I have been doing business with Ricky for about three years now and the only regret I have is that I didn't find him sooner, first off he is one great guy, it seems he wants to help people more than make a living, he is very helpful and very fair priced and a excellent mechanic, he will always get my business. Love the cat's.

Great place to get muffler work. The owner was busy, but was the only location that would take my car at short notice. Very quick weld. Would absolutely recommend going here for any muffler issues.

PLEASE READ!!! To start with.. my sister was actually the one who had this experience but she's not one to write reviews so I'm going to do it for her. In October 2018 we were heading back to Ohio from Florida from my niece's wedding (my sister's daughter) and about halfway through North Carolina her transmission started acting up.. not a good thing when it's three women and a 9 year old little girl. Our brother and 20 year old nephew were about 2 hours behind us so we weren't really seriously worried about being stranded but there wasn't enough room in their car for all 4 of us either. We crossed the Virginia state line and got off at the first exit after calling to tell our follow car that we were waiting for them there and why.They got there and checked the fluid although we had already added transmission fluid and it had leaked/burned out. We were going to try limping up the road and as we were pulling out of the parking lot the transmission just EXPLODED.We had no choice but to leave it there since it was a Saturday evening and NOTHING was open but the convenience stores. My husband came from Ohio (6 ½ hours away) to pick us up.My sister called around on Monday to see if she could find a shop to repair the car and she found Ricky's. She explained that she was unable to come right back down having spent her savings on her daughter's wedding and the trip. Rick agreed to do the work on the car and hold it until she could get back down to pick it up.She stayed in constant contact with him over the next weeks that unfortunately turned into months... Almost 4 to the day...Today... 4 months and 1 day later she had the money, time off work and a ride to Virginia (my husband and I) to pick up her car. Wouldn't you know it.. Rick isn't open on Saturdays.Rick graciously agreed to come in on his day off for us to come down and pick up her car. He met us at his shop, was very nice and most importantly didn't charge an arm, leg and my sister's first born for the repairs like some out of state mechanics might have done.PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS!

Very honest men. I have only experience with Andy and Ricky. Have been the family mechanics for years. $35 an hour for a mechanic fee cannot be beat by most places. Always did me right and I am sure they will do the same for you

Bought a battery from him he had to order it 3 times and it still is the wrong one the so called .Tech couldn't get it to fit and had to put a plate of steel under the battery to get it to fit and could not get the battery cover back on because its still the wrong battery. Had tires put on their they could not spin balance them. Had them to put a control arm on after they put it on I was then notified that they do not have a alignment machine so their for I would need to take it some were esle to get that done.one time I was their waiting and that guy that works in the garage was racing the customer car up and down the road acting all crazy like he was on drugs couldn't talk and looked like his eye balls was going to pop out of his head (on something) good luck if u take your car here because it will get the dog shut ran out of and be half way fixed

I never leave dissatisfied. The repairs or parts are excellent and prices are great.The work is high quality and I never worry about it being done right the first time. I would never go anywhere else for service on my cars!!

I stopped near fancy gap to spend the night on my way back from vacation. When I got out I noticed my muffler had become detached from my exhaust pipe which explained why my car sounded louder when accelerating about 200 miles into my trip . This was on a Saturday night and obviously no car repair places were open. Unfortunately, no car repair places in the area were open on Sunday either.I extended my hotel stay and began research on car repair shops in the area. Ricky's Muffler & Auto Repair came up with 5 stars. I found some other places but I put Ricky's at the top of my list because of the reviews and the fact that they clearly specialized in mufflers. I called on Monday morning and talked to Ricky who told me to bring it in around 10 am. I arrived at the shop at about 9:40 am just to make sure I could check in and give them any information they needed.Upon arriving I felt like I was transported back in time. The shop is off of an old country road with a farm across the street. There were a bunch of cars in the parking area in various states of disrepair. Cats scampered across the lot to the waiting room inside. I parked my car in what seemed to be an open space but I couldn't tell because it was all gravel and there was seemingly no organization to the lot.I went inside to the waiting area and noticed that it was filled with old junk. Old car and computer parts were strewn about. An old threadbare couch was facing the window and its matching chair held an older lady reading a magazine. Cat bowls on the floor held food and water for the cats I had seen outside. No one was behind the ancient Dell computer but I heard work being done in the garage that you could see into from the waiting area.A few minutes later Ricky himself came in and looked at me. He didn't say anything so I explained that I was the one who called about my muffler. He said he would see what he could do then went back into the shop. I took this as an invitation to sit on the couch from a bygone age. As I waited various people dropped by talking to Ricky like he was an old family friend. Some looked to be suppliers and some looked to be customers. One asked Ricky about a tire that he needed and Ricky told him that it was in the back of his truck and he would drop it off at his house later. This was truly a different world.At around 10:05 am one of the mechanics came in and asked me if I was the one who had the muffler problem. I told him yes and he said that he would get it up on the rack and see what they could do. I handed him my keys and he proceeded to pull the car in and lift it up. I chatted with the lady in the chair as my car was being elevated and she told me that she had lost a tire and rode the car on its rim to the shop. She assured me that this shop was a great place to get car repairs.I looked through the window connecting the lobby to the garage and saw the mechanic take out a power saw and begin cutting into my tail pipe. He didn't ask me anything he just started his work with the confidence of a man who had done this thousands of times. As I watched another mechanic came in and updated the lady on her car repair. He then asked me if I was the one with the New York license plates. I told him that I was and he said that he was originally from New York as well. We chatted for a bit and before I knew it my car was done. The mechanic working on it had sawed off the rusted out brackets and welded a piece of pipe to connect the exhaust to the muffler. From what I could see he had done solid work on it.Ricky came inside and told me that I was all set. He got behind the weathered computer and totaled up my bill. My jaw dropped as he told me it was 40 dollars! I gladly paid the bill and thanked my saviors profusely as I walked out to my now fully functional car. I bid everyone farewell as I continued my journey. It was 10:30 am. The whole repair process took less than 30 minutes! It was as if I was in a movie and the whole event was scripted to take place smoothly and efficiently.Thank you Ricky and your team!
