It’s alright . I think Dairy Queen is a little bit better than this place. Nothing special about the flavors…. You can get the Walmart brand and add it into the waffle cone and not tell the difference. Nothing home made either… if you want all natural real flavors go to Fredericksburg.

We stopped in at the Culpeper Bruster’s tonight, excited because it has been awhile since we’ve been in.There were 3 young ladies working and the line was all the way back to the door! But they worked so well together and kept filling the orders as quickly as possible. At one point there were 30 customers present; some were eating, the rest were waiting patiently.The service was awesome! The ice cream and shakes were awesome! Well done, Girls! Great experience! ❤️🍦❤️🍦

Very clean with a friendly staff. I had a hotdog and mint chocolate chip ice cream cone. The only thing I can complain about is they don’t have slaw! Check it out - good for a quick lunch and prices are fair.

The ice cream is absolutely delicious, but as for the customer service… that is despicable. My husband and I walk in, waiting to be greeted by the young man tonight but instead he sighs extremely loud and rolls his eyes at us. He didn’t even ask what we wanted, he just stared at us. I said if there is a problem with us being there then we can leave, he said “it’s okay”. Every time I’ve gone it just keeps getting worse and worse. Like I said, the ice cream is amazing but I will never return to this location ever again. I hope the owner/manager sees this review and the employees can get a grip on work ethic and costumer service for the future.

Stopped in today for the first time as a treat for the kids. We should have turned right around. The place was filthy inside and out. The restrooms were akin to gas station restrooms. We ordered sprinkles on our cones and instead of coming coated with sprinkles, they came with about one plastic spoonful lightly dumped on top and immediately fell off into the counter and floor. The mess was not even noticed, let alone cleaned up by the staff for as long as we were there...I wish I had asked them for a mop to do it myself. The ice cream was already dripping before my kids got the cones, and all for an exorbitant price. I'll happily drive farther to go to the Moo Thru next time.

Tonight I called this ice cream shop at exactly 8:30pm to confirm the time they closed, which I was told by the young lady that answered was 9pm. Our family wanted ice cream but everywhere in Madison, VA was closed already so we proceeded to Culpeper where this store is located. Upon arrival at 8:48pm the doors and drive up window were locked but the lights were on. We called and stood at the door while two young ladies inside that were cleaning ignored us and would not answering the phone. I knocked on the door to get their attention and they looked at us agitated and with disgusted faces as they mouthed they're closed. I pointed to the sign on the door which says they closed at 9pm and then my watch. But they laughed and returned to ignoring me. We wasted our time driving all the way from Madison after calling to ensure they we would be open to be ignored then treated like an annoyance. I'll never return and never recommend this place to anyone. 08/12/2022. I regret not taking a photo of the two employees inside the shop that wasted our time and lied to us to post here.

Sunday, May 29 2022. First time visit. Our Expectations were way to much compared to the reality and level of disappointment. The energy of this joint is that of a nursing home, with one resident left, clinging to life. The energy of the 3 girls working there were that of the last resident at the nursing home x3. No cool decorations to bring out the nostalgia of a Nathan's and a Bruster's ice cream joint. There's no system at all, people that came in after us got their orders first, people that were there before we got there still hadn't gotten what their complete order when we left. The workers mope around as if they're using walkers and hate life. Nothing about this joint was worth mentioning except the prices are good. They have about 8-10 flavors of ice cream and then they also sell Nathan's hotdogs. As I'm typing this I'm getting less and less inspired to even finish the post. Masks aren't required, they are not doing any type of cleaning and spraying of the boothes, counter and tables inside let alone outside. I didn't even take any pics of what we got. If you're hypoglycemic and having an episode, this is the perfect spot. Will I get ice cream here again? Sure, but I have hypoglycemia 🤣

Great Place!!! The staff and Owners are very friendly. My son says the chicken tenders are the best ever. The ice cream is made fresh daily. My favorite is the strawberry milkshake. I recommend you come try it out!!!!

It should not take fifteen minutes to get 2 chili cheese dogs. We were told we couldn't get anything fried because their fryer was down... ok. It happens. When we finally got our chili dogs they were so smothered in cheese soup there was no way to eat it without getting cheese everywhere. The employees obviously do not care about their jobs.

I haven’t visited this establishment in a while. But made the exception to get a refreshment today. As I walk in and approach the counter the wait person greeted me and I responded kindly, as I looked beyond her, and took mental note of two of her fellow workers opening the icecream freezer doors and with spoons in hand, dipping into the icecream and right into there mouths. Not just once, but then going to a different flavor and repeating the same thing with different flavors of icecream. They weren’t trying to hide it at all. Blatant disrespect for the customers at the counter, and any manager that may or may not have been there. Not forgetting to mention that they even had a sign up on the front door asking customers to please consider wearing a mask as Covid is everywhere. Disappointed with this establishment again.

First visit was okay. Nothing jumped out as far as unique flavors or quality. Thought they might have been having an off day so went back again. It was worse- I ordered 2 scoops of ice cream, one key lime one peach while my friend ordered a hot fudge sundae. Both were rediculosly small yet overpriced.My flavors tasted as synthetic as they looked. The peach had these weird shredded bits which were not pieces of peach (I had asked if it had pieces of peach in it and was told "No"). They might have been peach skin. The key lime wasn't much better. My friends hot fudge sundae was served in a big bowl which made the lack of ice cream served look that much more obvious. We weren't the only ones who had the same issue-A customer ahead of us was given her "scoop" of sherbet which looked like it was about the size of a table spoon. And that's being generous. She said something to the clerk and was told it was to "keep down the calories".Needless to say we won't be going back.

This place has great ice cream at a good price. 5$ will go a long way. A regular size cone or cup is almost too much ice cream with 3 heaping scoops. They have many flavors to choose from, all of which are delicious.

My wife and I have only gone for ice cream twice at Bruster’s, but the experiences have been terrible. Both times we had to wait for over 20 minutes to get the ice cream that we paid for. All the customers that came in after us got their orders. We only got our ice cream because both times we went up to the counter and even then it took a few minutes. The staff was never apologetic and had attitudes. We never plan on going back and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Staff seemed poorly trained and disorganized. The fountain soda machine was essentially out of service, limiting customer's to what was in the 75% empty cooler. Service was slow, for time that Google says the are not typically busy and they were not. Wouldn't recommend going here. Food taste was decent but, the hot dog buns seemed a little stale. Not a great value for the money or any type of extraordinary experience.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE there food and ice cream. Additionally I love the fact that they also have doggy ICE cream for my dog, he looks forward to it when we come back from the Dog Park, and I love there key lime ice cream for myself.

Nice little place for really good ice cream, you can also get Nathan's famous hot dogs and fries here. A little on the more expensive side, but not too bad. Place is usually pretty crowded and often seems understaffed, but thats not a knock against the actual staff, they are usually very friendly and seem to be working hard.

The creamsicle in new special summer Beach Getaway promotion does NOT look like the picture. It is not served swirled. It is alternating scoops of vanilla ice cream and orange sherbert. So do not go there looking for a product like the picture. The ice cream and waffle cone taste ok though but isn’t presented as pictured.

Thoroughly enjoy Brusters ice cream. Unfortunately during our last visit, we waited at the window for 5 mintutes for someone to tell us they will be with us shortly.  Ten minutes later she came back and told us we had to come inside as they were busy and by that time several people had arrived and the line was out the door.  This is our third visit here where the service has been horrendous. We did not order this time needless to say
