A very nice store with plenty of options for organizing just about anything. You can certainly find a lot of these products or very similar products for much lower cost at other retailers. The advantage to The Container Store is that everything you need is in one place with very knowledgeable sales associates to help you achieve your organizational goals. The container store isn't about containers it's about getting your space organized and keeping it organized.

First time in one of these. First impression is that there was no greeting. Secondly, stock is very low. Limited choices and prices are on the high side. Was not ever spoken to for the 10 minutes I was in the store.

Lots of containers here. So many containers. You can store so much stuff in all these containers. If you want to store your stuff in things, this is the place to go. They have so many things to store your stuff in. They actually have a lot of great kitchen stuff also. If you’re trying to convince your wife or girlfriend or mistress to go here, let her know that it’s more than just containers but it’s mostly just containers.

First time here in VA! I had no idea they did closets, and although they didn't have any designers available late Sunday afternoon, one of the floor workers was extremely helpful in providing information for virtual design and support. They also offer 2 yrs interest free for closets. It's worth checking out since literally every other closet store is closed on Sundays or only open 9 to 5 during the week.

Aside from the young lady following my family and I around the store, sticking close by pretending to clean something about 3 or 4 times, and quite frankly never being far away from us while not offering any sort of help, is was an ok experience. The older lady who signed me up for the rewards program was very kind. She interacted with my children while I signed up and was just over all very very nice. We love 1.5 hours away and she really made the drive worth it. Sadly I don’t remember her name. Iffy on if I’ll return or just stick to online shopping.

I was extremely excited as entering with a plan in place , found all the items in my inspiration picture, paid and happily exited. A few days later I get notification of a sale so as an avid shopper I plan for a return to take advantage of the sale. I checked to see if there was a price adjustment policy and as stated on their website there is. I read the terms and go and behold I qualified for a a price adjustment. I went into the store and grabbed a few more items and let the cashier know I also needed to get a price adjustment, she proceeds to say she’s not familiar with that policy and I tell her the guidelines and let her know the terms are listed on their website. She says she needs to call her manager so I kindly let her know I’ll stand to the side so she can help another customer as I wait. The manager comes and tells me I need to get back in line and proceeds to help the next 4 to 5 customers. Please adequately provide your staff with training on how to handle price adjustments and the how to’s on store policies. I would have expected a little better from management as well. Suggestion: Pull your customer needing assistance to a different register and assist them, allow for your other cashiers to help with the line of customers.

Absolutely love this lifestyle store! I’m ALL about organizing, so finding one of these stores is like finding a rare gem☺️. Staff was great and was covid conscious. This location didn’t have a travel section unfortunately. The store stocked a huge closet section, don’t get lost!Had one question and the employee did amazing finding what I was looking for.

By far my favorite store on the planet. The shelves are always neat. It’s pretty well organized especially with like item together. It’s not as big as the store in Northern Virginia but they have pretty much anything you need. The staff is lovely and seems to really enjoy being there. They also sell Blueland refills if you just need to pick up one or two refills and don’t want to do a big online order.

Went in today to check the place out. It was very busy probably because it’s still so new.Shelves were kind of bare in most of the store. Again, they just opened so maybe that’s why.Associates were aplenty and some were moving items from full shelves to emptier ones, but most were just standing around chatting amongst themselves.For a store so big, the aisles are very narrow. There was no way for 2 people to have carts going in opposite directions of the aisles. One had to go all the way back until the other left the aisle. This is poorPlanning on their part and left several customers visibly aggravated and it was expressed verbally as well.The majority of the store was the same items on most shelves and 2 large sections of the store was for custom shelving and custom closets.The store is not cheap, but anyone who knows of this store would know that. What I was surprised to find were exact items my local Dollar Tree carries. Why would I pay $8.99 for a little box when I can get it for $1?I think for specialty items this may be a good place to go. However, aside from that I probably will not be making another trip there. I want to have a cart walking down an aisle and see products I can’t get at Target cheaper.I did buy some nice dry erase markers and a lazy Susan. My cashier was incredibly friendly.

I've been excitedly waiting for a Container Store to open in the Richmond area!The store was well-stacked and well-organized. I had a few employees approach, but most left me alone, which is great! I enjoyed being left alone to wander the store and get an idea for what product they had.

It was really busy in the store on the day I was shopping. An upper management person helped me on the floor. The checkout line was long but was quick. The cashiers were very friendly and fast. I will return in the near future to look around more.

First time here, few staff came to greet me which was nice, another staff asked if I was looking for anything in particular, I was not. The plethora of storage options to choose from is a dream for someone who wants to stay organized!

I didn't think this yuppie haven was my kind of store until I met Maureen there. After others said there wasn't anything to hold my numerous remote control devices for cable, television, sound bar, etc. Maureen came to the rescue finding me alternative aesthetically pleasing, affordable, containers with dividers to hold different size remotes. If you want the best advice and someone willing to "go look in back" for stock I urge you to seek out Maureen. She's a Container Maven.

Very clean but shelves were bare and customer service was lacking. Friday evening and only had 2 registers open. Managers were just standing around taking notes instead of jumping in to get the customers checked out. Check out is also crazy as there are registers on 2 different aisles but it does not direct you to the fact that you actually have to go down a specific aisle to get in the checkout line . They have a lot of work to do still. Even with this, I will be back

the cashiers are so friendly and nice and the salespeople are so helpful. it’s so nice to see a container store in richmond, and it’s crazy how busy they’ve been!! i’ve been in a few separate times and the lines are long but the cashiers always give discounts if that happens and they move pretty fast. it’s pricey but a good experience overall i think

Glory be, what a joy!! As a Manhattanite a decade ago, one of the great retail tragedies is when Container Store closed its doors... Well, hello, my darling, and welcome to Short Pump! I'm a new resident of the Richmond metro and was tripping over myself when I discovered the chain still exists... First of all, Short Pump is retail HEAVEN, as Town Center continues to expand on and on and on and bring the best contemporary retail chains to RVA...The joint is packed with high-end closet design options, but so much more... solutions for every room of the home... things you never knew you needed! Prices cover the spectrum, from oh so reasonable to middling to goods made to last in the "you get what you pay for" column.Great fun!

Prices on the higher side and be aware that you need the receipt for returns (or sign up for their loyalty program) - customer service would not run card to look up the purchase - very disappointing! (Should be a standard this days that they can run the card to look-up purchase)

A strictly okay store with mostly low quality stuff thats overpriced. Some items are even packaged in Chinese.A small selection of higher quality items can be found but honestly anything you find here can be found on ebay or walmart or target or amazon for far less.In store help is non existent but their custom closet section is quite a bit better.The closet prices are higher than closet factory or Ikea while being roughly of the same or lower quality (except their top end floor based closets).A useful store to have but hard to justify most items sold here at the price they are at

I haven’t even stepped foot in this store and I know it’s all that and a bag of chips. When I watched The Home Edit on Netflix I knew that I could not create the rainbow organization format without the Container Store. And when I found out one was opening in my area, I died a million deaths and was raised from the dead by my friends in organization. I will always believe in the Container Store and give it 5 stars. And whoever thought these store hours were bank hours, who’s bank opens at 10am and closes at 7pm?! Thank you.
