Dollar General recently opened this store at Carmel Church in Westmoreland County, Va. The shelves are full of just about anything you can think of. There are over twenty rows of shelves full of stuff. This is the first Dollar General store I've been in an I am impressed. I gave it only four stars because I thought they could do a better job.

They clerk said they were closing in 5 minutes, but they do not usually close until 10pm the clerk seemed to be rushing us. They also said the restrooms were broke down, but I had personally used it an hr before this occurrence when I was previously shopping and had no issues. Suddenly an hr later when my elderly father had to use it it was broke. I believe the workers were closing early to their own benefit and lying to us to make their shift easier. Will not be going to this dollar store anymore. Plenty of other ones around here that actually stick to their schedule and help their customers.

Wonderful to have a store close by so you dont have to drive 30 mins to get the necessities or something quick. There is a lot of theft and people need to stop stealing all the product and leaving the packaging on the clearance aisle. You find more opened items than closed ones. They also need to organize a bit better. Good selection as far as a Dollar General goes.

standard dollar general, seems like they are always understaffed except on delivery day, then its people everywhere. generally nice and pleasant. sometimes lines can be held up by locals telling long drawn out stories about their relatives and what numbers they played that day...happens often. just have to accep it as part of the blink-town lifestyle.

It's close to home so very convenient. Stocked on the things I needed so it was a good trip. If you need paper products, Friday is the day to get them. Get there early🐸😀

The lady's that work at this particular DG are always nice and always have a smile on their face. So it makes going there very pleasant as you are always greeted with a hello and a smile.The layout of the store is in traditional DG store format. The aisles are narrow, but they have a bit of everything. As well, they have quite a nice medication and general toiletries aisles. Also, if you are in a pinch for HDMI cables, you don't have to worry about heading to Wal Mart as they even have those.It's a good store and is what was needed for the little area out here.

Hague,VA & Callao,VA both lost their super markets. This Dollar General is between the two and although it is not huge, it does have a good assortment of the basics. Staff are helpful & friendly even though the recently the non-masked Covid loving fools have been SCREAMING at them.

It is the junkiest store and and everything is just thrown everywhere. They have some nice things, if, you can find them under the mess. It really needs some help!

Quick, easy way to pick up just a couple of items. Wide variety of items. Tends to be in disarray because of too few employees working at a time.

It's a good thing this store is close the employees are rude the store is a mess and you should not walk into a store and feel some type of way bringing your kids inside with you because of the music they have playing
