New Freedom farm is an amazing place for veterans and their families. It is always a calm and relaxing experience and makes it a great place for anyone who has difficulty finding fun and exciting activities for their families. While the primary goal of the farm is to help veterans, they have helped other people and horses in need. I highly recommend that anyone who needs a place to go either with or without their family, should go to New Freedom Farm and see what its all about.

I have made monthly contributions to New Freedom Farm, Without ever visiting or meeting the owner. I believe in their cause. Our Veterans are under -appreciated & neglected. I recently volunteerd for an event & I was NOT disappointed. I witnessed 1st hand what a wonderful place this is for our veterans, even witnessed the calming effect of the horses on Veterans! New Freedom Farm is amazing, I will volunteer again & Will continue to contribute to their cause!!!!

As a veteran that suffers from PTSD I feel so blessed to have found New Freedom Farm. This amazing place that allows hurting people to heal, at their own pace with no judging. The amazing people that run this place have so much concern for all who enter the property. The owners Lois and Mitch don't just say they care they show it every day with all that they do. How they care for not just the people but the animals as well.Thank you New Freedom Farm for being a sanctuary for all who enter. Animals and humans alike.

This place has helped my family so much over the past few years. Lois, Mitch, and all the volunteers are amazing. Even my kids ask all the time when we are going there again so they can pet the horses. Love what they do an everything about New Freedom Farm, keep it going, our veterans needed this.

I was not able to attend the grand opening of New Freedom Farm last year, and I heard there was going to be a fund raising concert, I booked my room for staying 5 days well before the scheduled date. I have heard for years that caring and working with horses has very good results. The respect and responses from hundreds of people that are now aware of the farm is phenomenal. So many horses short and tall, so many volunteers that lend a hand to help our PTSD veterans get better is unbelievable. And the fact that you have this young lady sharing her thoughts everyday on the importance of believing in yourself is real. Every word that is spoken by Lois is from her heart going out to hundreds and hundreds of people. People who may not suffer from PTSD but are willing to share her words to others so they make get better is a blessing. The energy of the farm is there everyday. The caring is honest. The surrounding towns know of New Freedom Farm. I would schedule another vacation there to help out.

Amazing! A blessing for SO many!! Lois and Mitchell, along with their wonderful volunteers, have created a beautiful, sacred and safe place for our veterans to go to. This farm very quickly becomes a second home for many to feel safe, feel the comfort of other veterans and to feel the healing that happens when around animals. So grateful these beautiful human beings chose Botetourt County to call home 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️

I've known the owners of New Freedom Farm after I received a phone call from Lois Dawn. She was extremely distraught about a pregnant mare at New Holland Auction and Lois rescued her from possible slaughter but needed immediate transport as the Mare was full term in her pregnancy and was showing signs of stress. I did in fact go and picked up the Mare and brought her to this amazing farm. Lois Dawn and her husband Michell were extremely thankful and gracious. The concern and love they show to not only animals but to our Veterans cannot be denied. I am proud and thankful that to this day I can call in them at anytime and know they are there for me as I was for them. I am grateful to have them in my life and call them my friends. I highly recommend New Freedom Farm

New Freedom Farm is a peaceful place where Lois and her team of volunteers, both human and 4-legged, are saving lives by opening their hearts to those who are hurting. Sometimes just having a safe, tranquil place to visit can make all the difference for an individual who is in pain or confused about their life. No one works harder than Lois Fritz to maintain that peaceful, safe place which is New Freedom Farm. We have supported her since she came to Buchanan and will always have her back when she needs us.

Lois Damn has made New Freedom Farm a sanctuary for our veterans, men and woman behind the badge and volunteers to come where no judgement is passed, and where kindness and love are felt multitudes. Peaceful setting housing extremely well cared for horses in a clean well kept facility. I was blessed with a visit recently. I had no idea what to expect. I was welcomed with open arms, smiles and laughter. I felt included and immediately knew I found a home away from home where I wouldn't be judged. Spending time with the horses made my soul smile. Highly recommend. I can't wait to go back!

New Freedom Farm is a great organization joining horses and veterans. It's a great place to visit because the people who operate the organization and the volunteers make everyone feel welcome. The horses, both large and small (and even a mule!) bring joy to the heart. As a nonprofit, NFF, relies on peole like me and you to visit and support the farm. I encourage you to visit!

Such a beautiful peaceful place for both animals and humans alike. As soon as you set foot on the gravel driveway, serenity resonates through ones self. A feeling that can only be described as coming home, the curators and volunteers welcome all with open arms and ears to listen to YOUR story. If you feel that a human ear is not what you want to talk to then there are a potpourri of equine ears ready to help sooth a worried soul. As a fellow horse(s)owner, their facility is well kept and utd and provides a refreshing change from a NJ landscape. I would like to thank all the Veterans that have and will pass through their property for your dedication and service and hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Lois and Mitch have become family to me. They and the farm have helped me out of dark holes more than once and continue to support and guide me. The farm offers a place for non judgmental support and encouragement no matter what you’re going through. I honestly don’t know where I would be without new freedom farm. It’s a family ❤️

I love coming out to the farm because it is a Place Where You Can Just Be!! Nothing is demand of you here. You want to play with horses play with them. You want to walk around the property Walk around the property. You want to talk with a Veteran who gets where you are coming from, They are there. I have a 11 yr old with autism and a 3 year old who has had three open heart surgeries, and my husband is a Marine Veteran who suffers from PTSD. Our family has the odds stacked against us and Lois and her team have went above and beyond for our family. They have a saying “ No Soldier Left Behind!” And man this place takes that to a whole New Level.

New Freedom Farm has proven their commitment in assisting all veterans. Simply, 22 veterans suicides a day is unacceptable. Therefore, NFF is committed to being part of the solution that truly heals our heroes!

Great, relaxing place with plenty of friendly faces... including the animals!!My husband suffers from PTSD and we as family suffer on a secondary level. New Freedom Farm gives support to the Verterans and their family. My husband loves the farm because he is with other people that know what he had been through, going through and will continue to go through daily. They give him a comfort that not even i, as good wife can give him. It's a bond they have even though they never met before. My husband says that being with other military people gives him the feeling of safety and security he cannot get elsewhere. He does not frequent stores it largely populated areas because the soldier in him takes over and he cannot relax. Those of you with loved ones that truly suffer from PTSD know what I mean and the New Freedom Farm gives Verterans a safe, comforting place to be. To be able to leave their home for just a few hours is a huge step for some that come to the farm. For the families that don't understand what the Verterans is going through, The farm with it's family members can help you to understand. You can know that we cannot get our spouses to go shopping either. PTSD isn't something you just ,"get over" or pretend it didn't happen.Sorry, I could go on and on... But honestly unless you are the Veteran suffering or the family that is pained by their suffering, or have the open, caring heart that trys to understand their plight, you won't understand the magnitude of how a place like New Freedom Farm can help. Keep up the excellent work Lois! When you do what's right in your heart, you can't go wrong!

New Freedom Farm is NOT a horse rescue—it never was promoted to be anything other than a safe haven for veterans to interact with the equines. Also, the facility does not claim to provide any type of “equine therapy,” horseback riding or lessons of any kind. The only claim this facility has made is to offer veterans and others suffering with PTSD or substance abuse a relaxing, stress-free environment to spend time with equines and other animals. Tessa Williams, you are comparing apples to an ear of corn in your comments. Perhaps, you should do more research into what this AMAZING non-profit is about and what is offered here—you just may be impressed. Equine Therapy is an entirely “different animal” (pun intended).Furthermore, Lois Fritz literally touches and actually SAVES lives every day by offering suicidal veterans and others suffering with PTSD a safe place to feel loved and enjoy the serenity of just petting and walking the equines with simple interaction and bonding time.

New Freedom Farm located in Buchanan, Virginia is a place where our Veterans lives are transformed. "Healing Humans through Horses" is what NFF is all about. it is a place where MAGIC happens.... Veteran's who suffer from PTSD and substance abuse come to the farm to find peace and to heal. It is a place where there is no pressure to do anything but to just BE. The founder of NFF out of her personal experience understands the relief she experienced through time spent with horses.I highly recommend that any Veteran who needs help to reach out NFF and it's team of volunteers. We are all here for you.

I've shared the "Dream," from the ,GET GO! When I was made to understand Miss. Lois Dawn's , frightened real experience with PSTD! In details ; I knew , I had a forevermore friend with Lois and her hunk of a Hottie Mitchell Budget! Who I'm pretty sure Mitchell's the most caring supportive husband, with Lois Dawn, which is suck a big Blessing! He is so bonded to Lois that he knows when she needs a much needed break!! Last year as I make my point; Dear big hearted Lois Dawn needed to be pulled from all her: follower's, Veteran's, friend's , and simply take a date with her husband, rest, take Long hot bath, with candles!! As we all need a rest now and then!! But less than a week later, she met with , many IMPORTANT , people, who gave the New FREEDOM'S Farm many thousands of dollar's to jeep up this fabulous, healing for Miss. Lois and other's that needed so much help!I've worked with Veteran's with PSTD, and biker friends, I've loss many to self-demolition Lois Dawn , has done her homework, 22 Veteran's with PSTD and severe depression , end their live's , because, the flipping VA, is understaffed, missing good qualification , physiologist! And I can say the VA in Long Beach, California sucked buttermilk for my Grandpa, and my Daddy! One more thing about the Houston, VS hospital is you might as well pack a lunch and supper, it's an all day affair there! The newest one built near my home in Later, Texas, is understaffed, very few want to finish out the time in the service, and have to apologise all the time!As Lois Dawn Dreamt, she's found a softness, a chance to breathe, taught seven HORSE'S, to lay down with her on the ground, one was a wild Stallion! PERHAPS you've heard our president signed for the BIULDING of two new SLAUGHTERHOUSE'S, because there's the ol' mighty buck, for bourse meat all over other third World countries , and socialised, normal , human's who help to kill these magnificent animals!!But that's going to take and act of GOD to stop, because these ass wipe' s are padding there pockets, while the babies are taken away from their MOMMA and left to die!!Lois Dawn HAS saved many rescues, retrained them, at simply have love, kimdness, caring and a forevermore home!! Where a peaceful time is sent aside for our men and women who put down their live's daily, but at what cost??New FREEDOM'S FARM is a non-profitable business, which need's , help by volunteers, brushers, people who know while spending time, with said horse's , can heal their broken spirits as well! Yes, Miss. LOIS HAS BACKERS , BUT CAN USE MORE, THERE'S AND AWFUL LOT OF HURT, FRIGHTENED, PSTD VETERANS OUR THERE, THAT WANT A GOOD REASON TO LIVE!! OUR LOIS DAWN AND HER HUSBAND MITCHELL BUDGET, KINDLY INVITE Y'A'll's to head out and stop by, call if youbdont mind, many peaceful healing's are going on daily! I'm am so very honored to be a part of this, that started with KUST a dream, to make other's whole once more! Thank you for taking these soul's in to feel better, Lois Dawn, Texas Love's Y'ALL!!
