Pharmacy has gotten a lot better than the pandemic days. Lines are shorter. I don’t use the drive-through. I always walk inside.

I went here for my drive-thru COVID-19 test. The young lady at the window failed to acknowledge that I was there even after the only other vehicle had pulled off. I waited another 4 minutes as she walked away from the window and proceeded to talk to another employee. Customer service is lost on some people. I then had to call back to ask for additional information and the rude employee on the phone acted as if they had a million more things to do that was more important than answering some simple questions. I absolutely would not recommend using this pharmacy unless you have no other choice.Terrible attitudes with the people I dealt with.

After having used this CVS pharmacy for years, we have now switched all of our prescriptions to a different one. The employees are helpful and friendly, but it appears that they are overworked and understaffed. Lines are long, phones are not being answered, and prescription are not ready when they should be.

It is obvious management doesnt careby the looks of thesereviews. Also i was told today that after CVS charged my insurance, there was nothing they could do to help me. I can not imagine charging someone, then telling them tbey cant have the product. I moved my meds away a while back because of constant issues, but this one time I thought I would try a one time pick up . Bad move. Maybe corporate needs to take a look at this store. 👎👎👎

I waited in line for 15 minutes to pick up a prescription, to be told by the cashier that it was on hold and that I needed to speak to the pharmacist. I then waited for 30 minutes and left. I’ve called 6 times, on hold for at least 15 minutes each time and no one has ever answered the phone. I just transferred all of my prescriptions to Costco. I don’t blame the employees. They are obviously doing the best they can.

The employees here are wonderful. Their pharmacists are top notch and have cared for our family for years. It used to be a really well-run and resourced pharmacy. CVS corporate has stripped down their resources and made the pharmacists stop their impossible workload to administer vaccines. This has lead to a backlog of Rx refills and employee turnover. Customers shout at them on the regular.I had to change recently because any Rx's sent in are placed "in process." I found this out because I wanted to move my Rx's to the Target CVS but they could not pull them over due to being in process at the other branch. The only way to get them going was to show up in person, wait in a long line, to be told that it has not been filled and to ask for it to be processed ASAP. One time, I was almost out of my medication that had been in process for over a week. So I went in person, and they could not fill it because they were closing soon. It was Fri night and they were closed all weekend for the holiday-when I picked up the Rx on Monday, I had run out of pills. That was unacceptable to me so we moved.

My insurance now requires me to use CVS or it will cost way to much elsewhere. I used to use CVS and moved all my scripts to Kroger because CVS is so bad. The hold time on the phone is ridiculous. The wait at the drive through is horrible. I don't blame the staff. I blame corporate for their greedy ways like under staffing and low pay. The turn over of staff is constant. I'm absolutely dreading using the pharmacy again.

I want to recognize the pharmacist Denise Sanders. She is always helpful, gives great customer service and goes out of her way to show she cares. I have been a customer for many years at CVS and no matter how busy it is or how difficult the situation she is always someone I can count on. Thanks!

This CVS seems to have trouble keeping pharmacy staff and has limited pharmacy hours which leads to lines. That said they are courteous, helpful and accurate. Store prices are OK during sales and with coupons.have a wide variety of CVS branded OTC medications.

Because of my insurance I have to deal with CVS monthly. They are, without fail, terrible in every way. The staff is ineffectual and rude. They routinely make errors in my rx’s. And the hours are inconvenient and arbitrary (drive thru is now closed. Apparently the pharmacy is now closed Sunday, and the pharmacy is closed at lunch. On top of this, they’ll never answer the phone.)All CVS’s are terrible. The hollymead CVS is even worse than usual.

If I could give a minus rating it would be too much. Avoid this store if humanly possible. The staff at the pharmacy is highly disrespectful and openly rude. The pharmacist is nasty as well. My perceptions are so fouled up. Unfortunately my health insurance only offers cvs for prescriptions. Just nasty infuriating experience.

This CVS location has low ratings for a reason. It is short staffed, like many other retail outfits, but additionally it is poorly run. The pharmacist will get on the phone and promise you a medication at a specific time but when you arrive for pick up a couple hours *after* the promised time, the employee at the counter will tell you how busy they are, how many other obligations the pharmacy has, ask you to come back in 45, or the next day, and...just go somewhere else. Another chain, not just another CVS location.

Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but CVS for your prescriptions if you can. The ineptitude at this location is astounding. My daughter had 3 scripts that needed to be filled. They were dropped off 3 days ago. The facility that provided those scripts is based in NC. 2 of them were filled yesterday just fine. The third was sent to a CVS in NC for filling, because evidently Virginia and North Carolina are the same states. Go back today, May 7th, 2022 to pick up the third. We're told the script is on hold. Then told insurance won't cover it because the refill is too soon (12 days left on her current script). THEN we're told "we don't have insurance on file for her" which is amazing because it was put in for refill with two others and they had her insurance info for those on file. THEN TO TOP IT OFF, the pharmacist tried to refuse to give us the script because unbeknownst to me, her father, SHE IS ALLERGIC TO THIS MEDICATION! This is news to me, because she has been taking this med for a month and a half under medical supervision. Yes, she does have an allergy to A DIFFERENT PILL BUT NOT THIS ONE! CVS has become such a joke, and such a nuisance to deal with. Do yourself a favor and use the pharmacy at Costco. No membership is required for the pharmacy if I understand correctly. That's where mine are filled, and I'm not a member. The service is great and the prices leave CVS in the dust. CVS either needs a major overhaul or just needs to fade into the shadows like many other retail giants like Sears and K-mart have done.

My prescription was in “in process” status on the app for 5 hours, so I tried calling, but ended up waiting for 30 minutes and no one picked up. The drive through lane was closed. Long lines at both the consultation and pick up windows. Only 1 person working the register and 1 pharmacist. Once I got to the pickup window I was told there was “an issue” with my prescription and I wouldn’t be able to get it today, but to go to the consultation line to get the issue figured out. I get to the front of the consultation line and was told that they are closed.

Super limited hours...they're just never open when I need to pick up my prescriptions. Hope they extend their hours at some point in the future. In the meantime, I'll just have to go elsewhere for my routine meds.

I am usually a big fan of CVS but this was not a good experience. I had to wait an extended amount of time for my prescription, plus they never called to let me know it was even ready. The location is also a bit inconvenient, which I could have overlooked if not for the poor pharmacy service. I will not be filling my prescriptions here anymore.

will not answer the phone even though they said they would pick up when i was in there yesterday. tired of driving there just to find out if they got the delivery or not. they have been out of stock for a week. they finally answered the phone after i called 3 times and was on hold for just over an hour total. (i’m already arrived at their store about to go in just to ask a yes or no question) so annoying. (i did not call them during lunch hours)

This is the worst pharmacy to use . The pharmacist needs to be fired . She lied to me about the status of my diabetic monitor for a month , she never ordered it . She proceeded to be smart & rude over the phone very unprofessional. A manager did help with a solution but this woman have to go ! I am transferring my medication to Walgreens

Is there any way to clone Denise Sanders? Too bad it can't be done. Without a doubt, she is the most helpful, compassionate pharmacists in this area. My family and I have been served by this CVS and Denise for over twenty years and we appreciate so much her spirit and helpful attitude. Blessing to you Denise.

Worst place to try and get prescriptions filled. Constantly ignoring phone calls, long lines taking 30 or more minutes to even reach a counter. CVS needs to get it together and pay people enough that they won’t have this “short staffing” issue.

I went there today to get my meds that were due to be filled cause I'm OUT! TO ONLY FIND THEY WERE CLOSED!!! Nobody answers the phone anymore and now they don't have any pharmacist on staff cause they quit!!!! This company is putting to much on the pharmacist. This is Not a Dr office so I don't know why they are building these lil clinics inside the store?? If you want to do that, fine, but don't make the pharmacist do it!! They are not Dr's. Hire a nurse Praction or R.N to do that job. Not a pharmacist!!

I went in to get some toothbrushes and toothpaste, I did have some coupons, the young lady at the register had some problems scanning them, but she was trying.Then the manager DIANE come up with an ugly attitude when she saw the coupons, she look annoyed because I was telling the cashier about the coupons in my cvs app.I don't know what her problem was?If cvs give coupons is for use them!The money for the coupons don't come up from her pocket.She get paid for help and serve the costumer.There was not a line of peoples behind me( I was the only costumer in the whole store)I will call to the costumer service tomorrow to report her, as a manager she should have a better attitud.I been in a lot of cvs around never have a experience like that, the associate's and managers always been nice and helpful.I ended cancel my transaction..... She should get another job if she don't like to deal with peoples!!!!

I've only had an issue with how long it takes for the pharmacy answer and one young lady who works the pharmacy register and window is rude every time. She forgets she needs to be nice to the customer. Always an attitude like she's being bothered! Sour face we call her. Not good with the public.

Been calling them since last Friday. On hold 20 plus minutes each time. No one picks up the phone in the pharmacy.6 days later I go to get a prescription. The answer to why they weren't answering the phone was they had 2 people staffed. No apology. Still only 2 people there.

The pharmacy is not functioning today, 7/15/22, because of internet difficulties. The phone also does not connect to the front desk or pharmacy. Suggestion is to use a different brand of store.

Don't do it. Just go to Wallgreens for your pharmacy needs.Literally every single time I go in there, their registers are down, or they haven't even attempted to fill the prescription.Go to Wallgreens. Don't waste your time or money with CVS.

Don't go here for covid testing. They leave out the samples to an overflowing point (all day) and let's get real, It's VA and summer. We've been educated about this virus to the point where these results can change how the person has to go about their future. So now you know that their either too busy to hire someone else or their lazy. But I will say that the girl who helped us was super sweet and I personally give her 5 stars! She slay!💅

I have gone to this location several times to pick up a prescription or shop. On every occasion, there has not been the enforcement of the Governor’s mask mandate. Even in the pharmacy, a customer was standing at the cash register for ten minutes with his mask pulled down and chewing on his finger nails while neither the cashier nor the pharmacist said a word. As I walked out, I saw another woman and a worker with no mask.

Pharmacy is not up to par had someone tell me that the medication for my daughter could have been filled but I have to wait till after they go to lunch to lift something I don't know because he don't know what to do so I wait over an hour and no phone call but then when I call back nobody's answering I literally said on the phone for 30 minutes and still no answer so I had to transfer my daughter's medication mind you my daughter is 1 years old we went to her appointment at 11:00 it is now 3:40
