I went to the Buchanan Virginia Flea Market. I'm guessing it's a local treasure. Good for the community and the surrounding economy. It's grown and is usually packed when the weather is good. Get there early if you can. The field is huge with lots of room so vendors and booths are not on top of each other. Caution on entering. There was a small dip when you leave the route 11 pavement and pull in. I didn't scrape in my low sedan so not too bad. Just enter slowly. This place is cool. They have portable restrooms, a restaurant, outdoor covered seating, and a large stage/amphitheater type thing where music can happen. Absolutely must try the biscuit and gravy from the little restaurant. It's fantastic and affordable. You can find almost anything when this place is crowded. Rows of vendors line up down the field. Tons of the freshest, "organic" produce at great prices. Furniture, tools, electronics, leather goods, crafts, jewelry, military goods, fruits, snacks, and vegetables, you name it. The staff keeps this place very clean and well organized. It was $10 for an all day vendor booth. Not sure if that's still the case. Easy 5 stars. That's how a flea market should be done. Fantastic.

First time visit here did not disappoint! A nice mixture of items, including lots of vintage and antiques. And really friendly crowd. We bought a lot of stuff. We will come again. A true flea market. This is coming from someone that hates new stuff and goods from China! Good old fashioned outdoor flea!

Find great deals. Friendly down home people.Tools, movies, cds, cassette, antiques, crafts, clothing. Breakfast and lunch served to buy while you shop. Down by the James River with a beautiful scenery of the blueridge.

Great layout for a flea market. Numerous vendors and easy come and go parking. Food and bathrooms available. Overall a nice place to shop.
