We found this little gem today and had the best time! The food was delicious and they had the best Bloody Mary’s. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Such a fantastic atmosphere and they played some damn good music while we were there. I loved absolutely everything about this place. Great place to hang and talk to the locals. We cannot wait to come back!

The food was pretty good and the dive bar atmosohere was also kind of fun. But the fact that they completely ignor smoking ordinances was a huge turn off. The place reaked of stale cigarette smoke and had several people smoking and chatting inside. Not at all the friendlyness we usually encounter when trying local restaurants. Overall it would have been very acceptable if not for the smoke. If they ignor that law, what health measures are they ignoring?They are missing an opportunity to make this a nice place.

It's a bar and grill. A cool place to be. I see some negative reviews and I'm thinking... it's a bar with a grill. It's not the Marriott! It's exactly what it needs to be for a southern boy from Mississippi.

This might be one of those "best kept secret" spots. It's a fantastic little bar/diner rumored to have paranormal activity. The burgers are awesome. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Great staff. They have a single pool table and some regulars who could probably play billiards professionally. The bar seats about 20. There are a few booths in the main bar area and a large round table that could seat about 10. They have an outdoor patio that is fully enclosed around all sides, benches along the walls, and an outdoor table and chairs. They have a stage in another area for live music. They have daily specials like BBQ sandwiches, fried catfish, chicken tenders, and some house specials that are all delicious. The only negative I can see is there isn't a ton of parking. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner, a beer, a game of pool/darts. Happy hour is 4 - 7. Try the "Carnival Fries". Seriously good. UPDATE: DJ Friday nights, Karaoke Saturday nights, Free Pool Sundays. On Friday, Feb. 4th, several patrons were gathered around the pool table area when a glass globe from a wall sconce lifted itself off it's base and shattered on the floor near the billiards table. Nobody was anywhere near it when this occurred. This was the first paranormal incident I personally witnessed. I was skeptical about the "haunted" rumors. Now, I think something paranormal really is going on there. Would love to see if a team of ghost hunters could do an investigation and find some answers.

Friends took a ride from Roanoke to Good Times close to Buchanan Virginia.The building is the same as many other businesses in the past but today's crazy world and economy has been turned upside down.But at Good Times we enjoy the great food and warm service. We need to get back into the community and put our neighbors back on a more regular economic health.I find Good Times a great place to go for a meal or adult drink.

I was not sure about my choice of restaurants when we walked in. It was more of a bar and pool hall with a few locals drinking at the bar on a rainy Saturday afternoon. You could tell it had been around for a long time because I could smell the faint odor of a smoky bar. However, my pulled pork and coleslaw were delicious and definitely hand made. My father loved his burger and my son had one of the catfish specials left over from Friday. It was tender and perfectly cooked with a nice breading that wasn't too heavy. The fries were definitely frozen ones from a food supply company but they were cooked perfectly and the oil was not old. So I was quite pleasantly surprised. The waitress was attentive.

Terrible place. If you’re not a townie, don’t even try going. Imagine the scene from ‘my cousin vinny’ where Vinny goes to the bar to collect from the guy Lisa hustled in pool. You’re immediately made to feel unwelcome by the folks already there in no uncertain terms. They’re not following any particular CDC guidelines or even state laws apparently, since folks were smoking at their tables and at the bar. I asked for a menu, and the bartender - the only employee identifiable - refused and told us essentially there wasn’t anything there for my wife and I to eat (‘Grill’s off but the fryer’s on. We don’t have onions, wings”(or the special advertised on their whiteboard in the middle of the restaurant plain as day). This was 8pm.Long story short, smelly hole In the wall teeny townie bar where we (and any other out of Towner’s of course) are not welcome. Don’t waste your time on this place.

It's a bit deceptive from the outside but this is actually a bar. That said, they offer fried baloney sandwiches! It was really tasty, thick cut, and brought back fond memories of my white trash roots.

Ate at Good Times Café on Saturday. The young lady was working by herself and did an excellent job of taking care of all her patrons that came in. She was very courteous and professional. The food was excellent and more than you can eat was served. Will go there again!!!!!!!

The food was outstanding, the service was even better, love it......the ambiance awesome, great place laid-back relaxed. Stopped there with some friends on motorcycle road trip, thinking seriously about going back by myself, it was so great.

Cozy, local crowd usually with regulars that stop in, okay prices and good food. Pool table, large room in the back, and enclosed patio area with seating. Parking in front and out back.
