The employees are rude and not very smart. They can’t get my son’s much needed medication in stock, out since December, both the name brand and the generic brand, which can only be filled monthly because of its classification.Not enough employees and the ones working just don’t care anymore. Hi turn over rate which is not good for any company and I disagree with the other comment Blacksburg’s CVS’s are way better than Radford and Christiansburg’s store is better organized than Radford!

RUDE PHARMACIST! Can't find help to get checked out and management doesn't seem to care. They are sorry I felt a certain way when I called to complain about the rude pharmacist who wouldn't show me which vaccine I was getting. I'm just supposed to trust her word when it comes to what she's injecting in me? She had a problem showing me that before dispensing and administering. CVS YOUR POLICIES SUCK!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent clinic visit, prompted by my daughter's strep throat diagnosis and my own experience of similar symptoms. Unfortunately, my encounter with Nurse Practitioner Warren Via fell short of expectations.From the outset, his demeanor was unfriendly, and his bedside manner left much to be desired. Despite a negative initial throat swab result, I shared my past experience at the Christiansburg minute clinic, where a false negative was later corrected with a positive retest under similar circumstances.Disappointingly, my request for a retest was declined, with Mr. Via asserting the adequacy of the obtained sample. Dismissing visible throat patches and a fever, he insisted that a negative result meant I was not sick with strep. Instead of exploring alternatives or addressing my concerns, Mr. Via recommended drinking fluids and gargling salt water, advising a retest only if symptoms persisted.The inability to obtain a retest, coupled with the suggestion of a retest in a few days—resulting in two co-pays and considerable time investment—is disheartening.As someone with multiple experiences of strep throat, and considering my daughter's strep diagnosis, I am confident in my assessment. I believe a retest could have provided more accurate results, sparing me unnecessary discomfort.Regrettably, based on this experience, I have decided not to visit this minute clinic again and instead seek the care of an actual MD.

The employees here as well as the pharmacist do their best. The new store manager is working hard to make the store better. They are a corporation and of course should have more employees. But the store is clean and those folks work hard. I much prefer the Radford store and the pharmacy over the CVS in Christiansburg.

Got diagnosed for RSV Friday after Thanksgiving! Could not get my scripts filled till Monday 3 days later! Landed up paying more for them because CVS would not release them. Now they are calling me saying they have filled them so pretty sure I should not be getting them filled a second time! Dangerous CVS!

Worst I have ever used. After being discharged from the hospital with a three day prescription from surgery, I had had 18 inches of my colon removed went to the pharmacy after the doctor and wrote me a prescription. They said that even though it was the third day that I had to wait until the next day to fill the prescription even though I was running out, they said my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I contacted my insurance they said it had never even been billed to them. Pharmacist admitted it. I asked her how much it would cost to fill in cash and she said she would not fill it anyway, so we waited until the next day for my wife to fill the prescription, they told her she had to go to the back of the line and wait another 20 minutes before she could fill it, but I wasn’t due to take another pill for those 20 minutes

Pharmacy is frequently closed with 0 notice other than signs inside the store. If you are so understaffed that you cannot stay open, hire more people. If you cannot find people that are willing to work there, maybe reflect on the work conditions or management because this is ridiculous.

Came in at 230pm. Tried to flag a employee down for help. Looked at me like a weirdo, no help. Get to the front no cashier. It's a drug store. Some one has to verify age. Yet 4 employees walking around gossiping. Not wanting to complain ,but things could be better

This was once a reliable and convenient pharmacy. That is the case no longer. They don't have consistent hours and seem utterly incapable of handling controlled substances like gabapentin. I have pulled all my scripts from this pharmacy.

I would like to recommend that this pharmacy do the citizens of Radford a BIG favor and permanently close. Extremely poor customer service (CVS Pharmacy), seems like half the time I go there to pick up my life saving medications they are closed for some unknown reason. I do not recommend you waste your time or money at this pharmacy. I have already began the process of transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy.The front end workers have always been friendly and helpful.

Went to pick up a prescription today and they where closed. I was in there yesterday and they had no signs posted that they would be closed till Monday next week! How does a company only open the pharmacy two days a week. Would never recommend that you get your prescription here. Avoid at all costs!

Always takes forever to get prescriptions. Pharmacy is randomly closed. They will text me that my script is ready and then I show up and they say they have to fill it and then I end up waiting 30+m.

I don't know how a so called pharmacy can stay in operation when it's ran like this. They never answer the phone, ever. If there's an issue with your prescription, you're on your own, because they won't notify you or your doctor. They will close at any time they choose, even after sending a text stating your medicine is ready. They just don't seem to care that some people's lives depend on their services.

Pharmacy staff always goes above and beyond. They work so hard, limited staff & these amazing peeps still run around with a smile on their faces! They truly work hard to ensure you have the medication you need & are so kind & reassuring. 10/10, would recommend!

Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this pharmacy at all costs. There are plenty of other ones to choose from. I've been filling prescriptions here for 5 years and I've finally run out of patience. It used to not be so bad but has gone WAY downhill. I can't remember one time I've filled something here and it's gone smoothly. If you need to call, just don't. I called three separate times today and was on hold for a total of 1 hour combined. Their automated phone refill option has never worked for me, so I have to speak to a person to get a refill. There might be one or two nice people who work behind the counter, but most have awful customer service. They are rude and act like you're the inconvenience. They also randomly close from 1-2pm for lunch so you can't call, pickup, or do anything during this time. I try so hard to be patient and I get that things happen, but this place is consistently awful so it's not just a one off issue.

This place is dangerous. The pharmacy will randomly be closed way too often and you're on your own. I would have to plan far in advance and try to pick up meds weeks early just to ensure I would be able to get them before I ran out. Their drive through window is never open and there is always a slow line inside. It seems like they are hiring anyone they can find and the workers are unprofessional. They don't answer the phone because they are so understaffed so you are forced to go inside to get any information. Back when the drive up window was still open I once waited over 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge I was there even though I had been pressing the button. The person who finally came to help had food in their mouth and proceeded to tell me they didn't even have the med available at the store. I have been very patient and have not blamed any one single worker, but I have finally had enough and am transferring to a different pharmacy. This place is so unreliable that it is a danger to people who need their meds to live/function. DON'T GO HERE

I was put on hold for 33 minutes and got no response. Sometimes when I call them it just randomly hangs up and the system to actually get to talk to a human being is painfully hard. They're all so very slow when dealing with the pharmacy line.

My husband was on the phone waiting for 27 minutes, seriously? And when someone finally answered the conversation maybe took 2 minutes. it turns out he has to call his doctor to solve the issue. (Prior authorization) That’s fine and not CVS’s fault, but by the time we were done waiting for someone to pick up the office was closed! How was there NO ONE to answer a quick question for almost half an hour? We now have to wait another day for medication my husband needs ASAP.

I understand that every where is understaffed but it is ridiculous to call not once but twice and be left on hold for an an hour and a half combined. It takes 5 minutes to answer the phone and give an update on a prescription. Finally at the store and they say that my prescription won’t be ready for another 30 minutes.. it was called in yesterday at 3:00pm. Being understaffed is not an excuse, every where is understaffed and this is one of the worst experiences I have had with a pharmacy!

Everytime I go to this pharmacy to thier minirltue clinic itb akes over hours to get one prescription. Said 15 minutes, each time made me late for work waiting from 3:50pm to 5;00pm. Store not busy. Employees talking and joking among themselves. This is very upsetting some of us take our job seriously and customers are our bummer one concern but CVS in Radford has everything backwards. But sure love eating candy. Smh

I don't know what's going on but to walk out on patients who need medication is just wrong. Cvs needs to fix this. Don't be so hard on your employees and maybe they will stay. Some of these meds are life and death. Does cvs not care that they are really hurting people?? This cvs has had too many pharmacists walk out mid day and leave patients hanging. Not right at all!

CVS Pharmacy in Radford, VA is lacking professionalism to say the least. I went there past Sunday to pick up my wife's meds and they were closed. Even though thier sign indicated they were open until 7pm. I came back on Monday, only to find it closed again. I was told by management the Pharmacist was out sick and without a pharmacist the pharmacy could not be opened. My wife was discharged from the Hospital on Saturday and I could not get her meds because CVS Pharmacy was closed. In my opinion, CVS should have a contengencyl plan. It's unacceptable for a pharmacy to be closed because the pharmacist is out sick. Perhaps, they should have another Pharmacist on call in the event the main pharmacist is out. But, I guess that's asking to much!

Unbelievably terrible customer service, less than none. How the Radford, VA location has stayed in business is a mystery. I was notified my prescription would be ready at 11 a.m. yesterday. The time was changed 8 times yesterday and 4 times today. No one will answer the phone, even after I waited on hold for 22 minutes.

They're the best CVS I've ever been to. Getting my prescriptions here while I was in college was always smooth. I almost always went through the drive thru. There was rarely more than one car in front of us and it rarely took more than 15 minutes. When I needed to transfer my prescription to another CVS because I had moved, the pharmacist's assistant did a great job explaining what needed to be done.

They gave me the wrong amount of pills for my prescription. 10 instead of 30. Mistakes are mistakes but she lied and told me they were going to be ready to pickup. When I called to have them transferred to my hometown location, there's no pills there and nothing to be transferred. Never in my life have I paid for a prescription and not given the correct amount of meds. It's unfair for me to even have to deal with this considering this is entirely on them. Manager doesn't even come into the store until 3pm so I cant even fix the situation before I return home. Horrific service in general.

I did the online prescription refill and it should have been ready the day before but I forgot to pick it up. Once I get there and ask for my prescription it’s not ready? Then I have to wait for over an hour to get a prescription that I should have already gotten? Find a new CVS this one is just awful, unorganized, and terribly slow.

The drive thru is a joke, I dont know if customers are wating for their RX to get filled a week in advance while waiting at the window, or the staff is sleeping or the customer is asleep or if I feel asleep. Honestly waiting behind 4 or 5 vehicles for 30 minutes or upwards before anyone moves is a little ridiculous. Most of the time you are better off having your RX sent via USPS.
