I was told this place needed help bad real bad I go to apply I’m asked to put in my application I do so first time it’s the wrong one I do it again twice to ensure the position I applied for goes through I get a call today surprise not only the spot I applied for I was denied I’m also gonna get paid a dollar less because I was offered a lower position I was turned down for what I applied for and also have to put my application in again…..they don’t seem like they really need help they have all the time in the word to wait an deny but they need help? What a terrible decision made I work like hell an work circles around most people who spend their time on their phone at work I can’t describe how disappointed I am I need work they need help why hold that up but apparently they don’t need help that bad so I guess another application more waiting at this point feeling like I’m not good enough as always I don’t even want the job but I need it oh joy some kid got the spot I wanted before me because they acted like a bubbly psychopath in their interview greeeeat I read reviews about poor customer service having to yell for help if it’s that short why was I turned down and it’s part time to barely even worth it how many times does one gotta put in a application this is insane

Easy to find and has the usual stuff like food, pet supplies, bath and shower supplies. Household items like Tupperware, stuff for your car like air fresheners. Ut us handicap accessible and the staff was helpful and fast.

I used to go to this store a couple times a week. Ever since the new manager arrive the store is awful. In the last two weeks I have stopped three times and they are closed. Today they were closed on a Saturday evening, which you would think would be a busy time. What good is the store if they are not going to be open when they say they are supposed to be. There have been times when they were open and there was no one at the register to check customers out. One of us would have to yell for someone that works there to come and check out the customers. I don't know whats going on there but something needs to change or I will stop shopping there.

I’m not giving the store a one because of the employees, but because of the manager!!! She’s the one That needs customer service training but I’d be more than happy to do it. I feel so bad for her employees. Even though they’re dealing with her they’re always nice and apologetic. She will close the register and sit in her office if she’s alone and make customers use the self check out. And if you need cigarettes and say anything to her she tells you to come back in 15 to 20 minutes when she’s finished with her paperwork. She closes the store all the time Or leaves one person there to run the register and stock the shelves.I ran into a customer at the Dollar General in Christiansburg market. And they live right next to the Dollar General in Riner and won’t go in there because of the manager. I know you only get so much labor per sales. But there’s no one in management upper management not noticing this!! I have to stop there some time out of necessity on the way home. I wanna give a big shout out to her employees that have stayed there!I don’t wanna call anyone out for fear of repercussions from the manager if I compliment him by name. That’s how bad it is!

I took 10 dollars in quarters in the manager wouldn't take it she said she weighed it and it was8 dollars and 50 cents I counted it twice it was right she embarrass me in front of a person in the store for no reason my accounting was right she told me to take me to Bank like I was lying to her and trying to take from the store I will not back to that store I was only trying to bring change in to help the store I'd heard they needed change I won't do it again

I have been a regular shopper at the Riner, VA store since it opened and today I recieved the best customer service. The store is under new management and is looking great and has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone for all their shopping needs.

One of the nicest Dollar General stores I have been in. Organized, clean, and well managed. Great inventory from freezer goods to pet supplies, spray paint, office supplies, and just about anything you need at a great price. Very nice employees above average in this store.

I just came by there during the day it is 2 PM and they were closed IKI came by there about a week ago at 8 PM and they were closed in too we're closed in too now Google maps says that your hours of operation do not qualify you to be closing at 2 PM and at 8 PM Google says that you are open later than that so now due to the fact that people obviously want to be lazy and not do their job You have lost a customer permanently because 2 times in a row I have come there during normal business hours and you are closed not like you're supposed to be so you've lost a customer I will never be back

So, firstly I use to love going into this dollar general!! Not only because it was on my way home from blacksburg to Floyd and the only thing that way really, but because it use to be so nice and clean. Now, I try to avoid it at all costs and only go if I can't go somewhere else. It was recently remodeled and loved how nice and clean and organized it was after the remodel. The last few times I have had to go in there I have been disgusted. They have had alot of turnover staff wise. They also have so much stock sitting everywhere around the building it makes it hard to see where something is or even just shop. On my last visit they actually had the frozen food stuff with boxes in the freezers, so you literally had to unbox what you wanted and hoped you found what you were looking for. There were multiple isles you can't even go down because there's so much stock sitting everywhere. This literally use to be somewhere I'd stop at multiple times a week. Now, I don't even want to stop once a week I'd rather drive somewhere else. They need help and they need to realize how bad that is making this store look especially after a remodel.

The location for us is nice as we pass there on every trip to Christiansburg and often stop for various supplies. They have be very helpful in other ways as well when some of the items are on sale to let us know. We sometimes buy in bulk for mission work and this has be a real help.

What can you say to Dollar General. You can get the stuff that you normally get a Dollar General and they tend to have a little more produce than some of the others. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. The parking lot is acceptable, it's not bad but it's not great. It's close to a gas station and the Post Office in Riner, VA.I hope this review helps people in the future.

So I just called to ask hours of operation. I was told 8am-10pm. So then why have they been closed at odd hours of the day, on multiple occasions...? Closed at 11am, 2pm, 6pm,8pm, 9pm...etc.. I think someone wants to get paid and not work. Lazy and thieves. I'll be contacting your corporate office and letting them know.

All the charcoal has been wet that they are selling outside. You can tell by looking at all the wrappers. Also, they lied, saying their bathrooms are broken.

came here and got racially profiled and was discriminated against yelled at and told to put the stuff back that I didn't even steal all because I was dressed in my pajama's. It was a skinny white woman with dark hair who said this to me.

Love Dollar General in Riner, VA. Great, great store and good prices. Employees are so friendly and helpful. I shop there 3 or more times a week. Would recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful selection and clean store...just mins down the road in the country. First dollar general I'd shopped in...will ne coming back for more as they have just about all home needs at very reasonable and comparable prices.

Every Dollar General I've been in is so unorganized and has their isles and crowded up with boxes and what not but the one in Riner you don't see that! They are definitely the most organized Dollar General around.
