We stayed at the Garden & Sea Inn for one overnight on our way to Florida. The owner greeted us at the door to welcome us. It's a wonderful Inn- our room was very comfortable & provided everything we needed. She recommended a wonderful restaurant close by for dinner & made our breakfast in the morning- it was delicious! We chatted through breakfast. We felt at home here & would definitely stay again!

My husband and I just got back from an absolutely wonderful time on the Eastern shoreThe Garden and Sea Inn is located just a few miles from Chincoteague and Wallops Island where we both enjoyed great food, nice shopping and a very educational adventure to the NASA welcome center. What we found to be our favorite thing was the beautiful room and a wonderful breakfast every morning. The innkeepers were so efficient and always there if you needed anything, their kindness was 5 star. We plan to return very soonI personally highly recommend them to my friends. Oh and the pets welcome is fantastic. Lisa

This B&B was AWESOME! Our host, Grace, was so friendly and generous; she made our trip fun and we loved our conversations! We stayed in the main house, in the Chardonnay room. The bed was more comfortable than our own at home!! The bathroom was HUGE with a beautiful jetted tub! Even though the room was on the first floor, at the front of the house, it was peaceful and I didn’t hear any road noise. Breakfast was amazing!! Always with fruit, a sweet, some juice, a main course and your choice of beverage (mine was coffee). Grace always had snacks, coffee and water available 24/7. There’s lots of cool antique shopping nearby and the beach at Ocean City, MD is a quick drive too! The grounds are beautiful with lots of seating inside and out. If you are on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, you NEED to include this in your stop!Highly recommended!!

My wife, my dog, and I stayed there for 2 nights on are way back from South Carolina. Wonderful Inn and hosts. A short distance to Assateague National Seashore Park , and the quaint town of Berlin MD. Breakfast at the Inn is over the top. If you decide to stay there, you won't be disappointed.Ron, Kathleen Hacku

My other half had never been to a bed & breakfast before, and I wanted him to be able to relax for his birthday. I was looking and hoping for the perfect place to make that happen, and thankfully enough I found it here! Grace was so welcoming and wonderful! It was cozy and comfortable, and the food was incredible! Everything I was looking for was provided ❤️ It was perfect!Rooms: The room was clean and cozy! I loved the feel and decorations, and the jacuzzi tub was perfect! The shower was incredible, and the hot water was on point!Nearby activities: There’s so so much within 20-30 minutes. It’s a great location!Food & drinks: Grace made great recommendations to Bordeleau Vineyard, Don’s Restaurant, and Maurice’s. Everything was on point, especially her breakfast!Noteworthy details: Grace also makes her own soap and bath bombs with a wide variety of scents! You know we had to get some of those 🤩

My only regret is not staying longer! My partner and I highly enjoyed our stay. The room had everything we needed, the property was beautiful and there was plenty of room for our dog to roam around. No one else was there at the time, so we had a private porch and entire house to ourselves! Grace was great and super accommodating. She gave great recommendations on local restaurants and activities. Breakfast was delicious and Grace even went a few towns over just to get vegan cheese for our breakfast omelette! We will definitely be back.

I spent my birthday weekend at this lovely Inn. As soon as I stepped on the property, it felt like home. From the Victorian architecture to the lovely garden areas I felt like I discovered new treasures wherever I looked. The room was just perfect and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the comfortable bed with the pretty linens. I swam in the refreshing pool and enjoyed one evening sitting in the screened in gazebo. Home made breakfasts and muffins were so good! The very best thing about my stay were the hosts. Grace and Jeanne couldn't have been more accommodating. I enjoyed this Inn so much, I never left the property. I will be back ❤️

A fun getaway close enough to Chincoteague to enjoy the ocean. A nice old Victorian, the main building has a long history, and the current owners are making improvements as they go. The road can be a bit noisy at night. There are also a couple of other more modern structures - the owners share in the Yellow House, and the Garden House has a game room and allows pets. A small pool is nearby, and a couple of attractive seating areas on the property. Breakfast is ample, and Grace was willing to accommodate a gluten-free diet. There was also a snack / cookie table and some free drinks.

Came as a single traveler and it was perfect. The breakfast and pastries were 10/10. The atmosphere of the garden was so relaxing and the beach is only 25min away. It was a great location to do many activities and MD is only a few minutes away as well. Plenty of parking and its gated. Will definitely come back and recommend to others! Grace was very kind and great at recommending places to eat and visit.Nearby activities: Kayaking/ Beach/ Antique Shopping/ Boat Tours

Adorable! My husband and I stayed here this weekend for a getaway, and we were in the Chablis Suite. I don't think the pictures do it justice, it was SO spacious, and the bathroom felt almost regal with the dual pedestal vanities. I also have a ton of toiletries so the table between the sinks, but ALSO the large space on the sides of the tub were excellent to spread out my belongings. Owner(s) were very sweet to talk with and breakfast each morning was delicious. It was a really quick drive into Chincoteague/Assateague (20ish min usually), which is where we did all of our exploring. I also got a quick dip in the pool which was excellent with the heat. Loved staying here versus a hotel because it allowed us to balance being a tourist with feeling romantic.

I can't say enough about our wonderful experience at Garden and Sea Inn. We stayed in the Lighthouse room, which was clean, comfortable, with plenty of room. Every evening we were able to have a glass of wine as we enjoyed the beautiful view from the screened-in porch. The breakfasts, prepared by Grace, were incredibly creative and delicious. We never had to worry about starting our day hungry! Grace is a wonderful baker, and throughout the week we enjoyed red velvet cookies, coconut macadamia cookies, and muffins. The grounds were so beautiful, with flowers everywhere and butterflies following wherever we went. The work these ladies have put into restoring this property has created a relaxing and rejuvenating oasis.Grace and Jeanie welcomed us with open arms and their hospitality made our stay a truly memorable experience. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This was our second time staying at the Inn. We stayed for a week and it was the perfect location for a romantic get away. My wife and I have had a hectic summer and desperately needed a location that provided a "put the brakes on" atmosphere. We took advantage of the front porch to read before breakfast. Then we crashed in our room for a nap after breakfast. The pool offered a place to cool off and take another nap. ( sounds like all we did was nap) The Inn is located very close to Chincoteague and Assateague so we took advantage of these locations to shop and enjoy the beaches.I can't say enough about the Inn keepers Jeanie and Grace. How they manage to keep up the Inn and entertain their guests is beyond me. Every morning we ate a freshly prepared breakfast, had our coffee mugs filled and solved all of the worlds issues before deciding on what we are going to do with our time. If you're looking for a place that just screams RELAX, The Garden and Sea Inn is the place to visit!!

My husband and I came in February for our Anniversary and Valentines celebration. We stayed at the Chardonnay room. It was wonderfully decorated and had the perfect vintage feel on par with a period romance novel. We enjoyed the most relaxing bubble bath in the glorious jetted tub. The next morning, Grace was the perfect hostess. She prepared unique gourmet breakfasts that were refreshing and done with an eye for the healthier options. The dinning room featured a beautiful view along with an area dedicated to hand crafted items for sale and basic refreshments available for your use anytime. The local is ideal for visiting Berlin and their shops and restaurants but also for visiting Assateague and Chincoteague Parks where the ponies roam the beaches. If willing, Ocean City is worth the drive as well.It was everything we’d hope for in a historical romantic experience combined with the comforts of modern amenities like Wi-Fi. We highly recommend!!

We were supposed to spend NYE in New York but our event got cancelled. We turned it into lemonade with our stay in the Chablis Suite. Jeannie and Grace are absolutely lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious (especially the sausage, egg and green Chile casserole). The towels were super fluffy. Having access to the smart TV for our personal streaming accounts was really nice. The handmade soaps smell delicious. Lovely and laid back atmosphere. Grace and Jeannie were attentive to all of our needs. In the unlikely but hopeful event that we can get out this way again, we would love to repeat our weekend. The bed and linens were cozy. The whole property has such amazing charm.

Couldn't stay in the room I booked because the AC broke down so they put me in another room for 2 nights and then moved me to another room after that (first room was on the second floor and I have issues with stairs). Grace and Jeannie are very sweet ladies and would be willing to talk about many different topics.Rooms: Very quaint and period authentic items through out the homes.Nearby activities: Nearby Chincoteague without having to pay the high rates.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay. It's obvious that Grace & Jeanie care about their guests and make everyone feel welcome. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the home and got great local recommendations.Rooms: Our room was nice, clean, and private.Nearby activities: It was close enough to restaurants, grocery store, Chincoteague, and other tourist attractions, but far enough from summer weekend crowds.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious and coffee is available all day

I cannot recommend this B&B enough. We stayed in the Chardonnay room and it was absolutely beautiful. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, not to mention the mattress is heaven!! The owners are absolutely lovely women. Grace (owner) prepared breakfast for us both mornings of our stay and it was fantastic! Her personality is vibrant and we really enjoyed our breakfast chats with her and hearing about her life. Thank you ladies for a much needed getaway weekend, we'll see you in the spring!

Great B&B to stay at! My boyfriend and I booked the Sandpiper room for our anniversary trip and had a great time. The owners are lovely and very friendly. Breakfast and all the amenities were great. The B&B is about 20 minutes from Chincoteague so it’s in a perfect location is you’re hoping to visit the island but want to have a little more quiet. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in the beautiful Chardonnay room. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The innkeeper, Grace, was very hospitable, personable, a gourmet cook, and master of all trades! She is knowledgeable about things going on in the area and beyond. We weren't successful in seeing ponies in Chincoteague, so she advised us to go into Maryland, where the ponies abound! That was the highlight of our day. She recommended great restaurants, wineries, shopping, etc. Wine, coffee, tea and snacks were available 24/7, and we wanted for nothing. We had a great mini vacation and look forward to coming back again!

We loved our stay at Garden and Sea Inn! We picked it because it is dog friendly and near the Eastern Shore. Our room was so cute and comfortable. There was a screened-in porch, an electric fireplace, a jacuzzi tub and homemade bath products! Breakfast was delicious and there is even a trail on the property for dog walking. We also enjoyed walking around the garden and ponds.

Grace and Jeannie are amazing human beings. Our stay was magnificent. We stayed in the Nelson with a natural skylight in the bathroom and an old school soaking footed tub. We had great breakfast every morning. Most of all, its a safe haven for every one to feel welcome. If I could give six stars I would. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was our second stay at the Garden and Sea Inn. My boyfriend and I really love it here. The couple that own and run the B & B are amazing and make sure you are taken care of during your stay. The hotel is dog friendly which is a big deal for us because we take our dogs to the beach every year and this is where we stay. The property is quite large and there is plenty of room to walk your dog. I like the fact that all dogs on the property are always leashed. We stayed in the Chardonnay room which is located on the main house on the first floor. We like this room because it is easily accessible, has a soaking tub (HUGE), and has a large bathroom and bedroom with king bed. The mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast is always good and we have never been disappointed in the food options. Overall just a really great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Garden & Sea! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The grounds were well maintained, quiet, and peaceful. Our room was VERY clean, cozy and comfortable. My wife especially loved the herbal bath grains. The parlor in the Garden House was filled with beautiful antique furniture and had a little kitchenette stocked with all sorts of tasty treats. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal. We would definitely love to stay here again. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

What a delightful, welcoming, comfortable and delicious visit we had at Garden and Sea. The reason for the BnB having Garden in its name was obvious as the garden was beautiful, but I was curious as to why an inland BnB had Sea in its name. The reason it seems was that this is an Inn that dates back beyond the last century and although the new owners renovated and modernized the Inn, they kept the name and the wonderful Victorian ambiance. I was able to soak in a modern relaxing Jacuzzi bath and sleep in a comfortable Victorian-style bed, in a Victorian decorated room. I also had one of the best breakfasts ever that was augmentd by interesting discussions with the owners!!

Beautiful place and beautiful people. Truly a safe haven. Actually dog friendly, with lots of land for the dogs to run around. Breakfasts are delicious and handmade, fruit was some of the best I've had. Garden seems well maintained and looks gorgeous at night. Pool is nice and gets down to around five foot deep, it seemed. Near some lovely dog friendly beaches. Highly suggest, especially if you are LGBT+ and wish to be somewhere safe in the south.
