I love taking my dog to Pet Value. We get everything we need from there; good quality dog food, toys, leashes, treats and he gets washed there too. They also have a rewards program. Roma loves the staff, they are always friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend it.

Great store. We bring our dogs here for baths and to get supplies. You can tell they want what’s best for your pet and will find things that aren’t expensive and are still good quality. They’re super helpful, friendly, and the store is really nice. Clean and well kept. Dog wash is awesome! Large tubs, various shampoos, towels, and a blow dryer!! The kittens there are a bonus too. :)

Talk about an awesome pet shop. Dog washing station is typically busy and for good reason, well equipped and well worth the money. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They're also active with local rescue groups and animal charities. Great sales on toys regularly as well

Jim was so friendly in welcoming me and my service animal with our first visit to the store. He was professional and knowledgeable and so is his team! On top of excellent service, there is a wide selection of all things pets. Their self serve bath area looks great with a variety of shampoo options, and at a superb price too. They truly live up to the name, PetValu! Thank you!

This is the most incredible pet store that I’ve ever shopped with, and now they are the ONLY pet store I will shop with.Not only do they carry everything a pet owner needs, their staff is informed and devoted. The advice I’ve been given for big to small issues had been golden. Even if sometimes the advice was to point me toward my vet.I’ve never been failed by these people, and there is a personalized attention offered to customers and their four-legged family members that has completely won my loyalty.I can’t say enough about Pet Valu. I didn’t even realize how much the community needed them until they appeared. I hope they never leave.

I came here because my dog got really muddy at the dog park and I have white carpeting. My friend suggested I stopped in, and I'm really glad that I did.First of all, the self service dog wash stations are great. They're nice looking, with a functional but still pretty brown tile. Plenty of neatly rolled towels and lots of soap/conditioning sprays to choose from.Thereere are steps so even small dogs can get up. The sinks are at a good height, and while the button on the sprayer was a little sticky, that was useful because I didn't have any fear that the sprayer would go off by accident and hit me.You can choose between using a towel and using the blower. I did both, and it worked out pretty well. There are two different kinds of treats available in the dog wash area, too.A staff member escorted me over to the pet area and made sure I knew how to use everything, and someone checked on me every so often to make sure I was still doing all right.When I went to check out I found that the guy the counter was very knowledgeable about the products, on a way different level than I expected. He knew enough about the products to stop me from buying the treat I was originally going to buy because I had shellfish in it and I'm allergic. He also introduced me to a water additive for dog breath and told me how it works with his own household of mixed dogs and cats, which was very useful.Basically, I went to wash off a muddy dog and wound up buying some treats and other things and I will definitely be going back. Great service here, I forgot how much I actually like having a pet store where everyone knows about the products and cares about customer service. Plus, I thought the prices for the dog wash were very reasonable. Ten bucks is low for that nice of a wash.

Excellent place to bathe your dog. Clean stations with all the supplies you need. The oatmeal shampoo did not dry out my dog's coat. The have blow dryers but the towels soak up so much water that I find it easier to towel dry my dog even with his very thick coat. Employees were very nice and helpful.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the products & friendly. If your pet has any suspected food allergies, this staff can help!The pet self-bathing facilities are neat & well-stocked. Highly recommend!Unique pet items, too!

This place is awesome for owners of pets that get a little dirty every now and again. After a long afternoon at the dog park, I like to take my shepherd here to get him washed.They have three different stations, two of which are roomy enough to fit large breeds with ease. You are responsible for washing your own dog. They provide aprons, towels, a variety of shampoos/conditioners, and air dryers to finish up. The cost is only $10 and you'll never spend another afternoon picking dog hair out of the shower at home.I highly recommend this facet of their operation as it is very convenient and the wait times are minimal.

Great place to wash your dog! Wilson and I had a much better experience than when we wash in the bathtub. Lots of towels, 3 kinds of soap, and no kneeling down, what's not to love? If you have a fuzzy dog be prepared for an tornado of fur when you use the high power blow dryer!!

GREAT place to give your dog a bath! Designed so you can stand & not get soaked yourself, brought my own shampoo, but you don't have to--plenty of towels.

Took my 78 pound yellow lab to give him a bath there for the first time. Jim was extremely helpful in getting him in to the wash station. Jim also helped me pick his new collar and car teather so he will remain safe on our trips. 🐕

For $10 they have the best dog wash in Charlottesville. They also have a good selection of food and snacks too. This is becoming my go to pet store.

The store smelled awful!!! Cluttered. No staff member that we could see except I think one with a dog at the grooming area (?). It could've even been an owner. I won't be back. The poor cats at the front of the store looked pitiful.
