Had to re schedule my grooming appointment once and that was totally fine and understandable, apparently there’s been some nationwide Canine bronchitis that is going on across the United State and APC sent me the urgent message so us customers can be aware! But Stacey gave my puppy a cute haircut look before Christmas and she did an excellent job! Shout out to all of the APC staff for keeping our puppies healthy and Safe! Stanley and I love you guys! 🐶P.S. It is not there fault for getting other dogs sick

We love APC for grooming and the cage-free boarding! Josh always does a wonderful job with grooming our goldendoodle. Our pup always comes home tired and happy from his stays at APC.

Our dogs love going to APC. They enjoy daycare, boarding, and grooming all in one location. They are so happy to see all the staff and their furry friends! They come home tired… in a good way. The staff is caring, professional, always helpful with any concerns. Cullen, Charlotte, and the front desk staff are amazing. We are very grateful to have found such an amazing place for our furries.

So many positive things to say about APC! My cockapoo loves it here and the management and staff are amazing. They truly care and treat both the pets and owners as part of the family. One of the things I appreciate most is the updates I receive from the staff in the event that my pup doesn’t seem to be feeling well or has an upset stomach - really anything out of the norm.

Took my corgi for grooming only, and he came back smelling and looking great. Prices are reasonable, will come back again.

Our dog loves this day care! She is excited to see the staff and comes back to us tired (in the best way). The report cards we receive are reassuring that she’s having a good time and doing good things. The only thing that would make this place even better is if they had cameras you could access while your dog was there so you could see how they’re doing. I have no doubt that she’s doing great, but I would love to see her with the other dogs, etc.

My dog Lilly has been going to Affectionate Pet Care since she was 4 months. She loves it there. We do daycare several times a week and have done boarding and grooming. I have been satisfied with each. When your dog can't wait to run in the door, you know they must be doing something right!Only complaint--I wish I could see the dogs playing. Either photos (when boarding), viewing area or live video feed. You can get reports on your dogs day that tell you who they played with, but you don't know the type of dog.

I really wanted to trust this place when I dropped off my baby for boarding. I was mad all through out the stay. I wanted a daily report card for updates on how she was doing. I had to call and they reassured me that they would, first two days they did then after that nothing. Also I had to check something on the app and her wholeBoarding reservation had disappeared and didn’t even come back up. When I got her home I did a full over look on her. This is where I’m beyond livid. She had a rash on her belly, fur was missing from her sides and her paws were bright red along with her gums along with wounds on her paws and she was severely dehydrated. She was also extremely tired when she got home, which is not like her at all. They didn’t even feed her the day we picked her up,because the report card from that day was blank. The so called report cards don’t give you any information how they are doing just how they ate and who they played with. The final straw for me was when I went to grab her I had put my card on file and the lady at the desk said we don’t use the card on file and something with the online app not working……Umm excuse me what if something had happen to her and she needed to go to the vet. My friend brought her bed with him and they said they don’t use beds which makes me think she slept on the concrete. I will not be bring her back.

At first glance, I thought this boarding facility would be a great match for dog. I was a bit nervous about an upcoming stay and I emailed the owner with my concerns. She replied promptly and reassured me everything would be ok. As I dropped my dog off I was told pictures/updates would be provided during the stay. After the first day I did not receive any updates. I reached out and was told the photographer went home for the day and was provided a brief update. This was the only update I received for the entire duration of the stay. During the car ride home my dog started to cough and hack. The next day I phoned the facility and spoke to a manger who claimed "that wasn't an issue" during my dogs stay. A cough doesn't just start 10 minutes after being picked up without exhibiting prior symptoms. He was diagnosed with "kennel cough" and a contagious wart. As he was contagious from the kennel cough, he was isolated from other social interactions. I am very disappointed in the lack of transparency from the facility. I will not be recommending this business to anyone.

We’ve been taking our dog here for daycare and grooming for about two years. He’s always so excited when we walk in the door, and he’s happy and exhausted from a full day of playing when we pick him up. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and we’re happy to have this place so close by. We love Affectionate Pet Care!

My dog Xena loves coming here. We've done boarding and daycare and she always comes home absolutely pooped but in one piece. She is so social with other dogs, so it's a great supervised outlet for her. Thanks!

Affectionate Pet Care is our “go to” for doggie day care and boarding. Our Pup loves it there. It’s clean and has an indoor and outdoor play area, cage free sleeping room for overnight stays and very friendly and professional staff. We have been going there for over a year and have always had a good experience and our dog comes home happy and tired from playtime. One time we boarded the dog to go on a 14 day cruise and the staff found a growth and immediately contacted me and took the dog to our vet for treatment and then kept him in a separate suite while he healed until we could get back. This type of thing had never happened and we were worried but the staff kept in touch with us daily and gave our dog the tlc that he needed and he was very happy and on the mend when we got back to pick him up. Highly recommend this place for your furry friend. Lots of people go there so book early if you are boarding the dog especially for holiday weekends.

Very attentive and professional staff. Great facility, including 3 outdoor areas for pups to run around. My pooch only attended once so far, but he clearly felt comfortable and did not rush to get out. Will definitely recommend to anyone who seeks quality, cage-free doggy daycare and boarding place. One thing which stands out from other places we tried, they do require reservations which one can make over the phone and are a bit more old-school in terms of payments, alerts, etc. However, they seem like a solid and well-established facility that has dedicated staff and accountability.

I was told right from the start that "A tired dog is a good dog". All puppy owners should keep that in mind. My puppy Pippa has loved everyday she has spent at APC, from her first day (she was asleep within 2 minutes of getting in the car) to her last. She is the most well adjusted, socialized goofball puppy because of your establishment. For me personally, I can't say enough about the staff. They love their job and it shows in their efficiency and the way they love and care for our puppies. When your dog is excited every time you pull on Pickett St and can't wait to get in the building, you know that they are being well cared for while you are at work or on vacation. I'm by no means a "helicopter (dog) mom" even more so when Pippa has been in the care of APC - I always knew she was in good hands. So thank you all for helping raise the well-rounded goofy puppy Pippa Petals Pittman. We both give y'all 10 stars (or biscuits) out of 5!

Affectionate Pet Care is our GSP's second home. He goes there a couple times a week to socialize, and he loves it. When we go away for a few days or on extended vacations, we never worry because we trust that he's in phenomenal hands. The staff is knowledgeable, flexible, and professional. I don't think we've ever had a bad experience with Affectionate in three plus years. We've convinced friends and family to go there, and they've become loyal customers, too. We can't recommend Affectionate highly enough.

I have been using their services for years and will continue to do so.Daycare is attentive and the employees were mindful of my dog's needs and behavior. He always comes back tired and happy!Their dog sitters are simply amazing, and I don't trust anyone else with my dog when I am out of town.Lastly, Jake the lead dog trainer is a dog whisperer and has helped us with some behavioral issues in a short amount of time.

If I could give this place a zero I would. Not because of the workers but management. I usually take my dog Luna to get groomed here because the groomers do such a great job but not anymore. The callous and greedy management that has willingly kept this place open despite knowingly being the super spreader of kennel cough. They have also decided to turn a blind eye and not even inform their customers of the outbreak in their facility. Money is more important to them then the health of your pets. Yes kennel cough can be treated but when you have a dog that is old and isn’t in the best health this could potentially kill them. But the management doesn’t care as long as they are getting money. This is a place I’ll never take my Luna to ever again and I hope no one does. Imagine this is how they decide to treat out pets! I can imagine how management treats their workers too! Also erase my comment and I’ll keep posting I have time for this.

My dog has been coming here for years. We will board him when we go on vacation or if he just needs a place to socialize. APC has a great, friendly, and attentive staff. They always provide outstanding customer service and make my dog feel at home. I’ve told friends and family to take their pets to APC and they are amazed at how great it is. I wouldn’t trust any other place!

Our family dog had been going to APC for the last 6 years roughly once a week (I'd estimate he visited the facility about 40 times a year). I'd estimate once or twice a year he would get a "rough housing" injury from the other dogs at the facility, usually a small bite/scratch mark on the face or neck area. Each time this occurred the Manager would apologize and offer to offset the cost of the vet visit by providing free daycare passes up to the value in bills (daycare pass is $35). We tolerated the small niks here and there because anytime we mentioned APC around our dog he'd get so excited so go for his next visit. Never had the feeling he was scared of the facility (like a vet visit). As you've seen, over the last two weeks, APC has really fumbled the kennel cough outbreak they've had at their facility. Our dog went for his weekly visit two weeks ago and promptly 48 hours after leaving the facility he started coughing and vomiting roughly every 20 minutes. Our vet was able to see him and quickly diagnosed that he had kennel cough. We called APC to find out more details when he first displayed symptoms and the onsite manager said they knew of the outbreak and were contacting "older dog (in age) families first." The owner of the company called and left a voicemail willing to pay for the vet expenses with free daycare passes, which seems like common practice at this point. As of writing this review (about 10 days after the initial coughing and yacking by our dog) no mass notice has been sent out to us or the APC community, no communication at all. From a few conversations with other customers of the establishment it seems APC has shut down for a few days to probably stem the spread that their facility was attributing to.I had always had suspicions that the facility was "overbooked" with dogs when it came to both the facility space as well as handler-to-dog ratio and this outbreak pretty much confirmed it. We'll be taking our pooch to a further away doggy day care from now on due to the fact that the trust for the organization and the care needed for our pet is broken.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. I left my Chiweenie, Nala (11 lbs, no medication) and German Shepherd mix, Pip (35 lbs, who takes three medications) here for a weekend. When I picked them up, my Chiweenie was extremely bloated and could barely walk. I expressed concern they gave my Chiweenie my German Shepherd’s medication. They said it was “not likely,” that “she probably is just getting old and not used to the high energy” and that “the only possible way that could happen would be if Nala got into’s Pip’s food (even though online it states they are fed separately).” The manager told me he thought I was “over thinking” the fact they packed away Pip’s empty pill containers in Nala’s bag. I immediately took her to urgent care where they assessed Nala had a thyroid level of 4.5 (over normal)- meaning she probably was given Pip’s thyroid pills (and if that, probably also Gabapentin and Carprovet). Even with that information, they did not want to give me a boarding ($300) or vet bill ($750) refund. After getting my boyfriend involved, they said they would mail a check. I received it a week later but it was only for the emergency vet and not the boarding (I had to email them about it and they did refund my card over the phone). We got her retested (out of our own pocket) and her levels are now 1.2 (normal), which further proves the pill mixup.Edit: the owner has since apologized and explained management has gone through meetings discussing this ordeal.

We use Affectionate Pet for daycare and boarding. When we started, our dog needed help socializing (who didn't after Covid?!). They were very good with her and worked with her. She's made huge improvements. I do wish they had an option for online booking but emailing or calling isn't too bad. Do reserve early - they book up for both daycare and boarding.

Love love love love this place and the staff and especially the management! They are on point and care about the staff and dogs! My dogs HATE going to groomers but have been soooo good here! Josh does a great job with them and I’m excited to have found a happy and safe place for them!

Affectionate takes such good care of our pups. They always have so much fun when they are there. We typically do boarding when we are out of town. They run pretty hard, so get lots of exercise, and then sleep hard once they are back at home.

I can’t say enough great things about training with Jake from APC! After just a few sessions, life with my high-energy 3 YO Border Collie/Goldendoodle mix is so much more enjoyable. Jake was always professional, patient, and responsive; he had the perfect strategies to build on what my pup already knew and channel his energy toward more desirable behaviors.

Please don't bring your dog here. I spoke with an associate in May to book my dog for boarding the weekend of my wedding in August. They said I was all set and just needed to book a behavior evaluation for her which made sense. They recommended waiting until a couple weeks prior to boarding. I brought her Monday and they said she was quiet and didn't want to play with the other dogs (I later realized they had all the dogs outside and it was no exaggeration, 99 degrees out). So they wanted to have her do doggy day care for a day and then make a decision if she was "safe for boarding" (she goes to the dog park and has play dates with her doggy friends all the time but definitely has separation issues). I was okay with that - brought her for doggy day care today. I was a little nervous so they said they would give me a report card of how she did at the end of the day. I came to pick her up and they said they have no record of the boarding request for August, already have too many dogs scheduled and can't accommodate her. No apologies, no offer or discount for me literally wasting my money this week for the sole purpose of boarding her and it's now 3 weeks before my wedding and no one to watch my dog. To make matters worse there was no report card and no one could comment on how my dog did all day while I was at work for 9 + hours. Would never bring my dog here again.

My dog loves going here and Stacy is so good at grooming him (mini poodle mix) but every time he’s at daycare he comes home smelling like urine. He’s white so you can literally see the yellow patches of urine on him. Also he’s gotten kennel cough from there before and after a recent 2 day boarding visit he came home with conjunctivitis in his left eye. It’s just not worth boarding or bringing him to daycare there. Besides the front office staff could be friendlier; they’ve gotten worse over the years.
