The new dog wash is very, very nice. I thought the station was too low, but then was shown that I could raise and lower it, so I could set it to the perfect height for me. Because of that, this was one of the best and easiest dog bath I've ever given my dog. Previously I've gone to Tractor Supply (various places) but the one in Lexington doesn't have a dog wash, so I was delighted to find this one. $10, they give you every thing you need. I use my own bar shampoo (Wondercide), but they have lots of shampoos, lots of towels, protective apron. Clean and neat. If one had been available, I would have squeegeed the tub walls when we were done. Highly recommend!

Great staff. Adopted 2 dogs over the last 25 years . Both became great family members. We still have Spinner and of course he's spoiled. Thank you Rockbridge SPCA!! Latest update!! I took my father recently to adopt a dog. He can afford to buy a expensive dog, but he wanted to adopt and help the shelter. He was denied! Must have been age discrimination!! Times are changing for the worst!!

Staff: Please show more empathy & kindness.My family’s cat went missing, and we were hopeful when we saw that this SPCA had taken in a cat that looked exactly like our Vivian. I called today to ask a couple questions and see if they could just hold the cat from adoption for the next 30 minutes so that we could get there & look.The woman I spoke with was rude and cold. She told me “no, we don’t hold animals” over and over and over.I understand that this is a policy for all SPCA’s. I am just asking for some empathy & kindness when speaking to people, especially when they have lost a pet dear to them.

Very responsible and professional manager (Karen) and staff. She cares about the animals what homes they are adopted out to. I am in the Roanoke Valley and received a call regarding the potential adoption of an animal from one of my tenants in Roanoke. She provided me with a thorough history of the pet. Very conscientious and on top of procedures. Thank you for doing such an incredible job, caring about the animals, and being so professional!

Rockbridge SPCA is absolutely wonderful and the employees are so great and friendly and they work with you in every scenario and listen to not only the perfect furry friend that your looking for but help you in a rough situation you may be going through! They don't receive enough credit for all of the hard work and time and love and sweat they put into what they do!! Y'all are awesome and keep up the great work!!

They helped me with pet food for my dogs and cats along with a littler pan. Most helpful to me. While waiting I visited the dog's they have up for adoption. Stop by if you are looking to adopt a dog, they have some great ones.

The Rockbridge SPCA is a phenomenal organization. We adopted a dog there two years ago and we’re very pleased. Unlike suburban shelters, they deal with cats, dogs, and much of the Wildlife found in the country. They are very responsible with the resources they receive from the community and care deeply for all animals in their care.

This animal shelter neglects animals and won't allow people to touch them. There are signs everywhere and the animals are screaming for love and nurturing from cages that are barely bigger than them. I plan on contacting the regional spca if something is not done about this asap. I have volunteered at several animal shelters and have never seen this type of treatment to the animals being adopted out. They need socializing not isolation.

Rockbridge SPCA is fortunate to have a dedicated staff that cares for the animals. The cages are appropriately sized for any shelter and yes, sometimes they have so many animals that it is really loud! As a regular volunteer, I know it can be deafening but that is true of any shelter, of which I have seen many. By any SPCA standards, regional or national, it's fantastic. And with funds earned through events and donations, now some of the kennels even have an outside area. Rockbridge SPCA - keep up the great work!! From one who knows, not a casual visitor.

We enrolled our daughter into their SPCA Camp and she loved it... She enjoyed learning about different animals and being able to interact with them, definitely a program all parents should sign their kids up for!

We love the SPCA although it is a little heartbreaking we can't take them all home with us So far all the staff & other volunteers we have encountered have been wonderful!
