This place have earned my trust. Everyone from the front desk, to the doctors and even the managers are very kind and resourceful when treating my pet. I have been bringing my pet here for 8 consecutive years and I’m so thankful for all their service. Reasonable priced but mostly experienced vets and assistants that will help your pet in any need of their medical services. Thank you Town & Country for the excellent job you do with our lovely pets!

My husband and I have been clients of Town & Country, and of Doctor Davis Hall specifically, for over 30 years. Dr. Hall and his colleagues have cared for two dogs and six cats over the years with compassion and outstanding medical expertise. We recommend both Town & Country and their sister facility, Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and ER, without reservation.

We’ve taken our dog here for many years. Service was fantastic but over the past few years vets have moved on and the vet and administration staff have dramatically declined. Took my 14 y/o dog in for balance issues. After 1.5 hours waiting in the lobby she finally got seen but I never spoke to the vet and sent us on our way. Last week she fell ill again with the same issue and called them. For a same day non emergency visit, they let me know it would be a $200 up charge. I called Vienna animal hospital and saw her the same day with no up charge. Upon 1 look of my dogs stomach, they sensed something was wrong and with an x ray confirmed a football sized tumor in her stomach. The whole visit cost $250. I’m appalled that town and country didn’t notice this a month ago. I would never leave town and country with anything less than a $600 bill. The lack of care, general oversight, and price gouging taking advantage of patients who care for their pets is disgusting. Unfortunately these days they’re all in it for the money and the lack of concern/care of the pets care takers is despicable. Please if you seek care in the Fairfax area to stay away. Was once a decent care facility but all they care about is money.

like many places they are after your money, they are good but highly commercial. I don’t trust a word because it’s all driven toward money.i paid 100$ for stool sample testing. i didn’t drop it within a month they want me to repay because i didn’t do it with an month time frame. how could they not say that stool sample need to be dropped off within 30 days or i will have to re pay?i’m moving my dogs care somewhere else.

The administrative staff, technicians and all doctors are amazing. Have referred several friends there. They have taken care of several of my dogs over 20 year time span and have done so with impeccable care. We typically see Dr Reed Hall (favorite)but EVERY doctor we have needed to see was amazing!!!

The doctors at Town & Country truly care about the animals they see. They take time to really examine, answer questions and provide options. I used to take my dog to Pender before they went “corporate”. Town & Country is equipped with all the tools of modern veterinary care but still maintains the personal touch of a community vet. Love this place and would not want my four-legged child in anyone else’s hands!

We went there with our senior dog to have her lipomas checked out, and Dr. Bauer's bedside manner and the tech's treatment of our sweet old lady were excellent. Dr. B was compassionate and explained the options well when something potentially bad was found in an x-ray. That was on Saturday. She said someone would call us on Monday (as she won't be in), with the results of her blood work and samples. Nobody called on Monday, so I emailed on Tuesday. No reaction. No reply on Wednesday either, so I emailed again on Thursday requesting the results and a copy of the radiologist's findings for the oncologist. Nobody had the results and they were going to request them and have someone call me. After much back and forth I said I don't need a call, just the results, I can read them. Radio silence after that. It's now Friday morning and I still don't have the results. There's no point in going to a practice if the vet is lovely but you have to chase after your results. Especially if your dog has a potentially life-threatening condition. Very disappointing.

Clean and super quick. They're very helpful letting you know what's up with your pet and clearly care about your pet. They don't feel like they're trying to go for your wallet but rather have the pet's best interests in mind.

Our female golden got spayed at this hospital on December 15th and we were charged an extra $220 as the Dr. wrote in his note that her uterus was larger than normal. However, she had her heat cycle back in September, we asked the doctor how is it possible that a female golden had two heat cycles in 3 months when the frequency should be roughly every 6 months. No response, other than it’s the Dr. Nguyen interpretation. In fact between her 1st and 2nd heat cycle, there was a 9-month interval. We are left with the assumption that this is their tactics to charge extra fees! This is our last time here and would never recommend anyone.

The entire staff were so kind, respectful and welcoming. I’ve been to a couple of different vet offices and this was by far one of the best experiences. Dr. Bussanich was so amazing. She took the time to get to know my pet and love on her instead of just immediately trying to exam my dog and leave. She was also patient with me as I asked various questions and she answered them kindly, I’m blessed to of found this place and will be requesting her each time!!

I probably got scammed here. My cat was in for a swollen eye. The actual experience was good. The Dr was communicative and *seemed* knowledgable during the checkup. Was very gentle and patient.Paid $80 for the vet visit itself, ~$160 for 2 tests that were definitely unneeded, and another ~$100 in medication/remedies.The medications were Terramycin, found for $20 on amazon; and diclofenac ~$20 online. 3rd item was a cone, which can be found for $10-20. Got charged double-ish for all items. The tests were not conclusive of any diagnosis and did not tell me what the actual problem was for the swollen eye; clear waste of money. In a way, makes me feel taken advantage of and feels as if the Dr was only trying to raise the bill. Two small things, I had never received an appointment confirmation (if I had missed it, I would lose an $80 deposit). Also, I had asked for both paper and email receipt of the bill-I did not receive an email. Just straight up lack of attention to detail.

Fast service and knowledgeable attentive staff. Tracy was very helpful and quick to help me.Dr Stahl is very caring. Her communication and engaging personality has given us confidence, understanding of the situation and most importantly she took great care of Oreo. She takes the time to give her undivided attention and explains in comprehensive details the situation. Thanks to Dr Stahl, Oreo is much better. ❤️

Not usually one to write reviews but Town and Country is just incredible. Brought our super vocal, temperamental, dramatic, and vehemently anti-vet husky mix in yesterday who threw an absolute tantrum and his DVM made him feel so at ease. CPAH and now T&C have been amazing to my family through 5 pets over 21 years; we left for a few years after finding somewhere that seemed to be cheaper, but the quality of care and transparency in pricing just came up short, so we’re back and so happy about it. Front desk at T&C was amazing, too. Can’t recommend CPAH/T&C enough! Pic attached — Logan says thank you!

Edit: lol at the owners response, my name isn’t even on the account so how would they know who my pet is. And they are the ones who gave us the advice that made her worse. They are so skeevy here. The advice they gave us made our cat more sick. We were told to schedule a follow up appt. When we called saying there were further issues, even with available appts, they said they’d only take her as an emergency appt for $175, even though we paid almost $700 the week before and the horrible advice that made her worse. And just want to make us pay for more horrible advice? No thanks.

We just switched to Town and Country Animal Hospital after a bad experience at a different vet and I can’t say enough good things about them. We worked with Dr. Christenson who had great bed side manner, was thorough but not an alarmist, and did a good job at communicating with us and explaining the situation and all available options. Like many vets in the area, I think they have some support staffing shortages, but the medical treatment and commitment to getting issues resolved was really impressive. They seem to actually care about your dog and the service they provide. We have been really happy with the diagnostic process and plan to continue using them even though it’s a bit further of a drive than we’d like.

My pets Dr was Sr and Jr and they are amazing doctors but for some reason the day I went they put my babies with this rude “ lady dr that me and my babies had a weird vibe about.she had a very obnoxious behavior and therefore I’m taking me and my friend’s dogs somewhere else. The cleaning lady was such an amazing person, can’t say the samething for the kindergarten employees working front desk.

I cannot say enough good things about Town and Country and their entire team. I have been taking my pets to them for YEARS. Even when I moved from the local area I would make the drive to them. They are always so kind, understanding, and the vets take their time to explain things, I never felt rushed during the visits. They have always squeezed me in whenever I needed a last minute appointment and have worked with my schedule to book appointments. I cannot thank everyone enough for everything they did for my pets. As difficult as his visits became towards the end of his life, Baymax was always loving the staff and giving them kisses. That made me feel so happy and I always knew he was in good hands. 🕊️

Really sad to write this review because I do think some of the vets here are solid but in general I’ve seen an utter lack of thorough care. I’m a professional dog trainer and both my dogs are used to being handled by many different people. I’ve never once has an issue in 7 years of owning my dog with her needing to be “sedated” for a check up.I took my dog here twice in 2 months for a limp in her back leg. What’s worse is they treated her the year prior for a foot and toe injury in the same leg but never considered the connection. All they said was nothing was wrong and gave her pain meds. Nothing else. Oh but they did mention giving her trazadone for her behavior. Meanwhile, my dog was dealing with a torn ACL for MONTHS that they refused to help with. Finally we changed vets and my dog had to get surgery. My dogs are so much happier at are new vet and have never once ahad an issue. The negligent vet staff here prolonged a torn acl for months without so much as even considering it was a muscle tear. They offer up behavioral medication like it’s candy without knowing anything about the dogs history and clearly, they’re doing something wrong if other vets even at this practice never had an issue but one of them says she needs sedated. This is what is wrong with the vet industry veterinarians are NOT behaviorist or trainers and they clearly don’t know how to handle dogs. Offering trazadone for dogs without knowing anything about them it’s sheer negligence.

Do not take your pet to this animal hospital. The doctors disregard one another and treat your pet only to increase fees and other charges. I took our little dog in for treatment and was charged an incredible about of money. Then, when they asked me to bring her in for a "Follow-up" the next week, which she didn't need, as she was doing fine, they did a full-repeat of the initial exam and treatment, coming up with a brand new diagnosis. When I spoke to the Doctor to ask why, she said the previous doctor didn't know what he was doing and she disputed his treatment. I said, this is only a follow-up, from his care, requested by the animal hospital. She is doing fine. And then I was billed for her new treatment, which I did not accept. The little dog is doing fine. I will never take her back to these quacks at Town & Country.

My appointment at Columbia pike animal hospital got canceled today and I was able to get an appointment at town & country. I was given the wrong address (old location) but the receptionist was very nice and gave me directions to their new location. The vet and tech who saw us today was nothing short of amazing. They were super kind and addressed all the problems I had with my dog. I never felt rushed and they took the time to really learn about my dog and his history. I was given multiple treatment options and it just a really nice experience.

I had a great experience for my puppy's (Sushi) spay surgery from the time I scheduled the appointment to the surgery and now recovery! After struggling with really mean and incompetent front desk staff of other veterinary practices, it was so refreshening to call Town & Country about scheduling a spay and what the procedure and costs look like. I forgot the man's name, but he walked me throughout the process, costs and next steps. I scheduled the appointment and received a follow up call the day prior and was relieved to talk to even more kind front desk staff. I told them how nervous I was and they ensured me they had the best doctors and that Sushi would be ok.Fast forward to the day of surgery, I dropped sushi off and was walked through the services and add-ons of what would be required. One caveat, I wish I was able to see the costs upfront prior to picking her up, but it's ok - the staff was kind to me. Dr.Stahl was Sushi's surgeon and was amazing! She called me immediately after the surgery was done to let me know it was successful and how Sushi was doing. My anxiety was relieved and I couldn't wait to see her. She walked me through the aftercare instructions and answered any questions I had. Sushi's first two days were rough (as any puppy would have faced), but by day 3 she was returning back to normal. Now we are at day 7 and she is 100% herself!! Her incision is healing great and she is doing fantastic. Thank you Dr. Stahl and to the rest of the fantastic team. You made me feel that my Sushi was in great hands and it is clear that she was. I recommend them 100%

I used Davis and Reed Hall as my vets for countless years and many dogs and cats. Dr. Davis Hall always gave excellent advice based on so many years of experience, down to earth, empathetic, humorous, respecting my budget. I moved away in 2012, but have such fond memories and respect for these two doctors and their wonderful staff. They truly care about you and your pet. Highly recommended. Based off of other reviews, I felt compelled to share. If you have a bully breed, do not bring your dog to this facility. I cannot emphasize this enough. I have an almost 11-year-old American Bully. I was in Fairfax visiting for the week when my dog started having stomach issues. This is the vet that a dear family friend of mine uses, so I trusted that this vet would be kind and thoughtful. My dog is 60 pounds of pure love. She does the typical bully scream, but she never showed an ounce of aggression to any of the employees in this facility. The vet tech I was working with made it EXTREMELY clear that she’s terrified of bully breeds. She could not be further away from me and my dog in the examination room. The vet had to ask for another vet tech to come in to comfort my dog during the exam. Additionally, when they took my dog to the back, I heard the vet say, “she seems scary, but you did good.” Never in my life have I felt so disappointed in a vet clinic. My dog is anything but scary. As a matter of fact, she was scared of the clinic. If your vet needs to give a pep talk to your vet tech, there is a massive problem. You’re in the wrong field of work. May I also add, if you have a comment about someone’s pet and it’s not nice, do it in the back or in a place that the owner cannot hear it. If I had the name of the vet tech, I would be including it in this review. Overall, I could not be more upset over this whole experience. As a dog lover and a bully advocate, I will make sure to share this experience with my whole network in Northern Virginia. What a shame.

The front desk staff is really hit or miss. You can stand at the front desk for five minutes with staff looking up and ignoring you, not checking you in or out, not asking how they can assist. Their reactions can be rude if you try to get their attention. There was one person I spoke with on several occasions who was great! She was pleasant, understood client interactions, and did a great job of checking me in/out quickly. Other than her, the front desk was challenging to interact with. It is unpleasant to spend your money at a place that makes you feel unwelcome. The vets were knowledgeable and professional. They answered all of my questions and explained things thoroughly. The point of this review is not to scare people away. It is to prepare anyone who go there for what might be a frustrating experience.

This place was recommended to us from a neighbor. Since we got our puppy close to two years ago, we have been using this place. It has been the worst experience. The office seems to be very disorganized and incapable. For example, our puppy had some blood in her stool so we wanted to make an appointment. They could not fit us in that day so my husband made an appointment for the following day. When I called the next morning to confirm the appointment the admin who answered the phone never wrote down our appointment so they could not fit us in for another two days. Didn’t even try to accommodate our puppy.Additionally the veterinarians are very inexperienced. We had one veterinarian that spoke to us like we were two--year-olds and seemed to get irritated if we asked any questions.Thirdly, they are very disorganized in communicating for vaccination updates for your pup. As well as communicating for any refills. It seems like all the employees that work there are very unhappy and disgruntled.I do not recommend this place. We ended up switching to Vienna Animal Hospital and we have had the best experience. They took our pup in less than 24 hours and the veterinarian followed up with us multiple times to see how our puppy was doing.

I wrote a post several years ago about how amazing the entire staff is. While I truly believe the doctors do amazing work, however I have watched front desk staff get worse and worse over the years. I think some of it revolves around the possibility of not enough staff. In addition, every single time I go I hear how their computer system, internet, printers etc aren't working. One time I was placed on hold for over an hour juat to be told they were closing and I needed to call back the next day. I have seriously started to think about finding a new clinic. Makes me sad because we have been with them for years, but every visit has increasingly gotten worse when dealing with the front staff.

We've been going to Town & Country and their sister facility (Columbia Pike Animal Hospital) for over 20 years now (5 different dogs)! No other place compares, everyone is great from the front desk staff, to the techs, and the vets. Five stars isn't enough!

I cannot say enough good things about this vet’s office. Specifically, about Dr Catsur, Christiansen, and team. I had been into two other vet’s and both times left with a huge bill, and I wasn’t explained anything “because of Covid.” Here when my goldie got sick, Dr. Catsur took her time to ask everything about Krum, clear doubts, and left me with no questions. Moreover, when his lab test came back two Drs got in contact with me with a medical plan and explaining options for course of action. Overall Krum was treated like a king. I must say although all vets are rather expensive nowadays, this place is truly worth it. They care about their patients.

From the minute my pets paws hit the ground at home they go directly to the Doc Halls to be vetted. Their entire staff of Vets, techs and office personnel are efficient and friendly, and they take care of even the saddest times with compassion and great empathy. Their services have expanded expediently over the years. My pets have all had long, healthy lives due to their quality care.
