Cashier is coughing several times during conversation and not covering her mouth. Smoker? They don't think they have to cover their mouth because they know it's from cigarettes. Coughing while ringing up our items. Employees need to be taught how far spot particles fly when coughing. Mask was around her neck.

It's good stuff cheap. Sometimes you get amazing things sometimes you get not so amazing. It's fun all in the same. The books are great too.

Here you have to pick and choose as all items are not cheaper than say the Dollar Tree. We did find some good deals on some items we needed but you really have to check the expiration date on consumables!

I guess my EXPECTATIONS didn't match my experience . I'm just rating MY experience, personally. The inventory and prices just didn't WOW me on my 1st trip there. The staff was AWESOME.

It's what you'd expect from any discount, second-run retailer: merchandise that a major retailer offloaded because they moved on to The Next Thing, or it didn't sell because it was unwanted, overstocked, irregular, off-brand, etc. , or maybe the retailer, distributor, or wholesaler shut down and offloaded all their stock on-hand.Ollie's has a reliable base stock of last year's books and toys, cheap (in both senses of the word) furniture, clothes, hardware, and gadgets; hygiene products, pet supplies, boxed food, carpet, and candy, plus a rotating stock of discount seasonal items and one-time buys. If I see something that interest me I usually grab it now and return it later if I really don't want it, because when they say "When it's gone, it's gone" they really mean it! Also be sure to join their membership program and then wait to stock up on regular items when they send their (quarterly?) "members only" 15% off coupons.

I stopped for some runners and was not disappointed. Found these three runners and snatched them up. Shelves are stocked as personnel have been working really hard to get caught up. Shop here often and find a treasure even when it was not on my list. Bought curtain rods several weeks ago for a steal compared to another local retailer.

This place is fantastic! I'm from up north and we have something called Ocean State Job lot. Ollie's is super similar and different in its own way. I love the bargain finds and all the different things you can find at a really good price. Always exciting to see what else they carry. Hopefully they will get more and more name brands with food product. We visited a couple of days ago at nearly closing time in search of an area rug. We had an impressive young man named Michael help us find one. He gave us his undivided attention and was very patient with us even though it was almost time to close. He took such good care showing us whatever we wanted to see. He has such a humble and positive attitude! He even gave our ten year old son life advice to help him! This Ollie’s location has an amazing employee and we hope they take good care of him because it’s hard to find employees who care and take pride in helping others and being a blessing. God bless you Michael for being such an inspiration to our son!

Gotta love Ollie's.. you never know what you are going to find. My last trip I bought Carmel popcorn., That is.. it's a lot of Stuff to digest.. but fun nevertheless. Good staff, good prices and a lot of fun..

Grand opening Wednesday 9/26 new store in Roanoke in the old Toys R Us building at Valley View. Bigger and a lot nicer than the other store. Lots of nice items at great prices. Among other things....I got some John Frieda shampoo for $2.99! love it! Nice selection of rugs and runners. I'll be back another day to look at those.

I just truly appreciate it when the employees go out of their way to say "hello" and ask if you have found everything. I can not speak from experience regarding this store besides today bc I do not visit here often enough, but when this happens in stores I feel as if I've stepped back in time like to the "50's". When class, respect, and job knowledge still existed, Way better than folks younger and more mature are either whispering to each other while desperately refusing to make eye contact or just digging through their smart phone as though they just solved the hieroglyphics in the deepest cave ever explored that has just answered the most important question ever pondered by Man. "Why are we here"? Anyways. Thanks ,Ollies. You're Awesommmme

I was shopping with my two daughters. 3 and 1 years old. I had my hands full. With the 1 year old in my arms and the three year old holding my other hand. One of your clueless employees. Thought it was okay to reach out and touch the one year old!I don't know this creep. Never met him. He doesn't know my kids. SHOULD NOT BE TOUCHING OTHER PEOPLE CHILDREN!Educate your employees on what's appropriate!

Nice place. Clean and organized. They have some.name brand stuff like pantiene shampoo for example. Also have some very odd thi kn ge you can buy like Chia pets. The associates are helpful and handicap accessible. They have a public bathroom with free coffee. They have everything from clothes, bathroom stuff, toys, books and household items and much more.

Gayle, our cashier this afternoon was great! Shared some history and stats of the Virginia Ollie's. Also very personable, not ur usual scan, scan, scan and ask how u are going to pay, hits the button and tears receipt and you are on your way. Wonderful interaction with us. Great employee- gotta keep her!
