For a while, it was hard to get service. Lately, there have been more staff available and a self checkout. Store is clean and has the basic items you expect from a Dollar General. Nice, close option when you need something quick like TP or cold medicine.

Traveling out of town, and this dollar general has so many great finds with GREAT prices. And the girl at the register was so kind and helpful. This DG has it all.

Ran out of fuel today and I needed to pickup money from Western Union so I could get back on the road and make the hour drive home. Despite my lack of knowledge on how WU transfers work and being terribly ill prepared, April was beyond helpful. She very optimistically & eagerly helped out with everything, going so far as to let me use her cell phone to set up a WU account. Not only an amazing representative and proficient manager of Dollar General but also a kind, understanding, and down to earth person.

I dont live anywhere near this Dollar General but was looking for something in particular so traveled a little ways to find it. Out in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere i found this amazing little gem. I loved the store itself (fully stocked, nice n clean and very organized). Not to mention the workers were very sweet. I will definitely make a stop by here often now.

The cashiers are awesome friendly the bathroom is clean! The one in Piney River Va is the one Im speaking of! Amanda and tempest are very helpful and should definately get a promotion or at least be acknowledged for their hard work!

We've had a Dollar General & other dollar stores explosion here in the past few years in this tiny rural county in which I live & the adjacent tiny rural county as well. I seriously don't know how all of these dollar stores are going to do with a combined counties' total population of about 60K. Those that do survive will do so because we of the rural county persuasion like the way we're treated in one store vs another. Seriously! There's now 7-8 dollar stores within a 15-20 mile radius & they all sell near identical stuff for near identical price so the ONLY reason to prefer on over others is, ultimately the staff. In this last visit to this store my mother and I were greeted with a smile, the store was pretty clean & when we had "where is" questions, we were helped in a friendly manner. THIS and this alone is why I'll drive to this Dollar store over another.

I made a pretty solid sandwich in the parking lot, so I guess you could say things are getting pretty srs. Dolla Gen'tral has the stuff you want to buy.

We call it the Piney River Walmart. It's a great place if you need something real quick. You don't have to go all the way to Lovingston.
