Birgess Rd. Location: Last week I had to return my $10.00 Bacon and $5.00 package of sausage because its expiration date was in April 2024. It was inconvenient !They assured me that the meat section would be looked over and outdated meat would be disposed of. LIE!Why do I say this? Bc I ordered my food for delivery. It all just arrived! The Bacon was dated April 16, 2024. Now, I have ti deal with again bc the employees just don't care and/ or they are incompetent! Maybe I need to discuss this with the health department. I'm so done with walmart. I would've given them a 0 rating but that wasn't an option. Now, Imagine if I didn't check that date and my son and I had eaten it!!! I'm so inflamed.

Was just asked for my receipt by a woman that was standing there watching me ring up my one item! No one will actually care or do anything but laugh at all the reviews.....but the rest of us see the lack of morals, from the employees as well as the company. Great job Walmart..... losing customers left and right then blame thieves for the losses. No one is fooled.

Check gift cards you purchase. My wife bought several $15 gift cards for the holidays. 1 rang up as $115. The cashier said she fixed it and my wife saw $15 on the screen that she authorized. Turns out we got charged $115 and $115 was put on the card. We went back to the store to get $100 back and they couldn't do it. It was ridiculous. Long story short: we went back the next day and a manager refunded the money for us. If this happens to you, don't give up.

Needed assistance at jewelry counter. Waited 10 minutes walked to front of store asked for assistance they said will page someone; waited another 15 minutes at the jewelry counter and no one came to assist me. This is my 1st and will be my last time coming to this location.

There is one employee in Wal-Mart in the electronics section, a small girl with glasses I didn't catch her name, who is exceptional and great at customer service and her department. That being said she is a single beacon of light in a store where all of the other employees could be dead and the shopping experience wouldn't have a noticeable change to any customer in the store. The only registers open with green lights were roped off. No one is available to help customer's but once you check yourself out once you find an actual open station they have to check your receipt so they can check the accuracy of the job you did for them.

I found my merchandise fairly quickly, but I spent longer in a line that was backed up into the aisle, than I did walking around the store. Until Walmart brings back extra staffing, especially cashiers, I will shop elsewhere, even if I have to pay more.

Literally shop anywhere else. The pushed out my pick up and then cancelled it after I arrived. The meat section wasn’t properly cooled so the sausage and bacon was bad. It was literally raining inside. Plus despite long lines they did little to help speed things along.

Old black woman in the deli tried her best to ignore me. I stood there and waited patiently for 10 minutes before she acknowledged me.. When she did,she was very rude and hateful about getting me what I needed.. It took her all of 5 minutes to get my deli meat..It is her job. Need new staff in the deli that are polite to the customers.. I never came off as rude to her, even though maybe I should have.

2nd time in the past month that I have abandoned my cart after completing all of my shopping because either there are no registers open or one with a line 10-deep. People don’t want to put an entire cart through self checkout. At least I don’t, so I will take my business elsewhere.

There is so much wrong in this store (Burgess Rd, Harrisonburg, VA) that I could write a book...but I will try to keep it short. (And no...I am not an employee), but I do have family and friends that either work for or shop at this location. The management in this store doesn't care about the safety of the customers or employees. I have found safety issues that have been reported numerous times by different employees. One of those is a trip hazzard at the lawn and garden section, where my 74 yr old mom did in fact trip over and won a trip to the ED in an ambulance. That was in September and they have yet to fix the issue completely. I have spoken to management repeatedly after that incident and all they seem to do is place blame on maintenance, assure me it's getting done, and apologize for something they know they are going to continue to ignore. As management they should have made it a priority to have had that issue fixed when their employees kept bringing it to their attention. It was an injury that could have been, and should have been, prevented! I also called to management's attention the fact that there is a broken baby changing table in the back bathroom...and they still have it in use rather than locking it out and putting an "out of order" sign on it. Tells you what they think of your babies that you bring into the store with you! We've also had issues with store deliveries not getting to the correct address and this last time they didn't get delivered at all until the next day and multiple calls, again to management. He was supposed to give us a gift card in the amount of out order cost. I ended up with a card with no monetary value at all when trying to use it...so AGAIN I had to contact management. Not a happy Walmart customer at the moment.

Only a few registers open....lines backed up into the aisle. It's pretty bad when it takes longer to pay for your merchandise than it did to shop for it. Self checkout needs to go. Walmart doesn't pay me to check out and bag my own merchandise! There were numerous people complaining about not enough registers open.

ATTN: If you're a night person and you need to grab milk at the last min before work I wouldn't recommend going to this walmart!!If when you go to Walmart and it says you open at 6am and close at 11pm than you should allow customers to enter the establishment to grab what they need. It should say 6am to 10:50 pm! Worst Walmart I've been to and probably only one that closes at 10:50pm! I wouldn't recommend going to this one if you need something.

Horrible Walmart all the way around. Wanted some cologne from the locked cabinet spoke to 4 different employees who said they couldn’t help me but would get someone. Needless to say 30 minutes no help. Asked a 5th person and they said oh I’ll try but not my job so good luck. Never had such a bad experience just trying to buy someone. Manager should be ashamed.

Before checking into my resort for the week, we stopped at the Super Walmart which is located 15 minutes from where we are staying. Full supermarket to go along with the normal Walmart items. The building is huge, could be a little cleaner and updated. This Walmart has a gas station across the street which is cheaper than any of the regular gas stations.

Great customer service experience because of Tammie (manager). Thank you for all your help with my Apple gift card. The outcome of the gift card is: The customer has to call the number on Apple Card. The representative will walk you through the process. It can take up to six days to get your new gift card numbers. The representative will have to call you to give it to you. They will not send it through email. Long process, so better off to just be safe and order your gift card through your Apple device so there will be no issues. Walmart is just one of the companies who sell the Apple Cards. They can’t fix problems with the cards. Only Apple customer support can do that.

OTR Owner Operator Truck Driver Since 2003. The Kraken. Ok so This Walmart is snuggled in a Very large shopping center with alot of different options as far as stores go. There is Walmart and Home Depot on one side of the Parking lot and on the other side a ton of other options such as restaurants, Staples, Ross, est Buy Petco and others. Nlw to get in here and park semis well there are signs posted no parking over night but we'll you know at times we do. Bob tail is no problem moving around in here and if your pulling a trailer look at Google maps and use the truck route in for delivery. Inside of the Walmart the shelves were not very well stocked, could have been much cleaner and was very congested. Bathrooms where a wreak. Everyone as far as the staff goes was very friendly and helpful when asked. Parking lot also could have been cleaner but it's a very large shopping center with multiple stores so. Thanks 😊

All the VA Walmarts I shopped at Timberville, Woodstock and Harrisonburg have been very good except Harrisonburg does not fill the 74/98 cent recycleable bags at cashout counters and all have a Gardening department problem, they are selling "dead" plastic wrapped Blackberry plants!

I mean it’s Walmart the day after Christmas. People looking for deals, employees cleaning up. Neomi in electronics was helping & friendly But what’s up with Terry doing returns or something, what a foul attitude. He almost hit me with his cart not so much as an excuse me.We are in town on vacation & he has been the only person that was Rude.

The reciept checker Dawn at the doors clearly profiled people of color to check reciepts. My wife and i watched as she checked every single person of colors reciept and none of the white people. Had a line of 6 people waiting to show reciepts, 4 were people of color and 2 white. The white people were ushered through without hesitation while EVERY SINGLE person of color was checked. One woman was forced to stop for TWO items and she picked the items up to compare to the item number on reciept but a young white girl walks out with a carton of eggs in her hand and not even a flinch. It was so obvious and then when i complain, i get told to calm down. I have called over 100 times and no one from this store will answer the phones. This needs to be investigated because im sure its not the first time this happened. The store manager, Jose Matos, was supposed to call me back after an "investigation" by their ethics team and i seriously doubt anything will come of it.

Not only did 5 of your associates tell me they don't speak English when I asked for help finding an item at this store location, but the ladies working at the customer service center told me walmart doesn't cash payroll checks???? Since when?

The employees think the are security guards. Doesn't matter if who you are they follow you around and constantly make it uncomfortable. 100 employees worried about someone stealing a candy bar and 2 actually working and only 1 of them is at the register. go to Staunton or Woodstock Wal mart where they aren't complete tools!!!

If you enjoy being treated like a theif by the customer greeter(Maggie) and then have your items that are bagged inspect then she tries to prevent you from leaving this is the place to go

My experience was all over the map. I went in to pick up a Walmart-Walmart money transfer(if you ever need to send or receive money this is something you should really look in to. Definitely something Walmart should be applauded for) and was told at first that she was going on lunch and I could go to CVS to get my money transfer which I found to be odd since it was a Walmart-Walmart transfer. After a couple minutes I could see the elevator lights reach the top floor and she realized where she was and what she was doing and things went smoothly after that. I walked around for a few minutes and asked several employees pretty random questions about item locations and availabilities and was always greeted with a smile and led to the location where the product was. Great customer service Walmart, thank you to everyone that helped me!!!

This Walmart was a very busy store. Waited in line behind some folks who must not be from this country as the checkout was held up for twenty five minutes while they tried to juggle four different cards. The cashier was very patient. Most trips to Walmart, no matter the state, are pretty much the same. If you don't have patience, find another store.
