The owner and staff are very friendly. The food is amazing. We camped at KOA Lexington/Natural Bridges and planned on cooking breakfast at the campsite, but the breakfast was so good at Sweet Treats that we kept coming back. We may take another family vacation just to eat here again!Kid-friendliness: Staff was very accomodating to my child. They made him feel special. The kid pancakes are shaped like a dog—very cute!

This bakery was an adorable sit-down restaurant/bakery in the downtown Lexington, VA area. We stopped by on our brief pass through as we exited the Blue Ridge Parkway to grab to-go breakfast. They had breakfast sandwiches (bacon egg cheese) on a variety of breads (we chose Asiago bagel). We ordered two to-go and our total was ~$12 and some change. The sandwiches were hot and delicious. The egg very fluffy, (American?) cheese melted perfectly and the bacon was cooked just right! The bagel was soft and not too chewy at all. We loved it! The lady behind the counter was very sweet and the service was quick. The pastries displayed on the counter looked delicious, & we wished we’d had more time to take a seat inside their bakery to eat! It does appear that they have table service and a couple was sitting enjoying their breakfast when we were present.

Was visiting Lexington for the first time and stopped by for a treat, and I'm so glad I did! Very cute inside with plenty of seating. A lot of options to choose from in their cases. I ended up getting the mini key lime pie, which was the perfect size! Also took home scones and baklava. I forgot to take a picture of them but they were delicious. The owner was also extremely friendly and welcomed us to the area and recommended places to visit. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely return on my next visit to Lexington!

Fantastic find on my travels home from the Carolinas!! I stopped over in Lexington hoping to find some lunch. When I found out that the “café” up the street was actually just a coffee shop and ice cream parlor, I asked a local person where I could go to find a nice lunch, and she recommended Sweet Treats. Despite the fact that the name says bakery, it’s much more. The location has lots of charm with the black and white checkered floor, tin ceiling, and the ice cream parlor chairs. The owner was very personable, and I’m pretty sure his brother was helping out that day, and he was fun too. I ordered up a BLT at the counter, was given options for the bread, and I chose the croissant. I took a seat while my sandwich was under construction, and I enjoyed watching the local people come in and out of this friendly atmosphere. A couple of old gents came in for coffee and some afternoon chatter. A few small groups of ladies came in to grab a treat, or have some lunch, and on a couple of occasions, people popped in to ask for directions. The friendly ownership obliged on every turn, even walking the one couple out onto the sidewalk to point to their destination, and make sure they got going the right way. When my sandwich arrived, I dare say it was the best BLT I’ve ever had. It was delivered with a smile, the croissant was fresh and the bacon was perfectly cooked. After lunch, I picked up a couple of mini sweet treats for dessert, including a tiny, Keylime, cheesecake, and a black-and-white mini cookie. Both were fresh and delicious! Before hitting the road again, I decided to use the facilities and found the charming drawings on the restroom door, and admired the little mini card catalog of feminine products that were freely available to anyone who might need them— extra touches that make them stand out from the crowd! This place is an absolute asset to Lexington, and if you’re ever in the area, stop by and they’ll make you feel at home.

Very welcoming, cozy, quaint restaurant. We breakfast here frequently. The food is always delicious, hot and fresh. The omelet is wonderful, with the best seasoned potatoes on the side. Owner and staff are so friendly. And, of course, there are the delicious sweet treats! Here again today in 2021, still the best!

I stopped in Sweet Treats in a total panic late on Saturday afternoon. We were driving in from Massachusetts for a 50th Anniversary party for my in-laws and just as we were passing through Lexington on the last 30 minutes of what had been an 11 hour drive, my cake maker texted to tell me she was sick and couldn't do the cake we had ordered weeks ago...for a party less then 24 hours away! Quick Google search, and I entered Sweet Treats begging for help. We settled on completely wiping them out of a variety of cupcakes and an 8" white on white cake with raspberry filling. Everything was wonderful! Everyone loved the cake, and all the cupcakes were amazing. You can tell when bakery items are made with quality ingredients, and these were. Thank you so much for helping us out! We were thrilled with everything we got, and I will be recommending this location to everyone who is looking for baked goods for any event, big or small. I really wish there had been leftover cake, but sadly, there was not.

Breakfast is delicious, I got an omelette and it was big and tasty. It also came with really amazing potatoes, I almost ordered more. You go to the register and order, then pay, which I liked, but I sat myself in the main dining area having no idea that they have a beautiful outdoor patio in the back! I wish I had known it was there before I ate, it was really cute. Overall a wonderful experience, I will definitely return here.

We were visiting the area and decided to stop here for breakfast. Definitely the best decision I've made this week. Pancakes were perfect, potatoes were soft and crispy at the same time, the waffle was delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

We were so lucky to have chosen Sweet Treats to handle our rehearsal dinner and wedding cakes. Shane was so easy and fun to work with, making useful suggestions and willing to do whatever we envisioned. The cakes were beautiful and delicious, and everyone loved them. We especially enjoyed the carrot, lemon/raspberry, almond, and tres leches cakes. We definitely recommend Sweet Treats for their cake and as your wedding cake go-to spot!

We were passing through and looking for a good breakfast location and the reviews drew our interest. We weren’t disappointed in the least, I had eggs, sausage and a waffle, my wife had a hot pastrami with chips both made to absolute perfection. My wife’s pastrami was on homemade bread, the mustard was the stone ground kind. The chips were also homemade. But to our surprise the atmosphere and the people were all very friendly. Everyone talked to you like you belonged there, very welcoming comfortable inviting little town and restaurant. Sorry fellow driver’s unless your on vacation there’s no truck parking.

We used Sweet Treats for our wedding cake and were so pleased! The tasting was easy and informative, and we were able to personalize our cake to be exactly how we wanted it. We went with lemon, vanilla, and almond cakes with buttercream icing and were SO thrilled with the flavor, and the presentation was the exact minimal design that we wanted. It was also special to use them because my husband and I had been visiting Sweet Treats for meals for years. Highly recommend!

It is a decent place for a quick bite to eat, not fancy nor big like other joints but their food in my opinion is better tasting than that of the big chains, lots of sweet treats to choose from and you can even buy treats for your furry friend.It's small place so it's understandable that if it gets busy you may have to wait a little, not my case since it was very early still, but got treated fairly well, I did liked their omelette, I would stop by again if in the area.

I would say this definitely has some of the best sweets you can get! However, it is the exceptional atmosphere of the place which just made me love it! The ceiling is beautiful and the tile just brings you back in time

We worked with Shane at Sweet Treats Bakery for our wedding cake. He was so fun to work with and our wedding cake exceeded our expectations. It looked exactly like we wanted to, and was delicious. Highly recommend!

This place has some great food!I got a breakfast item, which they serve all day, and it was very tasty. Eggs cooked to order, bacon, pancakes, etc. I have also tried there sandwiches, chicken tenders, and a few other items. I have liked them all and I would highly recommend this restaurant.Additionally the atmosphere is really quite nice. There are pictures all over the walls of Lexington and the surrounding area, which are very cool to look at during the short wait for your food.The staff are very nice as well, and take great care of you while you are eating.

Stopped here on our way home from The Greenbrier. Our breakfast here was the best meal we had all week! Grabbed a few cookies for the drive home and their double chocolate chip is the best cookie I’ve ever eaten in my life. Will definitely add this little town as a future weekend getaway just to grab another meal here.
