We got the flight of 4 flavors. It's perfect for those who likes to try different flavors. They are very friendly and kind, let us sample a few flavors and helped us in the decision making process. My favorite was the peanut butter vanilla and my husband liked the raspberry with chocolate chips in it. The plain chocolate is underwhelming, we wouldn't recommend that one. They do have many options!

i never write reviews but after tasting this ice cream, i had to write one.this was my 1st time trying Grammies and it definitely wont be my last! the flavor options are incredible and have such a variety. the scoop sizes are beyond reasonable especially for the price!!i got the “flight of 4 scoops” which is a brilliant idea especially for 1st timers.customer service was also fantastic!i would 1000% recommend this shop to anyone & everyone!pictures were taken after a few bites were eaten… just couldnt wait!

First time coming here and the area is very open and a very nice place to relax. I love the many flavours they offer here in a daily basis. Great prices for the delicious homemade ice cream. There are so many options to choose from, I need to come back more often to experience the rest! They even offer seasonal special flavours!Beautiful backyard patio to sit and talk! Very clean place. Lovely staff!

Grammie’s ice cream is a wonderful spot. The service is fast and friendly and they have so many options to choose from. They’re all so flavorful and packed with whatever they say they have- never miss. There are chairs around the back and on the sides with a nice view of the water gardens. Only downside is there is no indoor seating, but I guess most people just get ice cream when it’s hot 😊

So, I took a Ride out onto Hwy 42 and there They sat on the Left. A Post for Drawn Buggy's, Handicapped Parking, a Beautiful Back Area to enjoy your Ice cream & a Wonderful Bridge to walk over with Cypress Trees throwing a Breeze on a Nice Fall Day. You walk up, choose your Flavor (s) and walk around to the side to pick it up.Dogs Love The Pup Cups and We Humans Love to know that some of the Flavors are Lactose Free!! 🌹

We drove about 20 miles from Massanutten Resort to this location, as it seemed there was a location right outside the resort, but when we went there, it was closed and had changed names. The drive was lovely and the ice cream was delicious. They have flavors I've never seen before, one of which was Oatmeal Creme Pie. That's the flavor I got. It had huge chunks of chewy oatmeal cookie in creamy vanilla ice cream. It was decadent. My mom got the Almond Coconut Joy and my husband got the Midnight Mint. I didn't try theirs, but they both liked their flavors. Service was friendly and fairly fast, considering that we had three orders. I can see why this place gets such high ratings. It would be nice to have some picnic tables on the property for more seating.

The quality of the ice cream is superb! The apple dumpling sundae is the best sundae I have eaten! Next to that is the strawberry shortcake sundae! We hope to try more sundaes! Both my husband and I think Grammie's ice cream is better than their competitors.

Grammie's Ice Cream is a must stop place in Dayton, VA. The ice cream is really good. There are tables outside for you to enjoy your ice cream and be outside. They have many wonderful flavors and many different ways to serve it. They also, have a doggie ice cream bowl for your fur-kids. Comes with vanilla ice cream and a Milkbone dog biscuit.

Yes, the ice cream is five stars good. Because of covid we couldn’t taste before buying, but I asked the cashier which chocolate based ice cream would have the most texture. She recommended triple chocolate and it was perfect. My kid got key lime pie flavor - outstanding. Same for mud slide and cotton candy (a flavor I normally find disgusting but my 9yo loves). Portions were huge and prices reasonable. We’re so glad we came here!

Quaint little ice cream shop with super friendly staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and your visit memorable. Many, many flavors to choose from, all of which are outstanding! Far better than Kline's, Willie's or Brewster's!!! There is simply no comparison!! Pricing is reasonable as well. Looking forward to my next trip there.Only problem is which flavor to try next!!Love you guys!!

I love the flavor selection! So many amazing flavors to choose from. I think the inside could look a little more professional and still keep the rustic aesthetic. (Crumpled up paper to show scoop size, handwritten sign about frozen coffee on paper, etc) but would always 100% recommend this place!

My family is for just finished eating at Grammy's ice cream. we all commented on how wonderful the customer service was especially during covid-19. We all ordered different things - I ordered peanut butter overload my husband ordered black cherry, and my two daughters ordered cotton candy and black raspberry ice cream. We all commented about how unusual the flavors were and how amazing it tasted. This is an amazing place! The only thing we wished was that they had kids size portion because even the one scoop portion is huge.

Cute place to get ice cream! The girls that helped us were so sweet and gave us such great recommendations. We sat out front in the rocking chairs and enjoyed the sunset. We got traditional vanilla ice cream with peach topping and the chocolate earthquake and peanut explosion. I highly recommend those flavors. The sell ice cream, shakes, sundaes and more.

first time here and loved it! they had a ton of selection and even the portion sizes were great. most ice cream places two scoops is my go to, but two scoops here was to much,and the price is great. the staff was very friendly. the location had a nice eating area with rocking chairs and umbrellas. definitely recommend this place! cant wait to go back and try other options

We have come to Grammie’s numerous times. My daughter has a nut allergy so we have always asked for a clean scoop. There has never been an issue just like the other ice cream shops in the area have been super nice about it. The last time we went my daughter was told they don’t serve people with allergies. We will never be back. If you have allergies don’t go to Grammies.
