This store is so clean! The shelves were well stocked, organized and plentiful in choice. I was very impressed with the store, offerings and prices. They have weekly specials and an app to deliver them to the customer.I wish we had a good lion in El Paso where we were visiting from.

I shop here often because it's convenient, clean, not too crowded, and often has good sales and prices on produce. I also use the app and like the electronic coupons and the shop & earn savings. For awhile, the electronic coupons weren't working at the register at I had to go to customer service to fix the problem, but recently they are working again and are automatically applied when you check out. What I'd like to see in the store is a better selection of healthy, convenient foods, fresh pork without a brine solution added (right now the sole option is Nature's Promise), and lower everyday prices on some items that have gone up a lot with inflation. Some healthy food options have disappeared, I think, because Food Lion customers weren't buying them, but I think Food Lion has to strike a balance between attracting new health conscious customers and not alienating their main customer base, who I think tends to buy more processed food. I’d like to see more healthy frozen meals like Tattoo Chef or Purple Carrot. I've been going to Wegman's more because there's a wider selection of healthy foods and prices on everyday items are competitive with Food Lion.

Just like other Food Lion stores this one isn’t fancy but its clean, well stocked and never crowded. Even before the remodel a year or two. I thought they were clean. Food Lion isn’t where I do most of my shopping at but this location is close to home so if I just need a few things and I’m not going into town this is my go to place.I like that they have self checkout since I never buy a lot at one time I don’t like to tie up a cashier from a larger order. I wish more Food Lions had them.

Prices ok. However, every time I go, they’re waxing the floor with a noisy gas powered piece of equipment. It’s not only loud but puts off exhaust fumes. Makes me not want to take my time when shopping. They should probably do this after hours, not in the middle of the evening.

They have good employees and produce and some cashiers are good but they don't do rain checks and the managers end up having attitudes when you ask questions and more than half the time they don't clean and sanitize their cards and if you need help finding something they act like you're trying to ask for a miracle if I don't have an item it's like it's too much work for them to do their job and actually help you find it and don't ask for the corporate number because the only thing they're going to do is tell you just whooping your receipt it's not hard

This store is a great store. It's a good location. Staff there always helpful and friendly. Always has a good stock of everything. My only complaint is some employees and cashier's not wearing masks.

This store is small but has a lot of things I look for I can get in and out faster then waiting for other stores lines to ring up or do it myself. Almost never a wait to pay for my stuff.

This Foodlion and fifth street are both really helpful for me since I have had my stroke and I try to get to know most of these kind people and I know how hard it is for them to be polite because I dealt with customers for the past twenty years and it's not easy and I know some of these people personally and when they were much younger when my girls were younger but thank you

The Food Lion on Avon is very clean and all that work there they always check on you and see if you need anything I feel quite at home here comparing the other for Food Lions this is probably the cleanest in Charlottesville

It's a semi expensive grocery store with semi poor quality and customer service. If you're not in a complete bind, just go to Wegmens down the road. You'll probably save a bit of dough and definitely get better service and higher quality food.

I rarely visit this store as produce is never quite fresh and occasionally meat was not either. Lines can be long due to no real local competition. I may go in this store once a month or just for one or two things.

Of the Food Lions in C'Ville (Pantops, 5th St, South Side) this Food Lion is definitely the best. Least crowded, least riff raff. Friendliest employees.
