I was stranded at the top of a mountain 20 minutes away from here with one bar of cell service and called here in hopes that they would be open. Roy answered, and while they would not be open by the time I found a tow service through roadside assistance, he gave me the number to a good local tow service and hotels. While I was still figuring out what to do, he actually called me back saying that his son just so happened to be driving through the mountain and could take a look at my car. His son DID ARRIVE and not only did he look over the car and said it looked okay to drive, but he ALSO took the time to teach me a certain way to drive my car to avoid the issue happening again. This was essentially a GODSEND because my home was 2.5 hours away. Made it home safe and sound and if for some reason I ever end up broken down in Bath County again, I know where I'm going.

I'm from Indiana and I drive all the way over to let Burns handle my baby. Shelia was a farm truck when I got her and she is now and was looking like she was on her last leg but to the efforts of this awesome Auto Repair she lives on and fiercely for an affordable price. My 2020 SUV has all the latest electronics. Except when we’re in Bath Co, Va, it won’t start, there are nine! error codes and the emergency brake is locked on.My dealer is 1.5 hrs away and did all they could on the phone for this warranty problem. I called the manufacturer’s road assistance line who asked me if I was safe several times but could not find a tow anywhere in their warranty network.Having had a great experience with our local Burns Auto Repair in the past, I called them for help.About an hour later, Austin Burns stopped by my house with a scanner to release the brakes and referred me to Jerry’s Wrecker Service here in the county who called me and said he’ll get it to the dealer before lunch tomorrow.Austin and Jerry represent the best of personal and professional services in the rural parts of America. I highly recommend them if your technology gets away from you.

Burns Auto Repair - (Roy and Sarah) Guardian angels for this cross country traveler! These are just salt-of-the-earth good honest people. In my circumstance, Roy went above and beyond to help this stranded traveler. Being the only tire repair business open at the time of my issue, I called knowing that they would be closing soon. I only wanted to see if I could get some information on a place that would be open to help me out, so I could continue my drive to my destination and not be a stranded motorist until the morning. Roy not only returned my call, but he also was very kind and stayed after closing allowing me to drive to them the 36 minutes from where I had pulled over. (My tire was still holding pressure even with a bolt puncturing the tire!) Upon arrival, he had me in, the tire patched up and back on my way in NO TIME! He even checked over my car to make sure I looked safe with fluids, etc for the rest of my drive. Because of their kindness and above expectation customer service...I was not delayed in my arrival and made my destination in plenty of time! I would highly recommend bringing your business to them! I recently had tires mounted and balanced and a front end alignment. This was by far the best garage experience I have ever had. They were very accommodating getting my car right in and when I picked it up they took the time to talk to me and explain what was done. The staff was so efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. They do an excellent job on repairs but are especially good at maintaining our 5 cars. I can trust that when my wife or one of the boys takes a car it will be in safe and good mechanical shape. They are good with telling us about necessary upcoming repairs before we have troubles. I strongly recommend them for people who are somewhat mechanically illiterate. They are not cheap but their services are priced fairly.

Great experience with them. I simply stopped in one morning for a tire pressure light that came on before a trip. Not only did they do a thorough job of making sure the tire was safe they also found out why my car was do loud. They ended up fixing the other problem as well and my car sounds brand new. They were great to work with and even assisted me in rides to where I needed to go.

Our daughter recently moved to Hot Springs and had an issue with her car not starting. Being new to the area we relied on several recommendations to take her car to Burns Auto and we are so happy we did! Shelton Burns was amazing!! My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Burns Auto Repair since we moved to Bath County in 2016. We've been able to get to know the Burns family and trust them with our vehicles. You know they aren't going to do unnecessary work and they always talk to you first before doing anything that's needed. They're wonderful people, they do great work, and they'll get your vehicle in and out. They've even gone above and beyond and brought a battery to our home for my husband's truck!! I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander with 312, 000 miles on it. Thanks to the Burns family it just keeps running like new. I highly recommend these guys. They do great work at reasonable prices.

Highly recommend this honest business. We arrived with our camper van’s check engine light going off, mentally prepared for the worst. The mechanic ran some checks on our van, and located the source of the issues quickly. He explained that the issues were sensor / computer based, and that he would clear the error codes. He then gave us some pointers on red flags to look out for, on the off chance that the errors were symptomatic of other issues with the van. When we tried to pay him, he refused our money!! We are so grateful for the help we received. It’s too bad we didn’t catch the mechanic’s name. If he’s reading this — big thank you from the couple with the RAM Promaster and the small dog that wouldn’t stop barking!
