Larger than many other Food Lions, this store has a much larger selection of produce, meats, dairy, and other grocery items. It was well lit with large isles. Plenty of cashiers open and self-serve too. Clean store and friendly, helpful employees.

As usual we went in for two items and came out with way more stuff that we "needed." I'm sure you know how that works. Meat and produce looked good and were well stocked. Employees seemed friendly or at the very worst not unfriendly. Parking was easy which was great because the weather was miserable. Prices are not bad for being in the middle of nowhere. All in all a good experience.

Whoever trims y’all’s steaks and what not is committing war crimes back there. A blind vegan can cut meat better. Hard fat everywhere and tonight a legit hole was cut through a filet. If you’re gonna charge what you’re charging, a little quality control is needed. Not suggested, needed.

My wife ordered online, she was under the impression that I would not be able to pickup from this Food Lion, but the online order pickup receipt email stated that the pickup was at this store's address. Saw a lady employee waiting outside looking for someone, so I asked her about online pickup, she told me to park in one of the Food Lion To Go parking lot spaces. Found the designated parking, someone else was waiting in the first space available, so I parked in the second space available and in no time at all, a lady came out asked the other person if they were here for my wife's order (I could read the lady's lips that she mentioned my wife's name to them) and then the lady came to me and said my wife's name. I confirmed and she put the grocery bags in the back of my vehicle. I asked her to push the button in the back to close the back of the vehicle. She did and I returned to the home of my brother and sister in law in Patriot's Landing. I did not have to go back to route 60. This is truly a friendly neighborhood store! FYI, To Go pickup orders are provided by instacart and cost an additional $1.99.

Had a very good experience here shopping. The manager went beyond expectations for me, along with the cashier. First time ever I had a terrific experience while shopping. Manager's name was Karen I think and the cashier was Kathy. Hopefully I got the names right but thank you both. #ribs

Great selection. Store clean and well stocked shelves. Almost all my needs were met on last visit. Not too busy before 4 PM most days. No wait to check out full service.Updated 5/23/22 -- Some items are still limited; some completely out of stock. Shop here mostly for convenience. Good produce. Deli is still a nightmare to deal with. Just grab already packaged deli meat to avoid the wait. Still no canned cat food of the kind my cats eat. Thank goodness for Amazon. It's a mystery how the store is unable to stock it, but I can purchase it by the case from Amazon and it's delivered within two days. Lactose free milk available again; was not available for several weeks.Updated 9/1/22 - Quick trip. Didn't need many items today. Most items were available. Fast checkout. Still no Premier Protein Drinks. There was a recall and none were on the shelf. Found everything else.Updated 11/2/22 - Normal shopping trip. Most items were fully stocked, except for the bagged salad. They were on sale and almost wiped out. Plenty of produce otherwise. Premier Protein drinks are back in stock. Store has Christmas candy and cookies in stock. Went at 6PM and wasn't too busy. Only negative about the trip was the checkout. There were full service lines available but our checker, bless her, she really needed a bagger! So slow. It was like one thing at a time. I bring my own bags. It was slow. I'm not sure about the protocol for bagging my own groceries. I wanted to help her so badly!Updated 2/10/23 - Easy shopping trip. Several full service checkouts available. Friendly employees. Not a great selection of food and products, but would be better if the shelves held everything there are labels for. So many empty spaces. Way too many people checking out with a few cash registers open. The way they run self-checkout was a joke, and the employee “working” self-checkout was rude. On to find a grocery store that can figure out how to stock their shelves, treat their customers, and actually make the checkout process seamless.

The people who work here are nice. The people who shop here not so much. Come on New Kent we can do better. Let's learn from some of the workers here and be nice and respectful. Like smiling for no good reason at all. Just cause your happy you woke up this morning...

Walked in, got what I needed. Plenty of registers open so no wait time. Store is clean and well organized. All shopping carts are sanitized and neatly stacked. Cashier was friendly and very helpful. Items were placed in bags and they were not too heavy to carry. This Food Lion is still top notch. Had a wonderful cashier.

It's nice to go into different Food Lions. Their layouts are similar, but what I like about the store's, are how clean they are and easy to navigate. Staff is very friendly, helpful & I like the prices. The flowers weren't bad either. Thank you,Hat

The Quinton location is very nice. It has more of a selection and shelves are always stocked. It's a larger store then the one located right down the street from me and employees are very nice and helpful.

This is by far the best Food Lion near my home and it is 25 minutes away. The store is always clean and stocked. There are always associates to assist. Keep up the good work.

The store was very well stocked and clean. I have been going to another chain grocery store for a while and decoded to give food lion a try and the difference I saved this week was $25! I will definitely be changing back to food lion for my weekly grocery shopping trip!

Typically LOVE this store. The online shopping has been great. Shopped in person today and was disappointed an employee reached under me to scan a head of lettuce..not social distancing, and several employees wearing masks like chin straps. Cashiers being safe, others not so much.

Started coming here because of the pandemic and noticed that they were closer than the Wal-Mart that I used to frequent. Their prices are comparable; I like that I don't have to buy 2 in order to get the prorated promotional price (2/$4 or just buy 1 at $2). They are pretty mindful of regular cleaning. They are also pretty good about their inventory as well.

Working so hard to fill the pickup orders while still serving the store customers. The self checkouts have been upgraded. The store has an excellent management team. I worked there for 7 years and it was a really good experience.

This is my favorite location! I have been doing To Go since covid and tried different locations but this store is the best and always gets it right and I never have a single item missing.If the order is large or small they fulfill it and they also have great communication during the shop and are always friendly.

It's a grocery store! I go there and buy stuff that we eat. Nothing special. Just necessary for survival. Why these places need to be rated excapes me!!! These stores are a necessary part of the community and I happen to like my food lion in Quinton.

I was looking for a new grocery store and we decided to try this Food Lion. I was pleasantly surprised; this store is very clean, the employees were so friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with a really good variety of products, the meats are fresh and varied, produce looks amazing. I will be shopping here from now on.

Great staff but this is a grocery store. The produce selection is not great nor does it ever seem fresh. The meats are lacking, don't think you are going to find a nice steak. Seafood, no thanks. Beer selection is just ok. The store is always clean and the staff is nice but isn't that supposed to be every grocery store?

I got everything I came for except bananas. For some reason they only ever have organic ones left, like someone is snatching them all up at once. With that it seems they need to get more bananas at a time. It wasn't too busy going in the early evening on a Sunday. They have a great wine selection. The only thing REALLY dislike about this place is that the beauty section is nothing compared to most other grocery stores. They have next to no makeup at all, and what they do have is clearly geared more towards fair skinned people.

Workers were very helpful. Rude shopper wanted to start something with me about not wearing a mask though. Pitiful people. Shortage on TP & Pillsbury Grands Biscuits both frozen and refrigerated.
