I gave it 5 stars, because the cashier there today was super friendly and I loved her happy vibes.The store itself needs a little help unpacking and shelfing, but really with everybody being short staffed this is to be expected.For any re-sellers needing boxes for shipping, you might be in heaven when you see what they have had outback today. It's yours for the asking.Located close to Food Lion

Dollar general is a store that pretty much has anything that you want at a very low price the only problem is it is very small store and the store has very few employees and most of the time the stock is usually sitting on carts in the aisles so you have to walk around it but it is a very stock store and usually you can find I usually find what I want but sometimes I don't it just depends on I can ask the manager to usually order what I need.

Was passing through on our way home. I honestly dont know what I walked into. THE WORST store I have ever seen. I dont see how anybody could find what they needed in that store. It looked like a tornado ripped through the store. We went to the toy isle looking for pokemon cards for my son to open to keep him occupied for the last hour and a half of our trip. Asked the guy at front and he had some but with no price. I asked if he could check and the lady straight up told him no. When I asked about it she said corporate gets made when they check prices. Wasnt even nice about it. The whole time we were in there she was complaining. Just straight nasty attitudes and store. They had a couple packs but we decided not to buy because of her attitude. I honestly felt like a burden in the store and having to ask her for anything. It was Sunday afternoon around 5pm. So who ever that was she needs some training on how to treat customers.

store alway dirty and overstock;isles always blocked;cheating shoppers with the switch and bait routine; I have complained that the shelf price does match the register price for months;I will no longer shop at this site as well as the Eastville DG;same thing

We are staying in Cape Charles for the week. We have been in the multiple times, during the visits. Not one employee has acknowledged our present. It’s sad. The self check out is the only register ever open. This place definitely needs a makeover on the store & staff.

The staff were unable to complete a full aentence to answer a question. Amazed me they obviously didn't want to be there with so many looking for jobs. The store was dirty and unorganized, bathroom was out of service, and the general feel was crummy.

There aren't a lot of shopping options in the area, and we depended on this dollar store during our week conducting a mission trip in the area. I got a towel and some supplies for a student who has lost some of their items. It's a dollar store, I will say this one was comparatively somewhat poorly stocked but I assume that's because they go through a lot of merchandise. One issue is the parking lot doesn't drain well, at one point I got out of the van parking into probably 4 inches of water. Not sure what the issue is, but the back corner definitely floods. Staff were polite and fast for a dollar store checkout. A good pick if you need some stuff Food Lion won't have, as Walmart is 45 minutes away. Cheap, and you get what you pay for, as usual with dollar stores.

This is our 2nd year camping at KOA Cape Charles and this place is just as bad as it was last year. I don't believe its the fault of the 1 person running the store. The place is a mess to put it mildly. Shelves not stocked at all. Inventory everywhere. I needed 6 "C" batteries for my pump to blow up floaty and could not find them anywhere. Guess where I found them....on the floor. SMH.... I feel bad for the 1 saleslady working doing her best. I can't imagine how much inventory they've lost due to theft. They are the only one around for at least 20-30 miles.

This place looks like a bomb went off in side and the clerk there could not have been nastier. You had to wait at the counter for them to finally show up. Then stood there and berated me because I went to the wrong register. I would recommend not going there no matter what you needed even if they were giving it away.

The new renovation on the store looks excellent. The shelves are finally stocked up. The store is clean. You can finally find what you're looking for without all kinds of stuff being in your way.

Service was fine store was trashed on 7/4 not enough help to keep picked up. But the cashier showed me where printer paper was. So service was good. The closed cashier opened as I approached as other cashier was on floor.

This Dollar store has sweet, and hard working employee's that have been extreamly patient and kind to me over the past 3-4yrs! I come here weekly and love to shop their great sales. I dont know what I'd do without this store.

If you're overweight like I am, there is definitely no clothes option here for us big folks. Only complaint I have...aside from the lady that served us. Would it hurt to smile and not look like you hate life?

I went to the store to pick up some Neosporin. When I went to checkout the price was double the price of what was on the shelf. The cashier said they had it in the wrong place and told me the Neosporin I picked up wasn't the one that was cheaper...instead of giving me the price it was clearly placed at like Walmart honors their customers.. They didn't !! I'll forever stick with Walmart!?!

They stole $20.00 from me. I paid twice for a purchase and the fat dark skin cashier took my 20 dollars twice....I was distracted because of my grandchildren were creating a ruckus. So as I was handing another 20 I was wondering how she know I'm going to give her a 20 because she was already making change for a 20 well it was because I had already given it to her. I looked in my wallet because I had taken only 40 bucks to the store and had only the change of 7 buck from a 13 dollar purchase that cost me 27 bucks and some charge.

Horrendous conditions in that store, absolutely nothing in stock. All crates and rail carts are line throughout the store so walking is nearly impossible.

If you are high risk, stay away. No Covid precautions and employees are not wearing masks. Store is severely disheveled, dirty and the shelves are empty.
