Great place for walking, camping, and there's a large playground for kids. Also many shelters for picnics or family events.

Great dog park, great walking trails, shelters, playgrounds... all right here in Bristol. Also - historical significance. The Resting Tree is powerful. It's not enough to honor those who rest there, but it is a beautiful and somber experience to visit.Dog-friendliness: The dog park isn't too popular, usually a dog or two, but it's a great place. I've taught my dog to do the obstacle course features.

Awesome park! Beautiful disc golf course, wonderful trails, great playground. So glad we found this place!1 week later edit: we have found the giant trail map! There is over 11 miles of trails around here! We have tried to walk a lot of them so far. This will continue to be a family adventure! See you on the trails (or up the dam )

Great park for the most part. Finding the amenities is the hardest part. For those that know, there is;1. Good trailer camping in the back2. Trial bike trials all over through the woods3. A 18 hole disc golf course4. Paved 1 mile walking/running track5. Paved and unpaved trials through the woods6. Softball and soccer fields (though some are closed when not scheduled)7. Nature marsh boardwalk behind the damn8. Horseshoe pits (bring your own horseshoes)9. Playground for the kids10. Large picnic pavilions (in the back and I think reservations are needed)

Wow! This park is nicer than I thought. It has paved trails as well as natural trails through the woods, forest, stream, etc... and gravel too. I love the portion of the trail in the woods with many wooden bridges crossing the stream and pond. This park has many open grassy area for picnic. There are sport fields, large parking areas strategically located based in with part of the park you want to visit. It is also very dogfriendly!! I plan on stopping by again on my way home. This park is also very clean!!

Definitely, my favorite local park to go to! Walking trails, mountain bike trails, disk golf course(which is huge), sights to see, you could walk for a full day and still not see everything this place has to offer. I do photoshoot there also in the rowed off pine trees section of the park, just a great place to get your outdoors feel good on without having to drive to the country to do so.

Lots of things to do here. I personally came for a trail run and was challenged with the elevation changes. I saw soccer fields, Frisbee golf, hiking trails, and other activity areas. Also important to me was easy access from i-81, as I was passing through the area on my travels. Lots of families, dogs, individuals...seems to have something for everyone.

Great place to take a walk and see western Virginia. Some unusual structures here that mention they are property of the US Government. Wet lands running water, pine trees, frisbee golf, and beautiful landscape.

This place really surprised us. We travel to Bristol all the time. This park is located right across target off exit 7 on I-81. Always noticing this place and never checking it out. We finally decided it was time. Discovering that it's also a campground, this place has disc golf and a sports complex. I didn't get to take many pictures since we briefly went here but did check out this wetland preserve that they have with trails and bridges. With so much to offer and how beautiful everything is. I'd say you must stop here and check it out yourself. I'll surely share more pictures and update this again when we go back.

Disc golf course is really nice. Plenty of long holes and a streak of woods golf. Great, challenging course. The park itself is beautiful as well.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome in the park. Please pick up after your pet.

I had driven past the park several times & I have no idea how I didn't notice it!! The park is absolutely amazing!!! I have never been to a park that boasts having wetlands, but it was the best part of the visit. The wildlife was plentiful & there were few people on the trail. I did check out some of the other areas & there are a plethora of ball fields, a creek, a disc golf course, a playground & there's supposed to be a dog park, but I never found it. The park was wonderfully clean & well maintained - except for the dog feces around the main parking area left by selfish, lazy people who shouldn't own pets. I hadn't even left the park before I was sending pics to friends & arranging my next visit. There's something for everyone who enjoys spending time outside here & I will most definitely be back often!!

Stopped here to let the kids stretch their legs, very nice playground. The kids had a good time, plenty of benches for parents to sit on. Also looked like a nice paved walk/jog/bike path and at least a couple ball fields.

Love the park. The only thing is I find the hiking/biking trails confusing. The signage just isnt the best for example; Look on the online map. There is no Red Fox Trail but there is a trail by that name. And the exit signs dont make sense to me. I thought that would lead you out to an exit but no it just lead me in a circle.

I love this place. There are a lot of awesome trails, the wetlands area is fun to explore. My kids love coming out to spend the day at sugar hollow and my wife and I do too. We are so lucky it’s here in our community.

Free access. Playground needs updated. Shelters towards the back of the park are as expected. Walking trails are well taken care of.

We love going to look for the turtles in the wetlands area and hiking some of the trails. The playground is awesome for kids. It has several sections for different age groups. There is also a disc golf course, picnic shelters, camping, and a dog park. There's something for everyone!

An expansive public park on the Virginia side of Bristol with ballfields, trails, and a camping area. My favorite part though is the wetland boardwalks, especially in the summer. Whenever we go back to Bristol, a stop by Sugar Hollow is always on the list.

I love this park. Don't miss out on the Haunted Forest. There's no signs but you'll know it when you see it. Nice shelters and grills in the way back, it costs a dollar to access that area.

Went to covered shelter at end of park to attend wedding. Weather was great at 11am. Busy day as there wasn't much parking available.

Stopped at the playground while traveling with young children. It was a nice location, nice equipment, nice bathrooms. The best thing about this playground was the ice cream truck.

Beautiful place. I had no clue this place was so big and vast. I went to two work events here this summer, one indoors and one at one of the large shelters and both were great. So woodsy and cool and it goes on forever. My only complaint is the teeny tiny winding roads. I got lost!
