Let me first say, this place is WAY better than Cox Farms and is worth the drive if it’s far. Took us about 50 min from Fairfax, but our three boys had so much fun. Tickets are reasonably priced, it’s clean, spacious, and there’s SO much to do!You can pay for feed to feed the animals, but what’s different is the animals here look well taken care of. Their enclosed spaces are so large and nice looking. There’s a huge obstacle course that kids of all ages can enjoy, and a big bouncing area. There are so many playgrounds and activities, we were there for 3 hours and there was still a lot we didn’t get to. The staff is also so friendly, and there is a brewery just a few feet away where you can get drinks and have a picnic. We will definitely be back!!

This place is AMAZING!! I went with my 4 year old son and his Godparents (my two best friends) in celebration of my son's birthday. I could not have IMAGINED how cool this place is. So beautiful, so much to do! The scenery is quite seriously SO picturesque. I was showing people my pictures and they agreed, it looks like I'm in the Shire from LOTR! Giant slides, animals to feed, at least 3 separate mazes, a fire pit to roast marshmallows (provided!), an apple orchard, pumpkins, I think they have different crops for different seasons but it's currently September, so apples was the main crop, they have TONS of small playground sets in the shapes of different things like tractors, helicopters, excavators, a jack o' lantern! They have these two giant bouncing pillows for kids 12 and under that my son was obsessed with. They have a gem mining area, they have a ninja obstacle course!!! So much! We spent 8 hours there and still did not get to do everything they have to offer. The market has so many delicious foods, and fun produce and gifts! I really want to go back and try the "roosteraunt" lol but it's only open on weekends I believe, we went on a Friday. There is more that I'm probably not listing here. Just go check them out. Seriously, we had a blast. Can't wait to go back for pumpkins!!!

Absolutely BEST farm in Virginia. They have endless activities to do here. I’ve come several times with family and friends, spent the entire day and still have yet to visit everything they have to offer. They recently added a splash add for the summer! They sell delicious ice cream, donuts, jams, jellies, farm fresh eggs, milk. The list is endless. The farm in the fall is extremely busy (as are all farms) but the spring and summer are less so and you’ll never run out of things to do. Pack a picnic basket for lunch and naps with the kids. They have fun festivals too, like the strawberry festival! Everyone on the farm is so kind and so very helpful. This truly is a one of a kind gem.

This place was awesome. There was so much to do here: pumpkin picking via hay ride, a lot of unique playgrounds including a tire climb, bounce place. You can enjoy feeding the animals, pig races, a cute miniature tractor ride for the children, gem mining, and much more. We watched a life-sized T-rex eat two pumkins, which was very cool. There was a "roostaurant" with outdoor picnic seating and a bakery selling fresh pies, apple butter, pumpkin butter, apple cider donuts, and much more. It was an amazing time spent with my family. They also do birthday party's here. I can't wait to go back because there was so much that we didn't see. This place is a gem.

In all honesty I was disappointed with this place. The grounds were a mess. Tree branches by and in the animal enclosures and the poor animals had very little space to roam around. The grounds were very messy and unkempt and had many hazards. This needs to be addressed. All this needs to he addressed. You also need to hand out maps so people know were activities and such are located. We couldn't even find the apple picking. Would not visit again.

Not to crowded, plenty of activities for little ones, friendly staff and a I really enjoyed tractor ride with opportunity to pick your own apples/pumpkins.

I love this place!! I’ve been here with my two young kids and as a kindergarten field trip. The field trip was well organized and gave great information about growing plants and composting. We also had lots of free time to explore the farm. The students all got fresh-picked strawberries and sunflower planting kits at the end of our field trip. There’s so much to do, from the giant jumping pillow, ninja obstacle course, and lots of different playgrounds, to mining for gems and feeding the goats, pigs, and geese around the farm. There is plenty of shaded areas and lots of picnic tables to have a picnic. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Great place to come in the fall and spring!

Fall 2023 We try to get out there each year and was really happy that this time they had added some seating at the field. The new splash pad is great and work has been done on the Ninja course.

Definitely a place to take the kids to tire them out. It has tons of things for the kids to do. It's super huge so even with a large crowd, you still have room and not feel like you're running into people.

I went on a Tuesday which was super slow and no one there. The hayrides had shades and was very convenient, it came every 10 minutes to take you to the apple picking. The apples were very small and not sweet, I was hopping for some really juicy apples. The activities was very fun, it was very scenic too.

Family of four went during the fall for the Halloween activities. Weather was good and the children enjoyed all the activities the farm has for them to explore. It's a good little drive from Northern Virginia but we'll worth it for a day of fun for the children.Only negative is if you decide to pick strawberries or something I'm the fields you might be waiting awhile to come back to the weigh station during this time because this is the most popular time for vistiors.

This farm is aaaaaaahhmazing. Don’t be fooled. You come for strawberry picking and you leave 6 hours later after going through bouncy houses, ship and fire truck playgrounds, bamboo mazes, parkour obstacle parks, 30 ft slides, trampolines, tractor wagon rides and a fully stocked farm store. Great service, great activities for kids and the best products.

Had such an awesome and refreshing time. There’s a farm truck available to take guests to a pumpkin patch or/and apple picking. The corn maze is beautiful, there are a variety of activities. I went in the Fall. You will have to get tickets. Oh and the fresh Apple Cider was just great !

Went apple picking for the start of the fall season. Plenty of activities for kids to do. The animals were healthy and friendly. Plenty of apples on the trees in the orchard as of mid Sept. Only minor issue was the lines in the restaurant and the bakery.

This is maybe the third time I visit this farm.I like it and I like the apple picking.Kids had a great time and fun.The Apple cider was good. Products such as tomato’s and okra was good. The place was crowded as its a weekend. It needs some works and updates ! To be honestSome parts need be updated ! The wooden helicopter and mazes are so behind and so outdated !The Apple picking needs signs ! Everyone and mean almost all of us, where like asking where to go! And the young man there, looks like he had a bad day didn’t give any really good help.Use classic signs to tell people where to go and type of the Apple and which side we shouldn’t go to.

Had a great time at Great Country Farms. We utilized their Military offer to go free on a week day. We picked apples, checked out the maze and farm animals, and enjoyed some delicious items from their farm store.

Great place to go apple picking .Different kind of apples to be picked from their large land. Honey crisp apple was my favorite. The farm has a lot of activities for kids and adults like pig race, wagon wheel , slides , apple cider making etc. They also have a nice market where you could buy fresh ciders , apple butter and other delicious food items.Highly recommend this summer activity during apple season.!

Met our Kids and Grandkid and their friends and young one for a day of farm animals, tractor rides, all sorts of pumpkins and playgrounds and then a big picnic by the pond !! What a great day. And the pig races !!!! They really are very fast !!!! And we got pig noses for the kids !! The staff was great, the experience was one that can be overwhelming, but well worth the effort to get there and park. And the walking is great exercise !!! If you haven't been, make a point to go !! You won't be disappointed !!

Second-year visiting Great Country Farms during the pre-Halloween season. Last year, it was fairly quiet due to the Covid outbreak; however, that is not the case anymore. The Farm was booming this past weekend. (Tip: get tickets early online)Masks are optional now, but it was nice seeing some people still wearing them, especially inside the barn where there were a lot of people. It was so nice walking around the property, seeing the different animals, pig races, kids playing, and people laughing. The ride out to the orchard was nice and luckily, we were able to find a few good pumpkins ready to be picked. A majority of the pumpkins seemed like they were already picked from their vines and just placed in an area that was easily accessible to people. The sunflower field was also so beautiful and the views were great.Back in the barn, the cider donuts were coming and going so fast…glad we got our hands on a dozen. These things were AMAZING! They were freshly made there and still warm when we got them. There is an outdoor area near the man-made lake where people picnic, enjoy food, drinks, and music. Another great time and look forward to returning in Fall 2022!

This place is excellent for parents with kids. There are so many things to do... Bounce around, go through the different mazes, petting zoo, ride the train and pick a fruit and/or veggie. There is a market with fresh produce, and a restaurant with picnic tables throughout the farm. I come here with my dogs, some place different to take them. This farm is very dogfriendly, even on the wagon for fruit/veggie picking. The patrons are friendly or they don't seem to mind them. The employees are helpful but they are not friendly. The young lady working at the restaurant on Monday around 3-4 was the only friendly one I have encountered. She was very helpful and informative. I wish they were all like that. The 2 young men working on the farm that I came across were friendly, too. I guess I should say that the staff working in the market aren't as friendly. They appeared to be more quiet and reserved. There is a fee to enter the play area of this farm. Check their website for details. I paid $10 for 1 adult. It is worth it if you bring your kids, and this farm provide an environment for the kids to be kids, and socialize with other kids in person, and allowing parents to just spend time with their kids.... Something that is lacking in today's world with technology. I love their apple cider, cider slush in the Summer time, and cider donuts!! Yummm.

Great Great place to visit w/ your kids!! More activities & very very economical ticket prices too! Much better than the other "farm" place that's closer to us.. Well worth the extra 15 min drive.. Nice staff.. I would definitely recommend getting tickets online for a quick entrance into park.

Went here for the Peach Fuzztival and had a blast. There was live music, the option to either pick your own peaches or buy peaches already picked in bags, pies, and wine. There was also a farm play area open for kids with slides and swings. One thing that I loved about this place was that despite not being apple picking season, they still had apple cider donuts and apple pie. This place is a hidden gem which almost seems to pop up in the middle of nowhere just when you're thinking the place doesnt exist.

The apple cider donuts were so good. (Although I wish they didn't add artificial flavors.) Not that many apples in their store to buy if you don't want to go apple picking. But the apples tasted really good.

Great country farm! Conveniently located about 45 minutes from the Dulles Airport. As you drive through small quiet towns, large estates and several wineries, this place pops up from what appears nowhere. My first instinct was to turn around because it felt like we were trespassing onto someone’s farm but keep driving down the scraggly road and it will open up to a large parking area, with a friendly and welcoming “visitor’s center.” We visited on a Sunday, and although it was busy, it wasn’t crowded. There is an $8 admission fee, which lets you onto the grounds, which has all sorts of things to do. At this time of the year, they had pick your own peaches (several types such as donut and white), blackberries and sunflowers ($1 per stem). There is a little outside “café” that serves popcorn chicken, pizza, salads, and most importantly, very cold and refreshing sodas/water for what I consider an exorbitant price (check my pictures). We had to take a wagon-ride to get to the peach fields, which were vast and clearly marked as to where one could pick and where not to. They are clearly getting ready for the apple season as there were fields and fields full of apple trees heavy with fruit working its way to deliciousness. There are play activities for kids (and grownup kids), live music and the marketplace is full of conserves, fresh fruit and veggies, baked goods and so on. If you look at my pictures, you’ll get a better idea of prices and availability.Throughout the year, this farm offers “Pick Your Own” or PYO (as I’ve recently learned) of strawberries, peaches, cherries, blackberries, potatoes, apples and pumpkins. All in all, a nice place to go with or without kids… I had my “grownup” kid with me, and we had a great time.IMPORTANT TIPS: 1. Spray yourself with bug spray, you will be out in the fields and the likelihood of running into ticks is HIGH. I caught a fatty one travelling up my leg. Wear covered shoes, pants and cover your head to prevent tick bites. Check yourselves in the evening. 2. Wear sunscreen! 3. Bring water or something hydrating as it gets humid and hot.

My only expectation coming here was to find apple picking and some kids activities. I was DRASTICALLY UNDERESTIMATING Great Country Farms. They're home to tons of happy farm animals, the most jungle gyms I've ever seen on one property, inflatable bags of air for your kids to get tired on, old tractors, interactive learning, affordable apple picking, nooks and crannies to explore... I never write reviews this long but I can't help but rave about how enjoyable this place is - even to a childless 20-something and her sister. If you hate nature and animals, you'll probably hate it here. As for me, I want an annual pass to this place. Highly recommend.

Great family place to go to. It has apple, pumpkin, sun flower and other stuff to pick. Your kiddos will not want to leave. Plan to go early so you can stay all day.

My daughter really enjoyed her time here! Particularly, the corn pit and animals. She's 14 months so there were lots of things she could not do yet (e.g., the ropes course, big slides, jumping pumpkin thingy). However, she enjoyed feeding the goats, playing on multiple playgrounds, mining for precious stones, and dancing to live music. Kids under two are free so it was also an affordable outing.
