I was a little iffy on going here because some of these reviews are scary. However, I gave them a try today and can honestly say Dr. Breeding and her staff were amazing with our Dolly. She answered all of my questions and put a lot of my worry at ease. She performed the most thorough exam I've ever seen done on an animal. She certainly gave me peace of mind that our girl is absolutely perfect. I wanted to leave this review in case someone else may be on the fence about going here due to the bad reviews.

They were great with my frisky teenager kittens spaying and hernia repair, reasonably priced, compassionate, very clean office and waiting area, the nurse explained everything about the procedure. highly recommend.

Please take your animals elsewhere. We were not allowed in the office due to Covid regulations. We took our cat here for a simple fur coat trim up. A shot was given to our cat without permission. They did no evaluation to see if the shot was even safe for the cat. Two days later, our cat passed away at an overnight emergency vet after we rushed him there. After a few tests, the vet at that emergency office confirmed the shot was the likely cause of death. Please don’t let Dr Breeding see your pets. I believe she was recently married so she may go by a different name now. I spoke with a lawyer on a lawsuit but my state considers pets as “objects”. So the best result would have been paying nothing to the vet and 20 bucks to go to a shelter to get a new cat. Not worth the pain. They got away with it. Prince (our cat) was murdered here but his 10 year memory will always live with us in our hearts.

I decided to go here after a traumatic experience in pikeville, and they have been absolutely amazing to both my furbabies. Anytime I have a issue with my little chihuahua they will squeeze her in. Can it be pricey? Sure, but no more than anywhere else really not for quality care. They always help with the medications I need for both my babies. And if I cannot make an appointment for personal reasons but still need meds around their yearly checkup they will still help, because they care. :)

Horrible customer service and communication skills by the front end and the veterinarian. They gave my Mother unnecessary stress and heartache, over false accusations against her just because they were stressed and all she was doing was checking in on her fur baby. Definitely don’t recommend going.

Lied about giving me the option to let my dog stay the night sent him home yesterday evening with 1000 dollars worth of meds n food doesn't make sense after the emotional wreck I was the hours I was there why I wouldn't find a way to get 500 for them to keep him ..because the option was never offered EVER for him to stay the night had to have a co signer before they would see my dog my dog died with parvo this morning and then thet came up with a fabricated story bc my dog staying was never an option they gave me

This place literally saw we had a dog they could sell for big bucks and told us a ridiculous amount of money to save our dog and told us to either pay 4500 or let her die. But that they had a charity who would pay for her surgery only thing was in order for them to help us we had to give our dog up. We of course did give her up so they would save her. She was a member of our family and we couldn't just be selfish and heartless and just let her die. And the charity wasn't willing to help unless we gave them our dog!

When this place first went in I was denied to get my dogs nails clipped unless they were the ones to give vaccinations. Didn't matter I offered to contact the other vet to fax the paperwork. This place is so over priced it's ridiculous.Save your money and go to Pikeville for a vet that is just as good and doesn't price gouge.

I was scared of some other reviews about taking my kitten here. I’m glad I did! The whole staff is extremely professional and nice. The vet put all my worries to ease while telling the truth about the issues we were having. She came up with a treatment plan that worked!We also got Sake (my cat) spayed here. Small superficial site and within 10(ish) days it was fully healed with no issues.My only complaint is that I want to be in the room with my cat. I don’t like waiting in the car away from her.

We recently moved here from western Kentucky and adopted a puppy from an individual in Prater. We tried to find a local vet because we have two parrots, a couple of cats, and two dogs. We needed to get our puppy examined, vaccinated, and wormed back in March, but couldn't find any Vet open due to Covid shut down. We reached out to this clinic since it was one of only two we could find in the Grundy area. I left messages via email, called for days and no returned calls or response to my email, so we ended up having to worm her ourselves, but no shots. In August our baby got sick and their clinic was open so we luckily got her in to see Ms. Breeding. She confirmed our fear, she had Parvo. We had heard that she only treated small dogs and cats, basically and was a bit high in price, so I was prepared some what for a high price tag to help our puppy. However, I was not prepared for a $1,000.00 to $2,000.00 price tag. We could not afford that, so we were given an option purchase seven days of medications and treat her at home. They showed us how to do the shots and IV fluids, which was very helpful. The other option was to surrender our pet and an outside agency would pay the vet bill, and then adopt her out to another home. I was thankful that we at least had that option because we certainly couldn't afford the first option. We went with the treatment at home. It was touch and go, several days we did not think she was going to pull through, but she did! Eight days later she was standing up, wagging her tail and excited. Very thin, but alive and had pulled through this fatal disease. Her treatment worked! Though the home treatment is not for the faint of heart. It was an experience I hope I never have to repeat. Please people, it is a lot cheaper and certainly a lot better on your dog to pay for an exam and shots before they get ill.We were very pleased with the outcome. The treatment worked and our baby is doing fine now, still trying to get weight back on her, but she is on the road to full recovery. Thanks to Dr. Breeding. She did offer us several options, which I was thankful for, they were professional, clean and gave clear, easy to understand instructions for us to give her the best care we could afford.I gave the clinic a 3 rating simply because her prices are very high and the lack of response and availability during the covid shutdown. I found out that the average cost for five day in hospital treatment is $800.00 back with my Vet back in Kentucky and several others Vets in that area. I did not ask any clinics in this area, since the options are few, so you pretty much have to pay what is being charged. Also, I rated them down because no one called to follow up until the end of the second week. I missed their call, but they did leave me a voice mail.

I have been with these girls for 2 years. I had old dog. I had to put her down. Her body was going down. I really appreciate that the staff and the nurse was there at the time. They help me out with her. They was so nice and support of me. They all cried. But I want to say thank you to her nurse. And thank you staff for being there for me.

Made my first trip to see Dr Breeding today with Alex, our family’s new 8 week old yorkiepoo. My first impression entering the office was how clean it smelled. Most vet offices don’t smell the best usually. I also was surprised at how friendly the staff were. Michelle was great at the reception desk. Erin (I pray I spelled that right) was our nurse. She took really good care of Alex. And Dr Breeding took time to answer a ton of questions I had about our family’s new puppy. This was a great experience for me and the puppy. I’d highly recommend taking your dogs to see Dr Breeding.

I knew something was wrong with my pup. Brought him in twice to have his ears looked at because he kept shaking his head. Twice they told me he had no infection. Should have gone for a second opinion, but they gave me an aloe rinse and said his ears were just dirty. Woke up one day to blood on the bed and his ears filled. Broght him in and they said he had 3 types of infection and needed aggressive treatment to avoid hearing loss. I pointed out we had been there twice and she outright denied it. She later told me I was not welcome back because I didn't "say goodbye" to the front office before leaving. No way would I have gone back. Wildly unprofessional.

I would give zero stars but that's not an option. I took my sookie there six years ago to be fixed and one month later she had to be put down. I took my bella there for same two years later, and she went into septic shock and I had to take her to pikeville for her life to be saved. I took my Cain there for problems walking a month ago and they didnt even do an exam on him, just x-ray and said he had arthritis and hip dysplasia. Didnt do any kind of check up. I found him passed away this morning. One month after being seen there. I will never take another of my babies there. I spoke with another vect tech at a different clinic and she said where his belly was swelled they should have checked his heart, which they didnt. If they would have done there job he could have been put on medication and lived a few more years.

They spayed my girl and they was the best. They come out and got her in the rain out of the truck because she was too heavy for me to carry. They were absolutely great all the way.

Love Dr Rasnake. A few years a go i brought in a puppy that I just had bought and was was very sick. Dr. Rasnake and her staff did every thing they could for my puppy. The puppy is now 3years old and the happiest little girl I know I highly recommend Dr. Rasnake for every vet need. Thanks for saving miss Callie Mae. 💜💜💜💜

Friendly, knowledgeable, and actually care. They kept informed as soon as there was information, they took the time to explain the details and they even gave a next day follow up call. They are so on top of their game that they make you feel at ease that you're in good hands. 10 stars out of 5. :)

MY DOG IS DEAD,because of these people! THEY WROTE THE medicine, my dog went into seizures. We took her to Rowenoak and they put her down. I BURRY my dog today because of them!
