This Kroger at 11895 W. Broad Street has a lot to offer. The store is huge and likely offers almost every type of food and beverage most of us would ever eat. Today there was even a wine or beer tasting happening in the wine department! It looked like a little bar within a grocery store. Thankfully, I found all the health food items I needed in other departments. Two different staff people were very helpful during my visit here. I would highly recommend this Kroger location!

Not going to give you a 1 star because I feel like this is incompetence from higher up. If your employee is going to get upset with me for ringing MYSELF up twice to get your sale twice and then while I’m still there complain about me to your customer service clerk who joins in, maybe CHANGE how your sale/system works. It’s always been by transaction. Change the wording of your sale and make it so my number doesn’t work multiple times.Otherwise inform your employees that doing multiple transactions is ok so we the customers don’t catch an attitude.Sincerely, a long time client

Amazing place to shop at in person while their online pick up absolutely sucks in the experiences I have had. Never picked on time and if your order is ready theres a good chance they’re still picking it.

I ordered online for pick up and I received a few items to close to being outdated like bread and my milk like one day it would be not good. The young pickers need to look at the dates on products before they put them in bag for delivery or pick up we as customer will not know until we are home and unpacking items.. also when I was sick and could not get out ordered Kroger online and instacart delivery and the food items were old no name brands and alot of substitutes was missing three items as well it was horrible experience called the delivery did not come as scheduled it was four hours later . I called and they could not even locate my order..I will NOT be ordering that way again so this time picked up and if you ready first part of this review you will see that it seems to get what you want you have to be inconvenience and go into the store .. unfortunately..

I am a long term fan of Kroger & Harris Teeter and feeling very bad with this particular store.1. Expired stuff on selves.2. Rude management (Specially Bob & one more arrogant lady).They always try to give you merchant credit for return with misbehaving attitude.3. Always short of stuff on online orders and kill your coupon.4. Short of common stuff like organic milk, cucumber, tofu, etc.

Wonderful customer service in Deli! I highly recommend the no salt added turkey and the low sodium provolone switching to this has helped me with my blood pressure levels cutting out the sodium where i can.

I think the flagship of Kroger Marketplace set the standard years ago for how a store should be run. This is not a Kroger Marketplace. Here is what you will experience at Kroger Short Pump...First, The Bad --* Lines. Long lines. At busy times of the day. You will become proficient at self-checkout. In fact this is preferred, since most of the front end folks are either stressed, or are just plain defeated. Not sure why this location is not using scheduling software, or hiring properly.* Awful (DING!!) hourly announcements that cut through your thoughts like a knife, intended to virtue signal, 'Look how fresh and friendly we are!!' This merely serves to make it look like the associates are patently irresponsible, or have severe memory problems. It's cute when this system malfunctions, because the voice will not shut up about it.* Trouble with simple things, like putting s'mores materials near.... let's say, the marshmallows? Maybe... clothespins near... the laundry detergent? Bagels near... the salmon? No... I have to hunt all of this down like some clueless muppet, whereas other stores in the area just get this simple idea.* Display items are labelled because -- STOP REMOVING THE DISPLAY ITEMS, YOU NAUGHTY CUSTOMERS. See pic. This made my day. The cantaloupes also smelled like vomit that day.* The dude that just grunts at you no matter what you say to him. Yeah... you know who you are.-- Now, The Good --* Huge containers of basil. Fantastic.* Service desk folks are always great.* Always stocked with Beast Burgers. And they taste terrible, you should never, ever eat these (lie). Seriously, leave them for me, I'll deal with them.* Cashiers are quick on the draw with stickers for my kids. Except that guy, Mr. Grumpem Grumps.* Drawing a blank on more positives... really not a memorable store in any way. I guess... it's clean most of the time.So... go here for the location convenience... stay because of the long lines.Happy shopping, and remember, the associates need reminders... apparently. Be gentle on them. :)

I shop at this Kroger because of the fuel points, but it's getting to the point that it's not even worth it. They either have expired stuff on the shelves or they are out of simple items that I then have to go to another store to purchase. I honestly don't see this place being in business much longer.

I am a Shipt delivery driver and EVERY SINGLE ORDER I’ve tried to pick up from this store hasn’t been ready. It doesn’t matter if I’m early or late. This is a very big inconvenience because Shipt penalizes driver for the store lack of professionalism and lack of employees in the pickup department. I have complained to the store and Shipt because it’s ridiculous at this point. If you want to pickup groceries ON TIME. Try the other Kroger locations because this one sucks.

Nice store but assistance at check out is awful. One older woman with short white hair is absolutely surly. I had stopped shopping there for that reason, popped in for a couple things because I was in that part of town, but will never go back since service has not improved.

Buyers beware: DO NOT USE ONLINE PICKUP!! I'm only giving 1 star because there's not an option to review with zero stars. Just experienced some of the worst customer service ever with the online pickup service at Kroger Short Pump (11895 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23233). Their Pickup department is so poorly staffed and/or incompetent that it took 2 trips to the store to receive my order and that only happened after their customer service tracked down the manager (Craig) to finally hand over my order. I truly don't understand why a manager couldn't have done that the first time I showed up, but I could have overlooked that had Craig not been the least empathetic person I've ever met. He actually told me the whole issue was my fault because I showed up "right before closing", when in fact I arrived at 8:35pm, for an order with a pickup window of 8-9pm. This is one of the lousiest "convenience" services I've ever experienced and I certainly won't be using it again and if you don't want to lose more customers I'd suggest you figure out how to staff your stores properly, get yourselves organized, and hire people who at least act like they care about your customers.

If I can get zero stars I could. The first time ordering here for pick up I waited 25 to 30 minutes before receiving my groceries. Only to get home to find out that they were items missing. I called and was told that the items that were missing could not be refunded to my card. I returned the next day to picked up the missing items but they were not gather, so still having to wait another 20 minutes and still no service I decided to leave and I contacted customer service. I was instantly refunded the missing. Today I placed another pick up order to pick up between the hours of three and four. I later received a text message stating that my items will not be ready until 6 PM. I do understand the lack of the lack of employees. But that is not my fault as a paying customer. I learned that this store also charges for grocery bags. Not to mention that this store is located in one of Richmond’s/short pumps most elevated neighborhoods and to receive such service is a disgrace. I really hope they get it together.

Went there at 10:20pm when they close at 11pm and the automatic doors would not open to let me in. Thought they were closed, but no, hours said open until 11pm. A functioning door is an important way to stay in business.

I wish there would have been a sign that you must purchase your bags. I looked and did not see a single one. I walked out. Not very communicative when you only tell people about it when they check out. I left an entire cart of groceries and went to Publix. I do not pay for plastic bags at Cary Street nor Willow Lawn Krogers. I do not mind paying, but be honest and tell people about it. Not a very transparent and honest way to conduct business.

The ice cream should be INSIDE the freezer not sitting in the aisle! No wonder the ice cream at Kroger seems like it’s been refrozen. A Kroger associate was nowhere near it. Who knows how long it’s been sitting there.

Food Lion has surpassed Kroger in availability of items across the store, customer service, and quality of products and Price. Bad experience. The isles have half empty shelves and poorly stocked, many essential items are missing. Have to pay for torn paper bags.

I came in the store at 9:20 this morning and I bought two pineapples and a tree for 2499 and I had coupons that gave me a discount so I only paid 1874 for the tree.After taking my tree in my pineapples outside, going to my car, some lady that works at the store came outside and yelled at me to come back inside and said I did not pay for the tree. I. proceeded to go back inside with her. Show her the receipt and explain to her. I guess this is a rich ,racist, entitled people area. The store is beautiful and very well stocked. It's clean with a lot of different departments. I bought a cake and croissants and when I went to pay at a self checkout, I was met by the most rude employee I have ever encountered. I guess she didn't like the fact that I'm Puerto Rican and speak English with an accent. The other horrible experience was that I was not aware that you have to pay 10 cents for a plastic bag for your groceries. So when I was about to take a bag, I was screamed, mocked and laughed at by a cashier and the customers there. If you are Hispanic, black or non white, DON'T GO TO THIS STORE #11895, you will be treated like garbage.

Great place to get all your grocery needs. We love going to a Kroger whenever we are near one. We don't have any near us in Pennsylvania. We love their store brand products, especially their marinara sauce. We usually either buy 10 jars at a time when we get near a Kroger which isn't very often or my mom brings it back with her when she comes to visit from Indianapolis. Store was busy, but very clean and the staff that we dealt with were all friendly.
