This is a fantastic organization! They do amazing work and make sure all their animals go to homes that are going to take care of them for life. I fostered 2 litters of kittens this spring and they were available 24/7 to offer any support or assistance I needed.

We adopted our girl April from MHF on September 1st 2018 and they did a wonderful job in ensuring she received the care she needed while there. They were all very friendly, the adoption process was detailed and understandable, and overall it was a very pawsitive experience for all of us. I work with a rescue & Transport out of Texas. This foundation was very accommodating and easy to work with. We were able to reunite a cat with its previous owner and transport it from Middleburg to Texas, thanks to this foundation. Their facilities are well-kept, too.

Had an awesome time at their haunted trail. Earlier in the evening is for younger kids to trick or treat. Later is where the fun starts for the older kids and adults. $5.00 for anyone over 12. 12 and your younger are free.

I have taken our dog here for grooming several times. Samantha is amazing with our Chloe!! She does a really good job! First groomer we’ve found (tried at least 6 others) who is able to trim her face even on both sides every time.

Found a kitten last week and the technicans at Middleburg Humane society were very helpful. They were able to take a look at the kitten that day so that we had peace of mind bringing her into our home. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great foundation, they have some good things, it is a thrift store! Though they call themselves a resale boutique, which is true? I say a thrift store, the purpose of a thrift store is it that you get a deal, they’re priced a little bit higher but the quality is better and worth the extra money! Highly recommended you shop weekly, I recommend it

I thought this was just the place to adopt a new dog for the family. I was wrong. If I could give zero stars I would. Their process for the application was fine and they agreed that we could do a dog to dog with my parents dogs. When we met they were timid at first. Then they got used to each other, and the employee that was conducting the meeting agreed we could adopt Fiji if we liked her, just to let them know by Monday or Tuesday. When we confirmed our desire to adopt and take her home, they told us we couldn’t, even though we had already gotten tags toys and care products for her. They claimed the listing restricted the environment we were providing(like must have a wooden fence and no small dogs) when that wasn’t even listed on the details for the dog. Someone who wasn’t even at the dog meeting decided it didn’t work for us or the dog. This was just before many of the dogs were to be sent to a shelter in a different state. I called and requested an answer after explaining the dog would be living in a million dollar home, on an acre of land, with an electric fence. After being told they would get back to us with a decision with the executive director, we never heard back. We have no idea where Fiji is, and what happened to her. They refuse to answer calls or emails and didn’t have the respect to even let us know she was being shipped away to another shelter instead of being given a home. I beg of you don’t adopt from here. They obviously don’t care about finding these animals good homes, and their inability to communicate effectively is a major problem as it has been over three weeks and I have still heard nothing back from them AFTER BEING TOLD WE COULD ADOPT FIJI. Unbelievable and completely disheartening that they would choose sending a dog to a shelter for god knows how long, instead of giving it to a home where it would have been loved and looked after constantly. 0/5.

This foundation has opened their doors and educated the kids in our Woof and Hoof camp for 17 years. I think some of the kids have volunteered there with parents too. The foundation fills a big void for no kill shelters.
