Dr Van Pelt is by far the BEST Vet around. She is always professional, personable, and she truly cares for our pets. We have Senior pets and she’s always cheering for them and so informative and knowledgeable about what we can do to help them lead happy and healthy lives. I trust her completely and I’m so glad we found this vet but mainly her!! We never feel rushed and feel comfortable to ask all of our questions. I always feel heard and understood and cared for as well. She’s truly a superstar!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The whole staff is amazing and I love that they feel like a family as well as making me feel like I’m family when I go there. Amazing Techs and Front office. Can’t say enough about how pleased we are.

As a former vet tech and hospital manager, I'm thrilled to have found Roseville Vet. It's definitely my top choice in the Clarke County / Frederick County area.The front desk staff (especially Nancy) is fantastic - friendly, helpful, and responsive.The techs are equally great, and have always treated my pets with compassion and respect, even my very difficult "spicy" cat.The vets (Dr Ellis and Dr Van Pelt) are great. They take the time to listen, patiently answer questions, and present different possible levels of treatment whenever possible.The prices are fair, and I know many people are put off by the cost of veterinary treatments these days. But quality vet care costs a significant amount of money, especially if staff is paid a competitive rate. Having tried veterinarians all over Fairfax county and now out in the westernmost part of northern VA, I know that the prices are fair and not exorbitant here.(If cost is a concern, consider pet insurance like Nationwide. )I have used Roseville for a few years now, from young kitten care to senior dog and senior cats with cancer.I'm really glad to have found Roseville Vet after moving here and trying a few other places!

I’m new to this practice and so far have been very impressed. I really enjoy working with every single Tech and Dr. Ellis. In our very first appt, Dr. Ellis discovered that one of my dogs has heart disease because of the food that I’ve been feeding her. I’m so grateful to her for catching this and hopefully we can reverse it. She also discovered that one of my dogs had bad environmental allergies. He was acting “sad” for a few weeks. He had no interest in walks or playing. After Dr Ellis gave him a shot, within hours, he started acting like a puppy again. He now goes on our family walks and chases tennis balls constantly. Travel with my dog internationally so need it special health certificate issued by the vet and approved by USDA. Kendra had all the paperwork prepared in advanced, exceptional service, everyone is kind, treated my dog with genuine care. Receive the next day electronically the approved USDA certificate. They know what they are doing. Great place to take your pet!

My wife and I are very impressed with Roseville. We came in as an emergency visit, and they took great care of our dog. The vet took time to explain things to us. I could tell immediately they really care about the animals that come in there. In just a short time, they took the anxiety away after taking in a hurt pet.

On Nov 28th 2023 my regular Veterinary Clinic was not able to see my 11 month old kitten Stella for an urgent sick appointment. Roseville Veterinary Clinic was able to work Stella in for an urgent sick appointment. Receptionists Stacy and Nancy, the Veterinary Technicians and Dr Amanda Van Pelt were all very caring, compasinate, kind, friendly and most of all, gave my little girl excellent care. I appreciate each and every one of you! I highly recommend Roseville Veterinary Clinic.

Yesterday, I brought my son's dog, May, in for shots and a well visit. I was nervous because May is an outside dog and doesn't get to the groomers or very often. I was anxious to bring her in and did not want anyone to think May looked bad.The staff, from the front desk ladies to the nurse and the Vet, were accommodating and understanding, explaining everything they thought we should do for May and even taking care of her bum and trying to get her to pee for them.Thank you for all you have done for May and me.Lois

The licensed veterinarian has assumed the responsibility for making medical judgements regarding the health of the patient(s) and the need for medical therapy ***and has instructed the client on a course of therapy appropriate to the circumstance. ***2. Veterinarians may choose whom they will serve. ***Both the veterinarian and the client have the right to establish or decline a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship and to decide on treatment. *** The decision to accept or decline treatment and related cost should be based on adequate discussion of clinical finding, diagnostic techniques, treatment, likely outcome, estimated cost, and reasonable assurance of payment. Once the veterinarian and client have agreed and the veterinarian has begun patient care, they may not neglect their patient and must continue to provide professional services related to that injury or illness within the previously agreed limits.***As subsequent needs and cost for patient care are identified, the veterinarian and client must confer and reach agreement on the continued care and responsibility for fees. If the informed client declines further care or declines to assume the responsibility for fee, the VCPR may be terminated by either party. ***We were provided a treatment plan in which the estimated range was $885.50-$975.30 after reviewing the recommendations of treatment we opted out of $306.50 for labs and blood work, becauseA. We didn’t see it necessary as this was a non-life threatening situation. (Hematoma on inner ear).B. We know our financial obligations and thought it was best opt out due to it being a large expense.Now that we opted out for those labs, we were prepared for a treatment plan range of $579-$668.80. (Affordable range for us, so we signed).When treatment was complete and it was time to check out, we were told the bill is now $896.45.The reason being that our dog wasn’t responding to the initial type of sedation method, so they proceeded to fully sedate her WITHOUT notifying us. Not only are veterinarians required to notify of such things, we as clients have the right to approve or disapprove of course of treatment.*** This is a form of malpractice. ***This is not a clinic I would recommend and I’m very disappointed in how this situation was handled.

We came in for our first visit, unfortunately an emergency visit while our vet was away. And we were so impressed by the team - their welcome, their warmth, their compassion. They treated our boy like royalty for his first-ever hospital stay. And gave his family peace of mind that he was in the very best care. Everyone took time to speak with us with kindness and clarity.
