The McLeish Family is so warm and inviting to all that visit their farm. You come away with a wealth of knowledge about alpacas and some new friends as well( both human and animal). Off the regular beaten path but well worth the time. Grandson was even photographed for the Bristol Herald Courier at the "meet and feed" event connected with the Virginia Highlands Festival. What a treasured memory we now have of our visit to Dreamland Alpacas. Thank you so much for your genuine hospitality!!!

The owner is very friendly and informative! There’s also a little gift shop that has stuffed animals, clothing, socks, etc. made from alpacas! We will be returning in a few months when the babies are born!

The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Dreamland Alpacas! Melissa was a wonderful hostess and very patient with the kids' hesitation and my questions. We got the cutest stuffed alpaca which I've been calling Mr. Puff.

Stopped here on a road trip. Just off the I81 David and his wife and very friendly and informative. The gift shop has a variety of products home made by his wife, locally produced and also imported. We got to feed and pet the alpacas :) they also have sheep, goats, chickens and two dogs.10/10 would definitely recommend! It's also free though donations/purchased are always welcome (and worthwhile)

Very nice people with lots of Alpaca products. This wool is so soft and nice to touch. Some of the products are hand made there and others are made in other places. They also have classes so you can learn to make your own products with yarn they sell there. Nice place to browse around and find a cozy pair of socks, gloves, hat, scarf, or shawl. Great place to shop for Christmas.

Awesome family and farm! Dreamland Alpacas is off the beaten path but very easy to find from interstate 81. The owners are absolutely lovely. They are passionate about their alpacas and their business. There is also a gift shop on site. You can purchase cozy items made from Dreamland Alpaca wool. Socks, hats, gloves, mittens, etc. my favorite are the hand woven and hand knit items that have the names of the alpaca the wool came from on the tag. I highly recommend a visit to Dreamland!

Dreamland Alpaca Farm (near the interstate) was the highlight of our roadtrip! We loved all the natural beauty in the area and hiking, but getting to stop and feed alpacas and see some baby sheep and alpacas turned our trip from good to incredible. The owner was so friendly and showed us all around and told us so many interesting stories and facts about her animals and her life, and we ended up getting some really cute, high quality wool socks from her shop as well. Definitely check it out if you're nearby! Took us about an hour to see the farm, feed the animals, buy something, then get back on the interstate!

Great place to visit! I brought two elementary age boys to tour the farm, and Ms. Debbie is exceptional at answering their questions and teaching them how to interact with the animals. We had a great time! Highly recommend!

Our trip to Dreamland (aptly named) was great fun! David and the family were welcoming, knowledgeable, and willing to share their knowledge. We got to see brand new wiggly little crias being fed. (I still grin just thinking of it.) And the store has lovely things. I've bought alpaca socks for my nephew-in-law at both the Abingdon Farmer's Market and at the store. Scarves, hats, toys...just great stuff. I definitely hope to go back...maybe in the spring. Dreamland is an uplifting, happy-making place.

Went to check out the Alpacas, as never seen before, we went at an off time, but the owner came out of his house and gave us a nice tour. We learned a lot about Alpacas and he answered every question we asked about them, he has a small store on premises where you can purchase items made with the Alpaca fur. If you are in the area, it's worth checking out.
