A larger store than the one I mostly shop at in Palmyra. Much better selection than Palmyra. Has all the things you need at great prices. Well managed store, always clean and organized. Generous aisles without the clutter of displays. Lots of specials sales.

I like Food Lion on Pantops. Nice wide aisles. Great food selection. Check out usually goes fast. At American grocery stores I love going up and down the food corridors being amazed with all the stuff gathered in one place.

The produce selection has always been great and in order. Julie, Robert and Aaron have been incredibly helpful and kind. I frequent this location at least 3 times a week - several hundreds of dollars spent.Feel it was time to share the positive of shopping this FL…should’ve done this sooner.

Pantops Food Lion is one of the best stores I've been in. The employees are very friendly and helpful, but the store is clean, neat, and organized. They really try to keep the stocked, and if you can't find it, they will find it for you. "AWESOME"!!!

Stood in line waiting to check-out while listening to the cashier compare her nails to the customer's nails and where they get them done. Complimenting each other on how good their nail's looked while the customer had $323 worth of groceries. The entire transaction & conversation took about 20 minutes. Do not plan on going back to this store anytime soon. Maybe the cashier & customer should chat about how good their nails look on Facebook and spare the other customer's that are waiting to checkout next time! Good grief....

Customer service is on top and very friendly.The employees always greet everyone and help you find what you need. If they are out. They suggest something similar. I miss Rosa that worked in the front but there are other employees that are fulfilling the loss of her. I won't shop any other place for my groceries.

Don’t mind the quietness as long as it’s not people just randomly coming to your car at night & think imma roll my windows down. I’m there trying to enjoy the alone time & getting personal things done. Car was even what seems to be broken into or at least someone tried too.

The shelves in this food lion were extremely neat. I was impressed. Felt like I was in Wegmans for a moment lol. (Due to the neat shelves) service was friendly but just like everything these days crazy expensive

The customer service women were extremely helpful with me and the multiple questions I had over the phone around 6:45. They were nice, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They were aware of the fact that they had Western Union. The ladies didn't have to go looking around to see if they did Western Union or ask someone. You have to appreciate good customer service. I shop here 1 to 3 times a week. Every time I buy deli meat, I have to hunt down a worker. Put a buzzer in to alert the people in back that a customer is waiting. Between 5 - 6, someone should be behind the counter. Otherwise a great place to shop. Deli still sucks! Person filling order could not help me and would not call someone from the back 1/24/23. Took my business giant instad.

While it is clean and bright, I personally like it MUCH less since they renovated/reorganized. I have difficulties with my legs getting progressively numb the more I am on my feet, and the wider aisles and food locations within the store make the walk time increased, while someone coming in to purchase alcohol is in and out in about 3 minutes. It no longer feels like the quaint corner store but more like a Walmart wanna-be.

It's conveniently close to my home. The parking is open and ample. The prices are competitive and sometimes even better than Kroger, which is where you should go if price is a factor. The problem here is attitude. I've had associates roll their eyes, scoff at me, or generally just have a combative attitude. I go each time hoping they'll redeem themselves with a kind word or presence. I'm disappointed every time I visit. Please set up a self checkout so I can avoid your angry, listless, and customer-aversive staff.

This is a good Food Lion, staff are a lil strange(personally think that's the case of a lot of Charlottesville- lol-very strange & uppity...my opinion). There are a couple workers that are very friendly & helpful, but, like everywhere, you've got some that just Wana paycheck & could care less about their customers.This Food Lion is stocked well usually & you can order online & pick up curbside. No self check-out which I hate! Otherwise, it's a solid store & worth visiting if you need some grub.

Food Lion is also owned by the same company as Giant, which is at the top of the hill. The staff is courteous and professional. Some things are more expensive here than they are at Giant and vice versa. I'll leave it up to you to decide which.

Food lion in general is a completely acceptable, straight forward grocery store. It is cheap and easy to navigate. There are plenty of choices for most items and the staff can actually tell you where to look for what you need.

Foodlion is my favorite grocery store!I get Sweet Tater to help me with things I can't find and Robert will help also. The store is always nice and clean cause Rambo is on the job keeping it that way. The meat dept is fantastic because of Skeeter and his crew work real hard to make it that way.

Clean, well stocked store. Friendly staff. Not five stars because their reader refused my card. Walked ten feet to the ATM, got the cash out and paid that way. Off the same card. Customer service did refund my ATM charges after I waited in line and showed I still had money on the refused card.

I like Food Lion. A lot of people don't but I appreciate their low prices. Now that they have added an organic section I'm really enjoying the savings I get there. I'm not crazy about their meat selections, although it's gotten better over the years and now they sell organic meats. But they don't have a large selection. It's not a gourmet grocery store, for special things I go to one of the competitors. But for every day necessities you can't beat them.

Been going here for many years. I have had no problems whatsoever in 25 years. Many people in Charlottesville have crazy fantasies about the supermarkets (and many other stores) around town, don't listen to them, just shop where you want.

I buy my coffee Häagen-Dazs ice cream at least 3-4 times a week. Most of the other stores run out pretty quickly 😞, however, this store almost always has it 😊! I mostly go there after work so I usually get my comfort snacks which I eat after dinner. Chocolate bar and coffee ice cream(not together lol). So expect them to have the necessary and maybe not so necessary;)
