Wolftown County Store is great. Gas prices cheaper there than in town. Their chicken is amazing. I haven't tried anything there that I don't like. People are very friendly.

Been going to wolftown store for 45 years it just don't get no better than it love it and the owners. I never go to sheets it's nasty and they are a no count business just read up on how they treat the people who work for them if you aren't family you can't work for main office bunch of ah they are

World class food and service. I think they bring the air for their drink boxes straight from the Arctic Circle because it’s the coldest water I’ve ever had from a store. I couldn’t hold the can of water in my hand for more than 10 seconds without risking frostbite.

I guess you have to be a local to get service at this place, because I tried to purchase some drinks but gave up after waiting for several minutes while the cashier completely ignored me and chatted with a friend and admired pictures of his new home renovation. I mean, it sounded like a nice home reno job, but based on the age of the products on their shelves, I was surprised they were willing to ignore a customer, since it didn’t seem to me like they could really afford to lose business. Based on the scathing look the unmasked cashier gave me before proceeding to ignore me completely, I can’t help but wonder if I received such poor service because I wore a mask into the business. Luckily Sheetz was just down the road and provided me with friendly service and a clean, safe place to spend my money.

If you want to visit and find a real "country store" that will take you back 50 years this is it! You really think you've stepped back in time when you walk through the door to pay for your gas since the pumps don't take credit cards. The girl behind the counter was very nice and helpful. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke though...

This is a true country store, not some hipster store front that calls itself a country store. Stop by for some good hot food (especially the fried chicken) when you get hungry after a good hike in the foothills of the blueridge or just passing through. Owned and operated by good folks that take pride in their work.

This is a great little country store. It's a very convenient location (especially for a gas station), there's nice people, and there's delicious food. The only problem is a pretty big one: this is a small town store that people go in, sit down, and shoot the breeze, which is totally fine, but the problem is that people are allowed to smoke inside of the store... which means if you have babies/kids, are pregnant, have asthma or some other health condition that effects your breathing, or are just concerned for your health in general (categories which all cover a bunch of individuals and potential customers) then this may not be where you want to stop at. The smell of smoke can be pretty overwhelming at times. It was also studied and found out that 3rd-hand smoke exposure (the smell of smoke on anything: products, clothes, shoes, bags, boxes, furniture, walls, etc.) is just as dangerous/deadly as 2nd-hand smoke exposure and/or smoking yourself. Like I said, it's a great little store, there just needs to be a "no smoking" policy put into place.

A good place to stop for a quick snack, a sandwich, or more. They do have a basic selection of items that can definitely save you time and a trip so that in itself is appreciated. Also the old time store atmosphere is always enjoyable!

I have been shopping here since it was “Mr. Harry Hood’s Store”. The people have changed, but the smiles continue! Stopped by for lunch today and ended the meal with a .50 cent Fudge bar by Hershey’s icecream. Not fancy; but reliable.
