Unbelievably attractive shop. Amazing pieces beautifully presented, and the owner and her staff are warm and friendly to new visitors. Helen herself helped me select a Christmas gift - a beautiful hand-painted Venetian perfume bottle from the 19th century - which my sister absolutely loved. Highly recommended for antiques shoppers, from the very experienced to total novices, you'll be delighted!

Loved the variety of antiques! Also fell in love with most items in the shop. However, I didn’t have need for them. Prices vary. Of course. A beautiful hand printed Venetian silk fabric had me dreaming big. I was unable to afford it, but understood the price. Bought a few lengths of handcrafted lace/tatted trims which were very incredibly affordable. So. If you’ve traveled in the source locations of the items you will grasp why the pricing is as it is and it could inspire you to focus on having something perfect, beautiful and handcrafted from a culture varying from the location of this store. Pieces like these can be well cared for to last more years than anything bought that is mass manufactured. It is definitely a mindset worth investing in and you will definitely find such wonderful and beautiful pieces at Helen Storey Antiques.

This is such a wonderful shop that I fell in love with the moment I first walked in. Helen is delightful and always has something I just can't live without. Prices are more than fair. She is very customer oriented and goes the extra mile for you if you're searching for something in particular. For me just being in the shop is like a mini trip to Europe and reminds me of my favorite Parisian shops!

What a beautiful store! It is a little bit of France right here in Charlottesville. If you love French and Continental furniture it is the place to go. It is next to Vivace, which makes it a nice lunchtime stop. Well worth a visit.
