals. My most recent appointment was flat out cancelled and we were refused service. My elder dog was to be seen for old dog stuff, but the day of we called in about K9 cough for our severely sick second dog. They told us they were cancelling our appointment for elder dog because K9 cough is infectious. I don’t understand refusing an animal because they’re sick, and still naming yourself ‘veterinary hospital’.

We brought my cat in and they were so nice. We found out he had aggressive cancer and ended up putting him down. The staff was extremely understanding. We even got a card from them expressing their condolences. This wasn't our usual vet, but it will become our normal vet. Highly recommend

I’ve had 2 pleasant experiences at this vet office with my dog Sophie. First was for shots that went very smooth and second was for dental surgery where she had to be put under and have 13 teeth removed. They provided great service and pricing and thoroughly walked me thru her aftercare as I was a bit nervous about her pain and eating situation. Surgery went great and healing/aftercare went even better than expected. Staff treated both me and my dog great. Definitely recommend.

I've been taking my dogs here for 10 years now for shots and checkups. This is the best veterinary hospital I've been to. Everyone is friendly and so good with my dogs. The techs can even clip their nails, something my pooches would never let me do at home!

Dr. Carmine and the entire staff at Ladysmith Veterinary Hospital were wonderful to both my furbaby Mackee and me. Their level of knowledge and professionalism was exceptional and they all went above and beyond to ensure that I understood what needed to be done to follow up with care for Mackee’s severe ear infection. Gratefully, he is much better now and back to his normal playful and energetic self. I appreciate all the care from the doctor and the staff and would highly recommend their services!

My fiancé brought our dog here when she was constantly throwing up for days on end. At first we thought it would pass over, but after 4 days it was still going on. Fortunately this clinic was able to determine the issue and get her on medications - which was great. My only minor gripe is that it doesn't appear they keep up with cleanliness in the facility very often.

So friendly and very reasonable. I took my dachshund in for a limp and Dr Shockey was incredibly gentle and thorough. He was very realistic with his recommendations, did not push anything unnecessary, and in general talked to me in layman's terms. The other associate I met was Cathy, and she was just fabulous! She was warm and friendly, talked to and snuggled my dog like they'd known each other for years, and even showed me pictures of her grandpup. And neither nurse nor doctor made me feel bad about the nervous poo my dog gifted them with.Seriously, I dont know how we all survived that smell 😂

They told me i should give my dog away and this wasnt the right dog for me. For them to be vets, they should be more encouraging than what they are. My dog was in a new environment and afraid. They traumatized my dog by holding her down, putting the muzzle on so tight she bit her tongue was bleeding. They also put a leash on her, the more she pulled, the tighter it got. Not cool :/

Love Ladysmith Veterinary Hospital. Have been taking my pets there for over 17 years and always caring service. They do change doctors and staff alot but the new doctors such as Dr Carmine are wonderful.

Called about a potential emergency with my dog. They didn’t even try to fit him in. Just said no appointments available until tomorrow regardless. Didn’t bother to let me talk to a vet etc either. Montpelier veterinary hospital fit him in though within the hour. Moved things around and had someone call me.I do not recommend this vet.

Brought my 14 y.o. cat in here for some very necessary checkups. The doctor was fantastic with him and with his labwork. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable from start to finish. I'm so happy to have found somewhere awesome for my pets! A very pleasant change from my experience with Dr. Foster at Ferry Farm.

Every time I come here the staff is working hard on doing their best for the pets and animals of this community. They are down to earth, friendly, compassionate - they are what you would want when your pet is ill or hurt. They don't over charge and they don't talk down to you.
