Great place to go for special items not found in most ordinary stores. There's a vast array of needed items and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The paint department is extensive and unique but expect to pay a bit more. They also know local workers they might suggest to help with your projects..

I have a great experience here every time. We are working on a project and have been coming here for supplies. Some days I am in there several times a day. Everyone is friendly and help me find everything on the list to get me in and out. They offer to take bags out as needed. They ordinated with each on ear pieces to get other supplies ready in different departments. I have been very grateful for their help!

Always good to shop local, I think. It was a little weird for me since mandatory masking was partially lifted. I wore my mask as I have and will continue to do, but others in the store didn't which made me uncomfortable. Regardless, staff WAS masked and as usual, were very helpful and kind. Great shop with lots of different stuff to look at. Just wish they'd start selling flowers again. Oh well. Shop local when you can, y'all. Be well.

Typically, I love Ace Hardware stores, but this one is the worst. In addition to basically having to beg the workers to pause their side conversations to answer customer questions and give support, they use their store to promote their preferred politician. The paint counter in the back has really ignorant and hateful political signs all over the register. Why? Hardware had absolutely nothing to do with politics. Also, you can get everything in the store at lower prices elsewhere in Kilmarnock and the surrounding area.

Expensive. Less than helpful staff. Only good as a last resort. Southern states or tractor supply are far better locally. Get ready to pay 50-75% more than box stores. If you have multiple items needed, bite the bullet and drive to Gloucester.

Ordered a saw part on Friday. Was told it would be in stock Monday. Went to pick it up Wednesday. Was told that it wasn't in stick but had been ordered when it didn't arrive Monday. Was advised that it would be in Monday. I checked Monday after work and part wasn't in nor did I get a call back. Checked today and found part wasn't ordered until Wednesday.This indicates a pattern of dishonesty and poor follow up. I'd advise anyone needing parts to get them elsewhere.I will be speaking with the manager or owner about this next time I see them.

Always great service. You can pretty much bet that they have what you need and if they dont have it they can point you in the right direction go get it. Ive rented their equipment, and bought many things from them. Definitely recommend them for any do it yourself projects.

This place has everything! Fab lawn flags, great greeting cards and any kind of hardware needed. Also, the employees are so very helpful -- they can show u where ANYTHING is in this large store.

In my opinion and only my opinion, the staff is not knowledgeable of the products they are selling. When I call them for an item, they tell me we don't have it or check out Wal-Mart. Farm an Home is better and Wal-Mart cheaper and friendlier. Not a paid reviewer. Not your friendly Ace hardware man or woman.

Father-in-law wanted a pocket knife for grandson's gift. Only the display model was available. Staff found a perfect tin to out it in. Perfect. Never met such nice folks! Merry Christmas!

Friendly local hardware store. Its not huge, but people are always willing to help you find what you need and I'm sure they can order whatever they can't find. It's the only one it town, but it's still a great place.

Was looking for a gallon of quality marine varnish. Other hardware stores, including home depot in Gloucester had zero interest, even though they carried the brand I was looking for. Debbie found me a better varnish, ordered it, and had it delivered to thier store within two days. And $15 bucks cheaper than Amazon. That gallon, by the way was still cheaper than a quart from West Marine. Hard to beat that around here.

Friendly staff. They know where every item is. Good selection of fasteners in metric and sae, including odd fasteners. Marine supply, including custom cordage. My favorite hardware store.
