The shops were great. The people in those were very friendly. The only negative was the Hanks at Dayton. The girls working in there were very rude. Bad attitudes. The hot dogs were good. The burger wasn't very good. They did have good Mac n cheese. We sat and ate. And while we were there. They were rude to multiple people. Highly recommend they find a different food vendor. This is not the service that you would except from a amish market.

The Dayton Market in Dayton, Virginia, is an awesome Amish market with loads of vendors! You'll find everything from delicious food and desserts to cool crafts and unique gifts. It's a fantastic place to explore and grab tasty treats and souvenirs. Don't miss it if you're in the area! đđïž

A cool little market, perfect for a weekend trip! There are kitchen supplies, a BBQ restaurant, a jersey shop, a meat deli, a few clothing shops, antiques, a plant shop, a toy store, and more. There are also two Mennonites making pastries, bread, and chocolate.

I absolutely love these little collectives of shops. There are so many great locally made gifts, jewelry, toys, and artisan foods options. The jerky is phenomonal, and my husband loves the Amish canned foods store for apple pie filling and cheeses and the retailers are so very helpful. All the great sights, smells, of the hand made soaps, coffees, lighting and accessories are amazing and you shouldn't miss this spot if you're in town!

This place had quite a bit of items. It is my favorite market near Harrisonburg/surrounding areas. They had antiques, furniture, candies, homemade truffles, homemade beef jerky that was being made right there in the little shop and my friends and boyfriend loved it â they each bought some, homemade and store-bought cheese, fresh cuts of meats, local honey and where you can bring in your container and get honey, milk products, souvenirs, garden flags, greeting cards with other stuff like cat pillows, baby socks, word sayings on blocks, crafting items and supplies, sewing items, home dĂ©cor, sports memorabilia for VT, WV and JMU, homemade soaps, etc. etc. I wonât be able to list all of the items but you get the picture. There are a lot of things in this place and several shops. I bought a homemade peanut butter brownie too from a bakery near the cafĂ© in here. It was very delicious. They did have some kind of cafĂ© but I had just eaten breakfast so I did not stop in there to get anything to eat. The menu looked good though. If I am ever back in the area it would be something I would be interested in trying for sure.Everywhere you turn there are items and things to look at. I liked that this place seemed a bit cluttered.I bought some items for a family member like jams, home dĂ©cor, and I got myself some chocolate truffles- mint, raspberry, and peanut butter all of them milk chocolate since I do not like dark chocolate. They were all yummy. They were only 98 cents a piece too. A steal!!!I did use the restrooms here and they were clean. Nothing fancy but they did the trick. Toilet paper, soap, and towels were stocked so that is what mattered to me.There was also a furniture store a little up the hill that we went to that was separate from the main market that you may want to check out if you are interested to see what quality furniture the Amish make.. A lot of the items in there were really pretty and cute but I wasnât looking for any furniture so it didnât matter to me.I would go back here again. I hope I am back in the area again to experience this place a 2nd time.Everyone was friendly. I asked a couple of questions to some of the people who owned the shops and they were all helpful and kind.Note: I did mention that there are shops. There are several people in here and just like you have an outside market this market is inside so everyone rents a space out and has their shop so make sure you pay attention to the signs and pay the right person and donât walk off with items in your hands.Note 2: There were four of us that visited this place and we liked it way better than the Shenandoah Heritage Market.

Very happy I stopped by the shops. I bought flowers from Zola, got meat from the butcher counter and chocolate. Places to eat breakfast and lunch or grab a coffee. Chocolate covered espresso beans from The Cheese Place are delicious.

Market is closed on Tuesdays but Cheese Shop is open. That's an advantage to shop there when it's not so crowded.

Such a fun, nostalgic market with very attractively decorated booths. The Southwest Chicken Salad from Hanks was delicious. Also, Chocolate from Wafelâs is a must try! Prime Cuts and Seafood is a new meat shop that opened this weekend. They have a small, but quality assortment of specialty meats and seafood like Fillet Mignon, Salmon, Crab Cakes and Legs, and Fresh Shrimp. The owner is my Uncle and I know you will not be disappointed by your purchases!

It is a cute place but I think a little pricey for the area. I loved that it highlighted local artists and craftspeople.

Good food at Hank's on the inside, especially the pulled pork. Children enjoyed the hot dogs while some had platters. Overall, food was good again with the highlight being the pulled pork. The 3 available barbecue sauces were decent, but not exceptional. The coleslaw was palatable but again, nothing exceptional. Service was superb with smiling and friendly personnel. The shops offer hard to find items in basic or bulk quantities with everything from rice flour to peanut candy and just about anything else in between. Many local and regional fares are available bagged or canned. The homemade candy section looked delightful and uniquely satisfying, but honestly the prices were outrageous and generally prohibitive. Chocolate delights of numerous varieties at almost $18 per pound is unreasonable for most shoppers. There is local ice cream, many craft offerings and a number of delightful shops with many unique offerings. It's a fun place to visit. People are Shenandoah Valley-friendly. You are likely to find some things here that a difficult to find elsewhere. If you're ever in the area, stop by and give it a try. Just don't anticipate too many bargains because uniqueness most often comes with a price. Nonetheless, whatever you get will likely be decent quality.

A lot of cute shops and friendly people! Particularly enjoyed trying the different jerkies and delicious chocolates. Lots of fun kitchen tools on one end and hard to find ingredients on the other end make for a great adventure. Lots of beautiful arts and crafts for sale along with some crafting supplies. It was worth the hour drive.

Very pleasant collection of shops. I especially recommend the bakery between the coffee shop and restaurant. They have delicous cinnamon rolls for $2! The coffee shop is great as well. Come here instead of chains cafes/restaurants. Always filled with good people.

We are here every couple of weeks and never leave empty handed. There are tons of great shops from a butcher to the cheese place. Love the candy options in the Cheese place and we always leave with something from the butcher or the baker, or both!!!! Drive down to Dayton for an opportunity to browse and find something you are looking for or look for something you didn't know you needed!!!
