It seems really nice. But I don't think I'll be going back they took my cat in the back and did everything back there. I didn't get to see anything, not even a simple examination. They said they gave shots, but who knows. I can't trust strangers like that. I was very uncomfortable. Sorry.

Was quoted $163.00 to have my elderly sick cat euthanized.... seriously?! Said the vet would have to do an exam first on my 15 year old cat with a chronic nose discharge THAT same vet couldn't treat and that would cost extra.....

I moved to the area and wanted a vet close to the house. First, they took my dog to another room to examine her and then returned to discuss the exam. Why? I explained that my dog does better and stays more calm with me in the room with her. The biggest problem with this vet is they charge you $5 per prescription for the vet’s time to write it! WTH. it is printed off the computer and I paid the vet for their time already for the appointment. They will not work with chewy and you have to mail prescriptions into chewy. My dog has seizures and needs her meds. Local pharmacies are much higher than chewy. The whole aggregating part, I mailed in a prescription that the vet wrote wrong. Which meant I had to start the whole process over again. So inconvenient.

My husband and I are new to the area and we have 3 animals that needed to get their necessary shots and annual checkups. So look on line and found Montpelier Veterinary Hospital was actually the closest one. Did not know much about it except that someone informed me that there were new drs there. He had taken his dog there and was happy with the vet. So I called and made appointments for all 3 of my pets and it was great. Office staff-- very friendly and the drs were just the same. And actually I did not even have a chance to sit in the waiting room. I got there and went right into one of the examining rooms both times. Dr's willing to listen and talk to you about your pets and any concerns you might have. A pleasant experience and definitely will be going back. Love them !

Very nice, they explain everything they do before and after. They answered my questions over the phone every time, and I ask a lot of dumb questions. They walked us through a lot of basics about being a cat owner since these are our first pets. Didn't really listen to us when we suggested testing our one cat for asthma.

I had to take my daughters cat to the vet yesterday. What we thought was an abscess turned out to be a tumor. The staffs compassion and gentleness touched me so. Dr. Mason teared up as much as we did. We said goodbye to our 14 year old Lamont. They are amazing

Incompetent, apathetic, and arrogant (Scott Neviaser). Our eight year old family dog collapsed and was unable to stand back up for a lengthy period of time. Once she was able to stand up, she was having difficulty maintaining her balance and was unable to use her back legs - staggering and disoriented. As per their "Signs of a Pet Emergency" webpage, these were several symptoms that warranted emergent care. The staff was able to accommodate a same day appointment (which is why they received one star). However, when we brought her in, the staff and Scott Neviaser responded as if we were over-reacting and there was little to nothing to be concerned about or that could be done. Blood, stool, and urine samples were taken with inconclusive results. Scott Neviaser prescribed a de-wormer. My eight year old dog passed away three days later. No phone call, no follow-up, no concern. In good conscious, I cannot risk taking my other family pets to a place that lacks the requisite knowledge to adequately provide medical care or lacks any semblance of empathy. I do not know which one was the case here but, the lack of either is unacceptable.

My husband and I moved to the area last year. We have 4 dogs and we take them for their shots, as well as nails trims so you can imagine the money spent here. The last straw for me is CHARGING people for a written prescription. I order ours on Chewy because the discounts and free shipping are good- again SEVERAL dogs that needs meds. This vet now wants to charge you for a written prescription - and of course they won't work with Chewy on the phone like any other vet. What a rip off! Further more, if you're even a week behind getting your dog in for a yearly (my husband and I work full time, so yes, sometimes we are past due a bit) they wont' fill flea/tick or heart-worm meds. RIDICULOUS. We will be going back to our vet in Mechanicsville moving forward.
