They came out to meet me when I pulled up and were kind and helpful about places nearby. I stayed in the motel section, which was a long building that had four rooms. The full bed was comfortable, the room was small but had a couch, microwave, fridge. The water was good. Clean and cozy. Beautiful surroundings; there is a trail out back but it had rained so I didn't indulge. I stayed September 2023. Would love to go back again when I travel down south.

Off-season "winter" camping rate of $25/night for electric & sewer (water shut-off for season) I'd an incredible bargain. I was greeted by owner upon entrance and he provided me with all I needed to know about facilities. Even though the hiking trail was a bit overgrown (off-season?) it gave me and my dogs a good workout, especially coming back up the hill! Will definitely return when I'm traveling Blue Ridge Parkway again.

Perfect place to stay on the Blue Ridge Parkway. They were extremely nice to accommodate us during their down time. It is clean, well kept and they encourage you to visit the local stores and restaurants. Thank you for this great stay!Nearby activities: They are right on the Blue Ridge Trail!

Nice place and beautiful area. Heading home from Florida so this was a one night stay for us, Easy in/out site. Owners were very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

We have stayed here at least a dozen times over the years. We travel to Georgia quite often and love this place. It's roughly half way to our destination so it's perfect. We bring our hound dog, actually we are on our second one now, we lost our first one and the owners have been very friendly to them as well. We usually rent between two and four rooms up at the motels. We highly recommend this place.

Met expectations based off the reviews. We like the walk up Motels and look for cleanliness first. Amenities we don't expect a bunch, but I can say they care a lot; clean room, the Coffee Pot very clean - I clean it always prior anyway - cups, every sugar and cream one would want. Micro, mini fridge in room all good. AC and ceiling fan. Bathroom I would just ask for 3 to 4 towels. A lot of us take showers after traveling all day and then again in the morning. Rocking chairs outside every room, fire pits below, view in the evening and morning great of the Parkway. They had Bluegrass live at one of the cabins the night we stayed - very cool sounds over the landscape. My only only feedback would be; 3-4 bath towels, bigger TV, and the parking light on the side of the building a bit bright into the room (#4). Thank you and absolutely would come again and recommend.

This is the nicest campground we have ever stayed at. The area is just beautiful. It was quiet and pleasant. Very neat and clean grounds and clean bath house. We will definitely come again. 😀

Stayed in the ‘motel’ and it was great. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfy. Shower was hot. Owners were friendly and helpful. The only potential negative is that the shared walls are thin, but I had no issues with it during my stay. As their site notes, the road to the motel part is uphill and gravel. We managed on our motorcycles, though I could see inexperienced riders or riders on very heavy bikes having a hard time.

Wonderful!! A+ very well taken care of. Amazing bathrooms/bathhouse CLEAN. Laundry was easy and reasonable. Motel rooms are nicer than pictured. ( parents stayed) our back-in site ( #11 ) was very nice with its own deck . The best spot was #13!!! Ask for it!3 nice pull through spots. Tent area that was well maintained. Walking trails! My 3 corgis were welcomed (all areas were poop free! Yay for responsible pet owners) CYCLISTS BE CAREFUL!! The gravel seemed to be a little difficult to negotiate as one biker fell on the hill.No scooters or carts allowed. Kinda a bummer.. but all and all one of the best places I’ve stayedRight on the BlueRidgeParkway!!

Called ahead because we wouldn’t get there before the office closed and the owner not only left us wood at our campsite but came down to check on us after we got there. Lucked out and got the perfect place for my hammock, sweet campsite and literally right off the parkway I can’t recommend stopping here enough if you’re doing the blue ridge parkway. He was so accommodating and helpful! The bathrooms here are the cleanest campsite bathrooms I’ve ever been in. They are single rooms with showers and toilets and being in them you’d never guess you were at a campsite. I was expecting as usual to see giant bugs all over the place but they are wonderfully tidy and neat !

Great place to stay right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in a cabin. Plenty of room for two with a great view of the sunset. Very quiet area. Everything we needed in the room with a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom is close. The individual bathroom and shower rooms are private and spotlessly clean. Plenty of snacks and other stuff if you need anything or forgot something. Great and caring staff.

Very nice campground right on the BRP. Instead of Men's and Women's rooms, the bathhouse has 8 different clean and functional bathrooms like you find in a home. Very nice! But special kudos to Charles, who runs the place. We broke down while there and he went out of his way to help us get fixed and on the road. Above and beyond anything I would have expected. Always great to run across such nice people.

We stayed a couple nights in our motorhome. It's a small, family run park with RV sites as well as tent camping, cabins a hotel. It's very peaceful and well kept. There are different fruit trees and grassy areas to walk around. There are some trails to explore as well. The trails could use a little clearing but were nice. There was a firepit at the site and was nice to use on a cool evening. They do sell bundles of wood but they are a little pricey in my opinion. It was over $7 a bundle. We arrived about an hour early and they charged an extra $10 for early check in even though the site was open and there were very few people at the park. There is a small pond they are actively trying to clean up. It is obvious they take pride in park and are working to both maintain and improve. We would stay there again.

After my campground got washed out with multiple days of rain we were serriously contemplating a motel stay and stumbled upon this. Man we’re we so lucky! We were able to snag the last cabin and throughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were super nice, the whole place felt safe and it not only looked good, it smelled good. The bed was squeaky but comfortable and the bathhouse was always clean even though the sites were full when we got there. We were able to do short trips to multiple towns and cities for walks and shopping during our 3 days there I gotta say, if I ever find myself around fancy gap we’re definitely staying here!

This place is incredible. The cabin was absolutely perfect for two people and a small dog. It was super clean, and the bathrooms were clean and heated. The cabin’s porch overlooks the parkway - it was great sitting out watching the sunset in the evening. And we were even able to get pizza delivered to our cabin. I can’t wait to go back!

We have been full-time RV years for the past 18 months and this is my first Google review. After 18 months, we felt obligated to share with you this incredible campground! We absolutely loved camping at this campground ! All of the sites are super quiet with all hook ups. Charles, who is the owner and his wife Jen are both fantastic hosts! They go out of their way for you when they don’t even have to. They literally treat you like family which is amazing!I would highly recommend staying here as you will not find a more hospitable host and beautiful campground!

Such a great campground! Really close to the Blue Ridge Music Center. Private clean bathrooms!!! Cozy cabins with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, porch, picnic table, and fire ring where our mom stayed. We appreciate them so much for letting us sleep in our van next to the picnic table/fire ring on the tent side and away from the RVs, since we don't need hook up. ☺ Much quieter over on the tent side I would imagine. Fun picking apples and peaches to to take home too. Thank you guys😀😍

The best way to describe this campground is charming, welcoming and warm! You can really tell that the owners are putting their heart and soul into everything around the camp. The small details really make a difference in my opinion. I arrived to a freshly made bed in an immaculate cabin with two Adirondack chairs on the front porch overlooking the beautiful peach orchard. The cabin came complete with a ceiling fan, a coffee pot with coffee, a microwave and a mini fridge. The bath house was located directly across the road from the cabins, which was the central point of the campground. There were individual bathrooms which were very clean and well maintained. In the morning before checking out the owner told me to make sure to take some peaches and apples with me from the orchards. They encourage guests to help themselves to the fresh fruit free of charge which I thought was very nice. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway. The attention to detail, the beautiful scenery and the friendly staff will definitely bring me back to stay again.
