We went here today for lunch and wanted to try something new. This place is a very nice and relaxing restaurant and it even has a nice shopping area connected to it with some modern items.The food here was really good. I had the Turkey club (pictured) and my friend had the Ruben (also pictured). We both enjoyed the food very much. My Club was great!! The flavor that the sandwich had was perfect and I wouldn’t change any of it.We also had the Spinach and Avocado dip (pictured) which was really good as well. The cost on it, IMO, was a little steal at $10 but it was really good.Overall, I will be coming back here to eat again. There are many other things I want to try out.

Been in Virginia off and on for approximately 2 years but just had the pleasure of discovering the Pod this past Friday. I was surprised and delighted by the attitude of the young lady at the counter, the quality of the food and the delicious London Fog hot tea ( we'll keep my mimosa hush hush, but it was awesome also)... I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality quick bite or just a place to sit, sip and chill.I'll definitely be back.

Great find after my son's field trip to Yates Tavern. The Spinach salad was delicious! Friendly staff. Came back for cold brew after my walk. ❤️Kid-friendliness: Reading address with children's books.

The outdoor patio is a must on a warm sunny day. They have a few tables with large umbrellas and it was just peaceful. Went to have coffee with a friend, of course Pumpkin Spice Latte is a traditional early Fall item! We both got different flavored muffins and split them. Afterward we went into the adjacent boutique (Sweet Peas) and they had so many cute items!

Was passing through. On my way back from a trip. Was really just wanting a good cup of coffee. Was told about this place. Checked out the reviews they looked really good. I was very disappointed. In a very simple order. Definitely tired of getting coffee that isn’t made correctly. Ordered a cold brew with a pumpkin cold foam. Clarified no sweetener no cream aside from the flavored foam. When my order came, it looked like a glass of milk. Pumpkin flavored milk. Could not taste any coffee at all. No foam. If you’re into sweet, sugary drinks with a touch of coffee in this place would be fine. But if you’re avid coffee drinker, I would not recommend. But people are nice atmosphere is really pretty the food that other people are even looks great, but the coffee was definitely lacking.

Driving from northern VA to Greensboro, The Pod came up on a coffee search, only minutes off the main highway, in Gretna, I didn't have time to stay, but the menu looks incredible, the space is beautiful and comfortable, sparkling clean, the service was so welcoming and friendly, and my coffee and the house-made pimiento cheese is pure gold. I can't wait to go back with my family.

We back tracked a few miles to support this gem in Gretna - wow, what a wonderful surprise! Just a few minutes off the highway and you will not be disappointed. 5+ Stars from me, well done!Indoor and outdoor seating, super atmosphere with a nice vibe, great coffee and meals on offer, reasonable priced. Staff first class - if you're looking for a boutique style coffee and cafe, look no further.

Driving from Charlotte to DC and desperate for a good coffee and healthy lunch, we avoided the McDonald’s and Subway’s on route 29 and ducked into a small town called Gretna. A quick Google search pointed us to The Pod, which ended up being a foodie oasis on this long drive. High bright ceilings with industrial black pops of color for beautiful modern decor, we were greeted by a friendly team of women behind the counter. The menu included soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfasts - including some delicious coffee and tea options. My cafe mocha was delightful. Simple syrup, oat and almond milk, and even a “plate” of food for your dog on the umbrella’ed patio, shows how thoughtful the owner was in crafting her offerings. Lovely stop that anyone passing through Gretna should come in to enjoy!

Perfect score if you are looking for clean, kind and delicious! Everything looks amazing and tastes amazing! We love this place so much that we booked it for an after hours wedding rehearsal dinner. Everything was perfect. Kate, the owner, was so easy to work with and so accommodating and Kelsey, Laura and Penny served us with such genuine kindness. Thank you all for making our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner so special!❣️

Absolutely wonderful! We had breakfast here on 4/22. We ordered online and it was ready when we arrived. We had a cinnamon roll, two breakfast croissants and a plain bagel. The food was SO good. Service was excellent. We can’t wait to go again when we are in the area. Large parking lot and super nice outside dining area.

Beautiful decor and delicious food. It was a true dilemma to choose what to order. I settled on the turkey sandwich with fig jam and was not disappointed. Also enjoyed the toasties (sliced triangles of tortilla toasted and served warm) with cream cheese and perfectly balanced papper jelly. Will be back.

Ok, I live in Gretna, and I can't believe it took me so long to visit this delightful place. Staff was wonderful and the Chai Latte yummy and the food was delicious ( very awesome chef) I had the chicken and gnocchi soup and my husband had the smash burger I think it was, anyway my husband is hard to please, but he loved the burger! We went Saturday and I went today. Yes, I'm hooked!

I really liked the feeling of the fresh, welcoming, airy space; there is so much light. Outdoor space is also really nice even though the road is close; business 29 isn't all that busy and there is a park like green space on the other side to look at. Food is excellent, coffee is pretty good too. Definitely worth the detour to stop in Gretna on business 29!

My mother and I just ate here after coming down from Franklin County to visit the local strawberry farm. We were greeted when walking into the door. The staff is friendly and the food and coffee is delicious. We will come again when in the area. Thanks for the yummy lunch!

Great staff, good food and atmosphere. A perfect little stop for breakfast or lunch. The pies looked delicious too although we didn’t try them. Next time. Also it has a cute little gift shop attached.

I love The Pod! The Southwest chicken wrap is AMAZING along with the tomato soup. Don't get me started on the Club Salad. They are always going above and beyond for their customers and the napkin quality is awesome. I normally make a mess so having a nice thick napkin is exactly what I need. They always deliver to my work right here in Gretna! I recommend anyone to eat here. The food is definitely worth the price.
