Use to love coming here, so different than other thrift shops. Not anymore, it is very cluttered hard to find things, aisle are so small two people can't walk down the aisle. It's like they are closing the 460 store and bringing everything here. The furniture has 4-5 hundred dollar price tags on them and not that nice of furniture for that price. I'm hoping it will tidy up like the old store, miss those days

Great thrift shop for people who hate disorganized and crowded thrift stores. Everything was in place. Of course, I went in almost as soon as they opened. I didn't go to the gallery.Nice selection of women clothes. I didn't look at anything for kids or men. But I think they have those sections. Can't remember.Only disappointment was I couldn't find coats. I saw a few jackets. Either the coats were in a section I didn't see or they sell out quickly.Nice, small thrift store. No furniture or books.

Nice upscale thrift store and furniture store /art gallery on Williamson Road near Sheetz gas station and Civic Center run by the Rescue Mission (open 10a-5p). The attached Cafe serves good food- soup salad and sandwiches 10a-3p Mon-Sat. Yum.

I ranked this store at a 5 because the customer service is amazing. The store is not cluttered. The prices are a bit higher than your normal 2nd hand store. I did find some good buys and if you're looking for high-end 2nd hand items or even new items with tags this is the store for you. But be ready to spend some money.

Really nice name brand items that continue to get marked down until sell. Can't wait to go back, located on Williamson Rd beside Social Services

Phoned in an order and waited 10 min or so before going down to get it. I approached the p/u area and was told to get in line to get my phoned in order. Waited in line with 17 other people as my food just sat there in plain eye view. Sandra was patiently ringing everyone up all by herself. When my friend and I finally get to the register with Sandra-the same worker who told me to wait in line for my phone order opens her register to take a customer she had been chit chatting with. I find that unacceptable after the rest of us had been waiting for so long. Thank you Sandra for warming my potato up & for always providing great customer service under pressure!

UPDATED: WARNING!!! The woman who used to manage the 460 Thrift is now at this location and she's just as snarky and not people oriented as she was at 460. AND THE PRICING HAS GONE WAY OVER THE EDGE. EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. IS INDIVIDUALLY PRICED!!! My sister and I figured on one trip that a SET of dishes would cost over $1,000 to buy the set at the individual price! Who would break up a set and buy just a cup or just a saucer, etc.? Used to go regularly on my lunch break. Now they're lucky to see me every other month. Disappointed they brought snark shark in. One star because proceeds benefit the needy. That's it. But they're not getting my proceeds.

Probably my favorite thrift store in Roanoke. They always have amazing finds at great prices. Make sure you check out the gallery as well. Amazing unique items from many local artists. The store benefits the Roanoke Mission homeless shelter and as someone who used to be homeless myself in Las Vegas, this cause is near and dear to my heart.

Amazing thrift store!! I never leave empty handed. The prices are great and the color coded labels signify what percent off each item will be at checkout. They keep their items circulating, so there is always new inventory. Well organized store and it supports a great cause.

What a delightful place to browse, eat, & shop. They have excellent homemade soups & sandwiches. I especially enjoyed the butternut squash soup & Reuben sandwich. They have different soups available each day. Their art gallery is impressive with some top-notched art work & pottery. I enjoyed browsing in the whatnot shop. Prices are unbelievably low for the quality of the merchandise. Fun place!

If you haven't been there yet you are missing one of the best places in Roanoke! The thrift shop is amazing. The prices are unbelievable. The quality of the merchandise is top notch. And while you are there you have to go over to the cafe. Great selection of soups, sandwiches and desserts. I really can not say enough wonderful things about 2nd Helping. And the money goes to help those in need. Win Win situation!

Had a wonderful time here. Food is tasty and prepared quickly. The shop is awesome and my friends and I got some lovely items. Not as cheap as the goodwill, but still good prices. Plus it is for a worthwhile cause. Highly recommend a visit.

I love this little restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The food is prepared in front of you. And can't go wrong with anything you choose here. Definitely try their homemade cheeseslaw and the desserts are amazing too. I'd give it more star's if I could. Enjoy!

Love this place. The sandwiches, salads and the soups are delicious. They are tastefully done with care. They taste and look like there were made in your own home kitchen. It always a real treat to eat there with good friends. Two days ago I had the Mission Melt on whole wheat bread. I ate just a half of my opened face sandwich because I was satisfying full. I reheated it the next mornings for breakfast. Today I want to to go back and get it again.I recond the Second Helpings to everyone and would relish going there with everyone too.

Beautiful art work and jewelry by local artists. Also it's an upscale Rescue Mission with donations from local stores with new and used items. I love to browse through periodically. You never know what you might find. Lots of very expensive name brand stuff.

Absolutely the best place I have ever eaten for lunch. Tuesdays is the best day to eat lunch here. The have a huge baked potato special for $4.99 that is filling, allows you to have 3 toppings in the potato, and had a great flavoring on the outside that makes your taste buds scream yummmm.

Kickin chicken soup was just the right amount of spice and paired well with the corn bread. Others in the party loved their generous salad, grilled cheese and chicken wrap! Topped off the meal with a gourmet cookie! Great place! Friendly staff! Don't miss it!
