Customer service has gone down hill. My cashier today was a smart mouth, lazy young man who refused to get a manager for me. I had to tell ti the service counter because it “wasn’t his job “. Also, bait and switch pricing is the norm at this one because the stickers are too lazy to make sure the prices are correct.

I was surprised that it wasn't crowded and they opened another register for customers to check out faster but they didn't have a big selection of desserts. I like this store, today I bought the large container of Folgers coffee for six dollars and they had a lot of reduced meats. I purchased a family pack of cubed steaks for 5 dollars. I returned to the same store and purchased more meats that were reduced and 12 packs of Pepsi products were buy 1 and get 1 free

The store staff is helpful generally, but today took it up a notch. I had the pleasure of watching Amber work with several customers, and she also helped me find items. Her enthusiasm and professionalism is a credit to her and to this store. I have not seen her before today, but having started out in a high service grocery store business and working for Keebler, I’s say that I’ve seen another person on a grocery floor more dedicated to customer service. Impressive.

A great starter run into if you just need a few items. It is a complete grocery store but I am a shopper that looks for a little more quality than they have it's not bad but it's just it's not like Publix or you crops used to be. But I still shop there because I do like every once in a while they have some really good bargain so it's definite must that I use that store from time to time.

People can say what they want to about food lion. But at the end of the day, they have food. Maybe not always what I'm looking for. But definitely enough. The one on forest hill always has pleasant staff. And the shelves are stocked. I also love their rewards program. Literally one of the best

The store always looks clean with a limited inventory. The deli is often closed at night and only carries Food Lion items -- no Boar's Head. The cashiers typically stand around talking to each other and look unkempt. There is NO management in this store. There is no one to ask for assistance. Employees loiter outside smoking -- in plain view of the store -- in uniform. If Food Lion wants to improve their image, then bring NEW management into this store and hire employees that want to work and give good customer service.

Bad customer service clerks and manager steve boyd. Avoud this store. Go elsewhere. They don't care about customers or people. Had to call 911 for older person that slipped and fell, hurt shoulder...they would not call 911. Also had billing issues and extremly rude customer service & manager .

I come to this Food lion from time to time and never had a bad experience, however this morning I went there to get my Western Union refund, which was previously done at the same store and employee at the customer service counter was not helpful at all and told me that : 1) they couldn’t do refunds at this time. When I asked why, I just got a weird look back and that lady just told me she didn’t know.2) she said her manager told her she cannot do refunds and customers have to contact WU about any issues. Mind you at that time I already contacted WU customer service to check how I’d go about getting a refund for the funds not picked by the receiving party and was advised I could go to any WU location with my tracking number and government issued ID, so clearly Food Lion employee either lied looking straight in my eyes, or was not trained properly. So I just left without even asking for the manager, as it seemed pointless, and will not return to this location. I went elsewhere and got help just as I was expecting to, without getting any dirty looks or excuses and “I don’t knows”

I would recommend highly for service and sales. I was referred by a friend when I had difficulty getting service appointments at other Ford dealerships. They scheduled me early, discussed my warranty, put my mind at ease, and my appointment didn't take all day. While there I spoke with a salesman named John who gave me realistic information about my plans for a future trade-in. I wish I went to them when I originally made my purchase!

Nobody looks forward to grocery shopping. While you won't find a lot of specialty iterms here, you will find the standard stuff. But here's the kicker that works for me: everyone there seems genuinely happy to be there working with each other. There's no attitude or fake enthusiasm for serving customers they don't even know. It's just a nice place with people trying to do the best they can without being forced to pretend they are doing more than they are. Maybe you could care less about that sort of thing but to me, it matters a bit so that's where I go.

This is a small Food Lion, but they generally have everything I need. The staff is exceptional. We used to have a Martin's/Ukrops in the neighborhood, so I was excited to see their follow up store open (the staff there is great too), but honestly, I can not afford to shop there. My weekly trip to Food Lion is about 25% less than the guys down the street. Give these guys a try, I think they are great. (I am sorry if it disappoints you that I didn't name the competition, but I work in retail and do not want to talk bad about anyone without a reason)

This Food Lion has really grown on me! The service is great, it’s always clean, and the prices are good. I wish the produce section was a little bigger and they don’t have harder to find items, but it’s the best for a quick grocery run. It’s way better than the publix down the road.

Food Lion only get 4 star based off of their employees. They have excellent customer service and is friendly. The only issue I have is no matter what Food Lion we go into....there is NEVER enough cashier to keep the lines down and the customers from wait 20 minutes to get cashed out!!!! Please fix this issue Food Lion...this is not only city wide but nation wide!!!

I love this store. It's always clean, has what I need (usually for a lower price), and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I don't understand why people think the bigger grocery stores are better!

Been going weekly since the upgrade. They never have 2 liter and 12 pack Diet 7-up, i told them every time I check out and they just laugh at me. 5 full carts in one line and the 2 Express lines empty. i was told place my items back in the cart because it was an Express line only so i went from an empty lien back to a line with 4 full carts in front of me. The cashier was then just standing doing nothing. They now have the fancy signs that have a switch to react to the customer cart mix... I spend $600 a month.

This is a smaller Food Lion but I can always find what I want for less than the local Kroger. The pork is first rate and you can usually catch a sale on butts or ribs or whatever you like. Staff is friendly too. I have pretty much moved my business from Kroger to Food Lion these days.

Food Lion has a good selection of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and dairy products. The store was updated a few years ago and is bright and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful.
