I had the pleasure of meeting a new male employee at your location off Hwy 52 in Fancy Gap Va today.Delightful young man. Best employee I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in one of your stores. High customer service.I would also like to recommend the two ladies that normally work in your store. They were there this am. They provide excellent customer service. Hope they receive a raise.

A bunch of their coolers have failed and there's no note, it just makes the whole store smell like rotten food. Crazy old lady running the register was having a really loud conversation about racist conspiracy theories with the customer in front of me. Couldn't believe it. Didn't feel safe at this dumpy little store and won't be back.Edit: Decided to try them again a year later. Still smells like rot.

Beyond amazing workers. Grandmother left her wallet. 15 minutes later we returned to find they kept it in a safe to have been stored so that no one could steal it. Way to go to those two female workers!

They had Cheetos that were past the Best By date. That's not the first time I have seen this. I know Best By doesn't mean that they are bad. When you pay full price you should get the freshest possible!! Sooo, Dollar General, when an item is past its date, please offer it at a reduced price like the grocery stores.....

One of the best run and well kept organized Dollar General I have ever been in. Friendly cashiers every shift that I had the pleasure of shopping. They met all my last minute vacation needs. They should train other stores in U.S. Kudos!

Conscience nice helpful people. Only problem is my animals are picky eaters, like what they like and it's never hardly in stock. And if you ask it's like a crime for them to check storage. My animals suffer due to this so gotta drive out of way find it when they could just stock it.

Excellent local store for rural area. Store has dairy, grocery, bread, laundry and many home products. Staff is always friendly. We shop here regularly for those items we need right away and don't want to drive 15-20 minutes away to buy.

Walked in at nearly 9pm Saturday September 7th to be rudely told "we're closing in two minutes". Posted store hours are 10 pm closing time and there were no earlier warnings and no signs posted. The cashier told me it was a new policy just instituted that day.I had several items to buy, but was so rattled by the employee's constant two minute warning to all who entered I left without most of what I needed.It's great that other dollar stores have popped up everywhere. It will be worth a short drive to a different store that is open later. Too bad, since they finally hired some cashiers who smile and actually say THANK YOU when I hand them my money.

The Dollar General store in Fancy Gap, Virginia is an answer to Prayers for many locals. I often shop there. I live in a rural area and sometimes just don't feel like driving to a city for staple items. This store is well located on a main highway, the hours are convenient, the staff is friendly, they have a wide variety of merchandise. I love to support local businesses.

Called ahead to see if they had stakes to hold my kids trampoline down. They said they did so I headed to the store. Couldnt find them so I went through the line and asked the girl for help. She told me what isle, that I had already searched pretty sure with her watching me so I went and looked again. After several minutes of her watching me search on my own I went back through the line to ask her for help again. She told me they were in that isle again. There was nobody in line behind me either time. I'm not gonna beg for help a 3rd time so I just left. im really sorry to have bothered that girl so much. I won't again

To bad we don't have more stores around this up and coming area blue ridge bParkway is close motel s truck stops and interstate so close we need a super Wal-Mart and bigger truck stops !! Dollar General serves a purpose and fills a very nice gap between the large stores such as Walmart super centers to targets the JC Penney's and such and fills a need in your rural communities the outlying areas of your cities places where you do not have to enter into the inner city or deeper into town to get your small needs they fill a very good need and they do it very well

Did a vendor job there three months ago. Compared to the other stores, it is vary unorganized and filthy. The manager said cleaning the restroom was not hear problem. Don't buy food items at this location.

Their sales items are hard to decipher. I actually had to ask how their sales worked. Other than that, they had what I needed that wasn't on sale. Example of sale, their clothes were half off . my item was originally $5. So half would be $2.50. It rang up at $2.62. So how is that half off???? Employees really need to take basic math class. I think that I learned basic math in 1st and 2nd grade

Its basically our Walmart here in Fancy Gap VA. They have a little bit of everything. Friendly employees who are very helpful. They open at 8am an dont close till 10 even on Sundays, it's very convenient.

A bit messy, and customers were the rude ones here, I know just because you come out in public in your pajamas and look like you have no running water is no reason for rudeness. But other wise a good experience.

They need to fire the girls running the register. If there not on there phones or talking , there somewhere in the store.While we stand there waiting ...Its not the store it's the unreliable workers. This only pertains to the Fancy Gap stope.

The cashier was on her cell phone. The people ahead of me paid with cash. The cashier in turn shorted them with their change. She stayed on the phone and struggled to correct it. The couple got very frustrated and yet the cashier stayed on the phone. Then after the transaction the cashier stayed on her phone and the people ahead of me bagged their purchase because the cashier forgot to. The cashier mentioned after they left that it was difficult to get her mother in-law off the phone. I'm sure you lost future sales ti these people. My other visits were non eventful.

We always enjoy going to Dollar General. We prefer it over big box stores. We get our milk, cereal, snacks and many house hold items there.

A lot of good values but they have so much new merchandise that it is hard to get thru the isles and find things. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Usually has everything in place where it should be. Friendly staff. Never found this store out of stock of a lot of items. Normally have sales going on, and the products carried very for everyone's budget.
