My 82 year old friend just had the best experience. She was helped by the kind, attentive manager, Robert, at Dick’s on Wed morning. He spent a-lot of time explaining the return policy on some soccer cleats she had bought for her grandson. He took the time to get everything settled. She highly recommends the store and kudos to the Manager Robert.

I visited this store around noon this past Thursday.First, the store is huge! It connects with Field & Stream next door to give you an ultimate shopping experience.Second, I saw another review stating when you leave, you have to go through the checkout lines. When I left the store with no items, I simply walked out the way I came in with no problem.Third, the staff here are very helpful! They were quite busy at midday on a Thursday but I asked someone and question and was pointed in the right direction.I will definitely be back here again in the future!

It was a huge store which was connected to Field n Stream. If you are into sporting goods you certainly would find it in this store. I loved the items that was buy one get one free. My children love the display of the animals in the back. The store actually had employees walking around, making sure you found everything you wanted/needed. Over all it was a great shopping experience.

I was shopping for a new pair of sneakers. Most of the time sales people are over bearing and attack you before you even start looking. There was a nice gentleman named Logan who was very professional and helpful. He was quick to serve and gave me some good advice on the shoes I was interested in purchasing. If you're looking for a pair of shoes and want a person to help you without being pushy, "Logan is your guy!"

The prices are very high on everything and not very competitive with what you can get online. I would only go here to buy sports gear if I absolutely had too. I appreciate the fact that the store is huge and you have bills to pay...but we all do! Plus im pretty sure the points disappeared from my account when I was told they don't expire!

Best Buying Experience.Highly satisfied!!!First time buying a deer hunting pack, I didn't really know what I was looking for but I decided to go with archery instead of hunting rifles but didn't know what to choose from since there's a whole variety of bows and I didn't know much about it but Don and John helped me with everything, they explained me the features and conveniences of different bows so I could choose the best for my needs, but it wasn't all from Don and John, they also adjusted my new bow and took me for some target practice and also they helped me choosing all the accessories for my new bow.I highly recommend Don and John.

I was in this store looking to quickly buy a swimsuit. In the half hour I was there:-An associate spoke to my service dog instead of me, and I had to ask him not to twice because he was looking at my dog and didn't hear me/wasn't paying attention the first time.-The swimsuit sizes are very confusing. No one was available from the apparel department, which I notice is the entire center of the store, to explain.- An associate came over to help me. 30 seconds into helping me she got a call on her radio and had to take it. The call was about what kind of candy she wanted from someone at the front, and she discussed it for a minute or two while I stood there.-We were told to "Google the sizes". We did. It wasn't helpful.-The fitting room was dirty to include a wet bench (with what, I don't know. I'm hoping for a spilled water bottle because I sat in part of it accidentally).-A manager bringing big square wheely bins out to the middle aisle backed into the aisle briskly without looking and would have hit me or my dog if I hadn't stopped. He didn't appear to have noticed that he almost hit me and went back for another bin.I haven't been to the store in a while but it was recommended me as a place to get good swimsuit for lap swimming. I'm leaving frustrated instead.Maybe if you are already familiar with what you need you could duck in there and grab something if you don't need a fitting Room. Just be careful of wayward racks.

Massive place. Great selection on everything from outerwear,sporting equipment,firearms. Golfing section is awesome if you are a golfer. They could use a little more help but the help they have are super friendly,Informative. Clearance Section is a true Clearance Section mark downs are very noticeable.Can't wait to go back.

Been waiting a couple of weeks for the opportunity to come by to get some fishing hooks. Had a spare 30 minutes today but the fishing gear is in the new area, which is closed. What a waste of time! Should have saved my time and gas and ordered from Amazon.

So far, I've enjoyed having this store at this location. However, during this visit, it was made clear there is no efficient way to handle multiple "difficult" customers at the checkout line. I was second in line, but due to both cashiers on duty attending customers who were either making complicated returns or unreasonable requests, it took over 10 minutes of waiting.

Wanna give a much needed and overdue shout out to George in the fishing/tackle department; he has helped me on several occasions and has been nothing short of helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Excellent customer service. George has made Dick's my go-to spot for all my fishing needs. Thanks, George!

Had came in to do a return and the cashier that help us was able to do that fast and easy. We looked around the store and we had a few employees asked us if we needed anything. Store looked organized and clean. Employees were helpful.

2 failed online orders. First one disappeared, 2nd one hadn’t shipped 5 days after promised. Cancelled after 2 attempts to reach customer service. Was told by chat agent, issue would be forwarded to correct department, and never heard anything else.

Debit card was charged twice for the same transaction. The store told me I had to contact corporate customer service. After contacting them I was told there was nothing they could do but offer points whatever that means. Ultimately I just had to dispute the charge through my bank. I would be careful about shopping here unless you are paying in cash.

Would be higher, bit it seemed there was no one around to help. Went in the middle of the day, had to go around to the back of the store (in the cleats/shoe section) to ask for assistance. Once he came out, he was very nice. Went to go pay, the lady/girl at the register wasn't rude, but darn sure wasn't nice either..... One would think that as the last thing you see/hear once you've spent your hard earned money.... Is a friendly goodbye, a thank you, see you next time, enjoy... Something more than, here ya go..... I'll be back, but only because I have to, not because I want to..

Purchased a treadmill from this place. They’re good inside the store. But the delivery was terrible, took 3 weeks for them to schedule and then the entire day for the guy to arrive at my home. He was carrying that heavy treadmill by himself and damaged my wall as well. Not recommending the delivery option from this location.

Great pick up service. Ordered item from parking lot. Left to make a couple of runs, came back and picked it up, while others fumbled masks going into the store. I was outside safe and sound. Great service!

I wanted to send a shout out to Jeff Corbett, from the Charlottesville Dick's Sporting Goods Store. We ordered some kayaks on-line and had some trouble with the order. Jeff went above and beyond his job responsibilities to solve our problem. Jeff was professional and efficient. We are thankful he was there to take care of us.

This place has everything needed for sports; great selection. My only concern is that it's pricy, therefore, I rarely go there because I can get things cheaper elsewhere including on the Internet. Too bad, it's so convenient being next to Wegmans. The staff is awesome though, so compliments to them and management for giving a good customer experience.

Awful service. Called beforehand to see if I could return an under armor mask I had purchased early today- they said yes on the phone then refused to return it in person. I called before because I knew it would be odd for them to accept it as a return. Honor what you say on the phone!!!

I am in the golf section looking at shorts. The employees in that section just ignored me I had to ask them for help. It was 2 employees a heavier set guy with curly hair also a taller guy with a golf club walking toward the back.

Bought a kayak, paddle & mount system.Nick helpd me from the beginning.He got the kayak for me & helped me pick out a paddle. Nick, Shawn, & Steven helped me mount my kayak on my car in the freezing cold with wonderful attitudes. That's going above & beyond. Thanks guys! Give them a bonus please!
