Customer service is amazing always try’s to help me get better pricing on my prescriptions. Always make sure my prescriptions are ready when they’re supposed to be. There’s no other Cvs, I’d rather go to

I really have grown to detest everything CVS except for the people. Unfortunately they are caught up in a world of poor operational decisions. I spend way too much time at this store to the point where I should be billing them instead of them billing me. My last visit was my LAST visit ever. I hope this will inspire them to improve their operations. I am now driving well out of my way to avoid them.

I used to love using CVS pharmacy. In the past ten years, well before COVID, however, CVS pharmacy has deteriorated. The latest announcement about cutting hours due to a shortage of pharmacists is just finally admitting to what has been a problem now for years. The short staffing has resulted in consistently long wait times, both by phone and in-person, medications not being ready in a timely fashion or as promised, and severely overworked staff who are sometimes successful and sometimes not in showing their frustrations and/or handling customer complaints well. I actually feel sorry for the staff as much as the public. My recent visit to CVS was not unusually frustrating. It highlights some of the common issues I mentioned above. I recently had dental surgery and was prescribed pain medication and antibiotics. I left the dental office after an hour and a half procedure and received a text from CVS stating that they were out of the pain medication and suggested I contact my location if I wanted to switch pharmacy locations to get the prescription sooner. When I called, after a long wait I spoke to the pharmacy and was told the medication would not be in stock for a couple of days. Given the time sensitive need for this medication, I asked to pick up the script from another location. I was told all the CVS locations near me (and there are a lot as I live in a city) were out of the medication and the closest CVS that had it in stock was over 30 minutes away from me in the country. I of course had to call my doctor to call in the controlled medication to the new CVS location. After doing so, I was notified through CVS online that the medication would be ready the following morning. As this was not acceptable, I would need the medication when the numbing shots wore off, I called the new CVS location filling the medication to ask for the meds to be ready sooner. I was on hold for 25 minutes before I gave up. All the while, expecting to not be able to reach anyone and knowing I would need to pick up that day anyways, I was driving to the CVS location. When I arrived, they had no knowledge of the scripts being called in. My original pharmacy still indicated that they were filling the medication, despite the fact that I told them I would be going to the other location. The location I was at checked their called in scripts, located my doctors’ message, and instructed me to call the original CVS and tell them to put the scripts on hold so that the new location could fill them. Why this was not done when I was on the phone with them before is beyond me. So I called again, and again waited a long time to speak with someone. By the time the CVS location was able to fill the script, I had been waiting an hour and a half. The entire time the pharmacy staff were working overtime to try and meet the demand, especially in light of the cut hours. I watched the staff handle disgruntled customers better than I would have been able to given the conditions CVS expects them to work under. By the time I got home, it had taken me four hours to get my scripts. My numbing medication was long worn off and I was in a great deal of pain. CVS just needs to close their doors so another pharmacy that can actually meet client needs can move in.

I’m giving two stars because there have been a handful of helpful workers. But overall, I have had to call and recall for prescriptions and wait past due for prescriptions. Today I was told they were out of my daughters antibiotic and I had to call another cvs to have it transferred. I asked them if they could just transfer it and they said no. After waiting on the phone forever with the other cvs, I asked them again if they could do it. They were able this time to transfer it. I’m not sure why they couldn’t the first time. This is one of many times and instances things have gone less then smoothly.Has potential, but needs a lot of work to become more efficient. I’ll be switching pharmacies.

Really helpful NP with the COVID test for my son. Great attitude, even though I could tell he was tired and overworked.
