Sometimes I wish this rating scale was more flexible. The only reason this winery wasn't a 5 star review is they still do flights so tasting all that's available is difficult and while they grow the grapes there all the processing, aging, and bottling is done at another winery. We were able to try a total of six wines; 4 red, 1 rosé and 1 white. None of the wines were really dry (I liked) and their Rose was our favorite. This place does have great indoor/outdoor seating with the indoor part having one of the more unique styles of decor that I've seen at a winery. They also have a good menu and although we didn't eat there the food choices varied enough for snacking up to a full meal. Anyway my only complaint is this place is not close enough to my house.

This was definitely a unique experience. Excellent customer service! There were a few bumps in the road, but I loved how the team worked together to sort it out to make it an outstanding experience for my family. Very cool decor and ambiance. The food menu was delightful with sandwich options, fruits, and charcuterie boards. The wine was superb. My favorite white wine was the Petit Manseng. It was semi-sweet with citrus undertones. Definitely recommend trying it, if you love white wines. I wasn't impressed with their Chardonnay.The winery offers indoor and outdoor seating. Make reservations to ensure you have a great experience. The outdoors didn't offer much mountain views, but it was relaxing and enjoyable, especially with the live music. There is an area where the kids can hangout and play games. It was great! This is a nice relaxing vineyard to visit with family or friends.

If you are looking for a unique winery experience in a beautiful setting with delicious food, this is the place for you. Highly recommend reserving a special table or going all out for the safari vineyard wine and lunch tour - Chris and his hosting skills do not disappoint!!!! Virginia has A LOT of great wine. You’ll never be able to see and taste it all on one trip. But you should absolutely put this place at the top of your priority 1, must-do list!

Visited here recently on a weekend trip from Georgia with my future in-laws and family. The food and wine were delicious and decently portioned for our group of six. The real highlight for the women of the group was the charming and eclectic interior - I never thought taxidermy could be so whimsical. Of the three vineyards we visited, this was by far my favorite and I highly recommend to those visiting.

This place is visually stunning. Definitely unique aesthetics which makes this place beautiful. It was a little confusing walking in as the staff wasn't the most helpful. We were seated at a table and tried the seasonal sangria and also a pre-determined tasting. Wine was ok, nothing too memorable but i would likely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful space, staff were incredible and friendly. We did a tasting and loved everything we had- ended up joining their wine club. Can’t wait to come back when the weather is nice and they have live music outside.

Went here the other weekend for a bachelorette excursion! We sat outside at the long table and the staff built a fire for us. It smelled great! I got the flight and the wilted kale salad for lunch. So good!! Many thanks to the staff who accomodated us and the delicious food & drink.

Came with a friend on a Friday afternoon and had the BEST time. The interior design is whimsical and wonderful and really sets the stage for a good time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Though this young winery is not yet serving wines from their own vineyard, the True Heritage wines they are serving are lovely. We enjoyed a small charcuterie board and chicken salad platter with our wines. Both were yummy. The ambiance here is unmatched. Highly recommend for a nice afternoon out or even for a small event.

Stopped here on the tail end of a road trip. We got in right about when the kitchen was closing (maybe even a couple minutes late) and they were so happy to serve us anyway. The wine was yummy, atmosphere wonderful, and I cannot emphasize enough how nice every single staff member was. They welcomed our dogs and were worried when the only dog bowl they had left clean might be too small (the dogs didn’t care). Highly recommend an ice cream sandwich before you leave. We will absolutely be back and can’t wait to share such a great, quirky find (the decor is so fun)!

My boyfriend and I stopped here to kick off a weekend in Charlottesville; the outdoor area is beautiful and fun and we enjoyed the flight as well as a couple of individual glasses of wine. The sandwiches were fantastic (particularly the merrie mill local) and the charcuterie for 2 was a great size. The pizza we could take or leave, but our server Christy (Kristy?) was phenomenal and attentive during a clearly slammed afternoon. She was regularly topping us off with waters and even gave us some food recommendations for the rest of the weekend. We haven’t explored a ton of the wineries around the area but this one was a great afternoon.

I went here for a bachelorette party and absolutely loved it! We were able to reserve a private tent that seated 10 of us comfortably, and the staff was extremely accommodating and attentive to our group. The decor was so eclectic and interesting and I had a lot of fun just exploring the inside. There were plenty of spaces, indoor and out that were very unique. We spent several hours here and were occupied and excited the entire time. The wine itself was tasty & refreshing and the ice cream sandwiches were a great snack. Highly recommend checking out this one of kind place!

Cute & quaint winery. The taxidermy at the bar was cool. Highly recommend reserving at table. The waitstaff were very nice and accommodating. The Divina chili fig sauce is absolutely amazing. I ended up buying a jar to take home. Will be back

Merrie Mill was the last stop on our wine tour and we had an absolute blast. They sat our party of 10 upstairs under the covered patio. There was a ceiling fan to keep us cool on a warm humid day. Robert helped us and he was amazing. Always ready with suggestions, and knew the menu very well. The wine flights were amazing and provided lots of options. The bread and charcuterie were very good and worth the price. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely fantastic tasting. We sat fireside, tried their tasting flight, talked extensively with the employees and had the BEST time. What a great way to spend a rainy, cold Sunday. Shoutout to Elbie and Robert for excellent hospitality. We will be back!

Wine was good. The selection was not very large and you can’t choose the wines in the flight but I did enjoy the ones chosen. I did not, however, enjoy the whole body of a dead seal suspended from the ceiling with pink ribbons and balloons. It was probably the creepiest and most unsettling thing I’ve seen in a long time. I could live with the zebra head but the seal was just too much. I couldn’t go back because of it.

My Daughter was married here. We chose Merrie Mill because it is such a whimsical, magical place. Unfortunately Tropical Storm Ophelia showed up as an uninvited guest. The staff executed the inclimate weather plan flawlessly! The wedding and reception were beautiful and lots of fun. Merrie Mills staff all seem to enjoy working there and making our experience special! Oh, and by the way, their wine is great also:)

Great winery! Just a 2 hour drive from Northern Virginia with some really great views and AMAZING decor! Ask about the sea lion to get a fun story to go with the experience!

This is a beautiful location. We had a reservation for 14 and sat outside at a beautiful covered area. Food was amazing and so was the wine. I highly suggest getting an ice cream sandwich. Service was wonderful and everyone was friendly. This is a place you have to visit.

Nice new hidden gem in the Keswick area. Currently doing wine and small plates. Consider it a “Mt Ida Jr”! We liked it alot and know it will be popular soon! Decor is whimsical and well thought out.

Such a cute winery! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff went above and beyond, even offering to take photos of our group in multiple locations inside and outside the winery. I'm a big fan of their merlot and bought a bottle to go. Their wine prices were very reasonable. It was a great start to our winery weekend!
